Great videos, really enjoy them. Which is your favorite kayak and why? I haven't seen you on your Preditor PDL and I am curious why. Which boat do you prefer and why?
I really love the PDL only the weight I don't care for. The Hobie is lighter so its easier for one person to manage. I've been planning on re-doing the PDL but my friend wants to buy it so he can go deep waters with me so well see. Both Kayaks have pros and cons but I love them both.
The lure is only 60gr so its light and I like it when the pole gives more action to the lure. My major craft pole is a lot stiffer I usually drop 80gr or bigger.
I see. Hey just a heads up if you catch a kahala with bright yellow fins that's a yellowtail hamachi. They have been popping up here in oahu. I caught one and released it thinking it was a regular kahala :(.
Hello yes I still have my PDL. Was planning on redesigning it but my friend wants to buy it so we shall see. The pole I forget the brand name since I wrapped the rod with some cushion and covered the name lol
Mucho Lucir! Started using those last year-beautiful lures. Also how’s the weather for you? Had to wrap up recording on my side because of the storms. Take care. Aloha 🤙🏾
Island Hooking ah I figured. Oahu got slammed yesterday. Bummed, too because I got some new baits to test but couldn’t because of rain. Not sure if you’d be interested but J21Lures might contact you about testing grubs! I think you’d be perfect for it. His disco minnow was one i’d think you’d enjoy using but they’re all good. Have a great day! See you on IG haha. 🤙🏾 Aloga
Be careful of the second hook when grabbing the lure to land the fish. If it thrashes unexpectedly it could be trouble. The guy from "Key West Kayak Fishing" only puts one hook on his jigs and says he hasn't noticed a decline in hookups. Might be worth a try for safety. Less chance of snagging the bottom too.
Eventually I'll put some out with some Ulua fishing as well. Just been busy with kayaking right now and the weather not so good. But yes I'll get some out.
Aw man that was a nice rainbow runner, Neva have the black streak by the eye, plus had the yellow stripe down the middle of its side.
Solid skreeemers on the two Kahalas! Nice catches bro, Island Hooking strikes again! Love all the great videos, keep um comin'🎣👍

i noticed your rod action seems kind of whippy. is there a reason why you don't use a stiffer jigging rod?

Hi, great video. Do you still have the PDL?, I have not seen it lately. What jigging rod you used in your video?. Tight lines.

What size reel do you use for jigging?
