When I first read the Narnia series I read in publication order: the lion, the witch and the wardrobe first. It was kind of confusing. Then I read in chronological order and everything became so much clearer and I understood much more of the timeline. The magician's nephew should definitely be read first.
Also, I have built an entire town out of legos, with which I still play. And age of empires! Love it!

There are 3 types of homeschoolers. #1-those who homeschool out of moral and religious convictions. #2-those who merely see the academic advantages. #3-those who HAVE to because the system has failed their child, who is now a problem. Perhaps this video should be titled "You might be a Christian homeschooler if..."

Because "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" was the very first novel of the Narnia Series. It might not make sense in the chronological timeline of Narnia, but it's one of those moments where you can read the "Magician's Nephew" second and go, "ohhhhh, so THAT'S why this happened."

  • @Yaoianimeluver13
    @Yaoianimeluver13 11 років тому

On Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe comes first. Because it came out first and you might not understand in The Magicians Nephew if you don't read them in the order they were published - or, at least, it won't be as awesome to read.

    Yep, I've been homeschooled!
Let's see, well, on days where my mom was sick, my dad kinda slowed down on school work, it was kinda random how it went on days where the parents were sick.
I didn't even hear about the Christian flag until my sister and I got out of homeschooling and went to school during my 6th and 7th grade years at a Christian school. LOL
Funny story, my mom read about half of The Magician's Nephew to us when we were very young, and then for a book report for my 7th grade reading class, I read it all the way through. That was the first Narnia book I was ever introduced to, and I got even more adamant about reading that one first once I found out it was a prequel to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, 'nuff said for me. To date, it's still my favorite Narnia book, one of my favorite books in general, actually. :D Yes, I've really nerded out on this one. XD
During our homeschooling years, we didn't have much contact with too many other kids in general, but this one can get a pass, though, in our cases we were way too young to consider dating anyway. XD
Yes, my classroom WAS my bedroom. And an old wooden bookshelf where I sat next to a lamp that got my face really overheated if I sat there too long. LOL
Yeah, I watched a lot of musicals, as in almost every single Disney movie (at the time), and a select few others, like Wizard of Oz, Bye Bye Birdie, Calamity Jane, and a few others that I probably can't remember right now. XD
Yeah, I can be pretty good at spelling, I've had a lot of people come to me to help them spell many words. LOL But it wasn't Scrabble, it was several spelling books we got in homeschooling, and just in general, as a writer, I tend to want to pay close attention to spelling and grammar and things of that nature anyway. :P
Well, when I was in 7th grade, my sister and I were a few years out of homeschooling by then, but we did get a handheld Nintendo player for Christmas, we got a few Star Wars games on it, that was awesome! :D
Nope, we were made to believe for the longest time that public school was the devil, and oddly enough, we never really watched too many things on TV where they had school buses in them, so no, no real contact with school buses in general. XD
No, my parents were not at any of my dances or proms, and none of us complained. LOL
"You might be a homeschooler if you watched The Price is Right for breakfast"? MIND OFFICIALLY BLOWN!!! That's EXACTLY what we watched for a lot of our mornings! That's hilarious! XDDD
When I was little, we did go to a park once in a while in Carson City, that was so much fun! :D
No, we didn't build an entire town out of Legos, we had Lincoln Logs! They provided housing to many a plastic figurine in our toys for a long time, and my sister and I even included furniture (where we could get it) and beds out of various materials. I'd like to think that our toys had many comforts of home. LOL
Hmm, no, I'd like to think I was pretty comfortable with being honest, most of the time, with my friends about how many shows I wasn't allowed to watch, not too much trouble in that department.
Mavis Beacon?!? Ohhhhhh my gosh, I am well acquainted with Mavis Beacon! But she wasn't the one who taught me how to type, I just doodled around on it. LOL We got that game back when my family got our first computer (but with very slow internet). But Mavis Beacon was fun, for what it was worth. I learned how to type in my junior year of high school, the teacher liked my typing assignments so much that he said he'd use them for future examples for other students. Shout out to Mr. Frasier, thank you for the confidence boosts! :D
Oh my gosh, first Price is Right, then Mavis Beacon, and now TV Land? Why do I get the feeling Blimey Cow has been stalking me? LOL Just kidding. But yes, we did watch a lot of TV Land, mainly Leave It to Beaver and Hogan's Heroes. :D
    Yep, definitely homeschooled. :P

Hey. I went to public school. What's sad is that nearly all of these pertain to me. Especially the 15 passenger van one. Both of my parents had them.

The Pledge of Allegiance is so weird, and I'm American.... I didn't hardly know what it was until I had to do part of second grade in a 'regular' school.

Mavis beacon! Hilarious! I forgot all about that. That was the only way I was allowed on the computer. I was a senior before I was allowed on the Internet and that is only because the dual enrollment class I was taking at a local college required it. No exaggeration! lol
