Just an fyi, the nitro surf you used to baitcast is a spinning rod 😅 she still go though but typically the main difference between the conventional and spinning rods is going to be the guides where the conventional ones have smaller guides to help casting more
The aerator stone makes a huge difference. I’ve used cheap Walmart plug in pumps at my house and it worked for me.

@bendyourpolefishing Fishing rods have back bones too so they are meant bend one way for maximum strength and proper action of the rod.
