For once I’m going to say your wrong. You are a teacher 😂 Anytime you teach your child something than you are implementing the qualities as a teacher. Your a mother, teacher, encourager, UA-camr, homeschooler and the list goes on. Good luck with your new year of homeschooling!
Hahaha! Yes, well, I had meant more in the traditional sense of the word, but this most definitely works for me! In many ways we are embodying so many amazing roles as mums & homemakers aren't we! Great point sister! I was thinking the other day how it funny because as a little girl I had many "what I want to be when I grow up" theories, and in many ways I am living those many dreams daily as a homemaker! Great words of encouragement my friend ❤️ I hope you have a blessed week!
Great video Ashley! I agree homeschooling does not have to be taught in the traditional way. When I homeschooled we used books that went with the curriculum because the homeschooling program we used kept a record of her grades, test so she would have a transcript to go to college but we also did things outside the curriculum like museums and different activities for teaching science and other subjects. Teach as God and your heart leads you , there’s really no wrong way to homeschool as long as your children are learning something. God bless! ❤❤
Hi Holly! Thank you for sharing this ❤ Yes, here we have a lot of flexibility but need to create our own transcripts. I'm really excited to get into another year, I still want to use a curriculum but I may look for options that are more family oriented rather than all individual! Hopefully I can find what works! Thank you friend! I appreciate your homeschooling encouragement as someone who has already done it! Appreciate you, friend! ❤ have a great week!
I’m baaack I miss you. You can’t do everything every single day and meet every single expectation. Too much mental stress and sometimes it really just isn’t possible! You’re absolutely correct about giving yourself grace.
@@TheFilipinaWifeLife YAY!!! Girl!! You have no idea how happy I was that you commented and clicked so fast. I'm so glad you posted again! I'll have to check out your video tonight ❤️ Yes, you are absolutely right. I think before I was putting way too much pressure on myself to be the perfect homemaker, perfect homeschooler, perfect wife & mom, and it just made me burn out. I'm glad to be going into a new homeschool year with a brand new perspective.🙏❤️
Definitely love the crock pot! I've always loved the idea of the kids not having to spend hours and hours doing school, it's one of the appealing things to me about homeschooling. You're doing great!
Me too! And yes!!! I know the younger grades they do more play based. I know for my older she really doesn't mind the school structure! I think it honestly just depends on the child. I know for me the younger grades were easy but I started falling behind in one grade and it was like I could never quite catch up because I was forced along. While homeschooling I've surprisingly learned a lot about the "why" in why we do certain things in grammar, math etc! It's funny how we can learn along our children. I feel like the slow pace is nice for that reason. I think both systems can have blessings, though and I really want to stress that because I know that there can be a pressure surrounding school both ways. Thank you my friend, you are doing great too! ❤️
I disagree. You most definitely are a TEACHER, and a very fine one at that. I could even bet dollars to donuts your spiritual gift is teaching ❤ every moment you spend with your children just living life is teaching. Maybe not in the land’s eyes with a degree or tons of college education, but in the Lord’s eyes❤you’re doing a phenomenal job sweet mama!!! Also, my son who I would homeschool, HATES any writing at all, so I understand wanting workbooks for everything, but it’s not necessary.
Thank you friend! I appreciate these words of wisdom! I wasn't sure which comment came first, but I appreciate these sentiments ❤ it is a good perspective & one I need to remember. We are certainly embodying many roles as moms & homemakers! God bless you, friend! Yes, work books can be a helpful resource, but they don't need to be the entirety of how we teach. The book I'm reading that I showed in this video is very good. If you ever do homeschool him I think you would really resonate with it.
@@herhomemakingheart love you🫶 I’ll keep that book in mind! As of right now, he is doing really well, but I like to be thinking ahead and mentally prepare for other possibilities. Love your video!
Love this video Ashley❤ so honest and true. I know this will help others who maybe thinking about homeschooling. Wonderful job❤. You are a blessing to your family and too others😊
Ashley I love all your encouraging words and wisdom! ❤ My major in college was Geography and my favorite class was my very last one which we literally got to go out west to see all the beautiful land formations in person! I learn visually and by doing things. School always came so natural to me growing up. Great video 😊
Enjoyed the vlog. I love slow living and just doing what God leads me to do. I totally agree with you concerning the toys and other things that no longer serve us. Less is more. It keeps me in the right head space and it’s less overwhelming. 💕
I knew there was a reason I found your channel! When I came across it I was like wow, her vlogs really resonate with me! I agree about getting rid of things not serving us. Hey Ashley! Great video 👍....It is difficult to find the balance. Everyday will look different. I'm excited for y'all to give it another try and to see homeschooling content. Giving ourselves grace is very important in homeschooling/motherhood. I don't care what anybody says they are both hardwork! But the most rewarding work ever ❤! See ya next time 😊
Amen sister! They definitely are hard work. Love you sister! Thank you for this encouraging message. You're right, every day looks different & that's okay. I honestly have never felt so stress free over homeschool because after sending them etc, I just know that God is with me and I don't have to fear either way. We can trust Him to help us and to fill in the gaps.
Hi Michaela! It is such a blessing to hear you say that. It is doable and can be very rewarding! 😊🙏❤️ I feel like God definitely provides the grace in the things that He calls us to, so with Him in the center it is very much manageable! God bless you friend!

Yes, definitely! I love the crockpot! I love making different kinds of chicken lately! Taco chicken and chicken for wraps & it's always so nice and tender! Do you homeschool now Ewa? I was curious since you had moved!
