With Jedburgh agent Smith now rescued from the clutches of the SD, X Detachment move on to their next assignment. They must pick up vital supplies delivered via airdrop to arm their French Resistance allies. But the airdrop must take place deep behind enemy lines, near a busy thoroughfare used to transport the enemy to the front. Will the SAS achieve their objective or will the Wehrmacht overrun the drop zone?
Assembled from the finest of Britain’s fighting forces, X Detachment sow chaos among the ranks of the Wehrmacht from behind enemy lines. Nominally under the command of the SAS they range the woods, fields and lanes of Normandy disrupting lines of communication, destroying supply dumps and waging guerrilla warfare on the Axis occupiers. Lead by Captain Richard Hedley, X Detachment maintains a precarious existence in a secret war unknown to even many of their allies...

Haha, yeah that was for you. 😂
Dude I LOVE your production values and storytelling! I have zero interest in the game but watch all your reports for the pure entertainment value, keep it up!
Aw, thanks! ♥
You gotta love a little cycle on cycle action! They killed BESSY!! Those Kraut bastards!!! Epic stuff as always and way to go Brits!!!
RIP Bessy 🐄
Love your work, X Detachment is the best!
Thanks!
This is my favorite series of this channel
Absolutely loved it , epic game and love the story ! Keep them coming my friend.
Excellent work as always. And you launched the patreon? Excellent
Absolutely fantastic! You don't get enough credit.
I really love your battle reports, it would be awesome to see some napoleonic/AWI eventually ❤
Thanks! I think Sharpe Practice would be perfect for that. If only I had any minis for that period...
These are the best. I look forward to them. Thanks!
I love your video, only thing I noticed is that IED only came into use in 2003 so kind of stood out as an anachronism
Nah, did my research on that, the term 'IED' was used in the early 20th century, popularised in the early 21st century during the Iraq war.
@@cinematictabletop Oh, neat! What sources did you use to find it?
Anecdotal TBH. Mostly from talking to an old fellow who was with the Royal Engineers. I think the term was first popularised during the Troubles in Ireland though he claimed that the sappers used the term back in the day @@ArchaiKM
Must be a ton of work to put one of these videos together 🥵 Good stuff!
Thanks! Yes it is a major pain in the arse. 😅
It's here!
Also what film was used at the beginning when the paras jump out the building? I recognise it
The Longest Day, classic movie.
@cinematictabletop ahh that's the one. Love that film. Been a while since I've seen it
Mein Leben lol
The scenario seemed extremely unbalanced. Nevertheless nice production as always.
Yes the cinematic reports generally don't feature particularly competitive or balanced lists, but are rather used to serve as a story-telling/exhibition format.
