Sadly, both Bob Kulick (lead guitar, who also played on Kiss records) and Frankie Banali (drums, also of Quiet Riot) who played on this 1992 album 'The Crimson Idol' by W.A.S.P. have passed away (R.I.P.)

"Murders in the Rue Morgue" was an 1800's story by Edgar Allan Poe, made into a movie in 1932... Then, Iron Maiden made the song 'Murders in the Rue Morgue' (based on the film, I'm guessing...) There is a connection between Iron Maiden and W.A.S.P. ... they both had the same manager (Rod Smallwood). The story is that Rod Smallwood saw Iron Maiden take off in the 80's and also saw W.A.S.P. in Los Angeles in the clubs - they were a shock rock band that would throw raw meat into the audience after their sets... Apparently, Smallwood signed them on, and then demanded Maiden's then-label Capitol Records (in the USA) to sign W.A.S.P. in 1984 or he would pull Iron Maiden from the label... W.A.S.P. released their debut album in 1984... then had some success w/ the single 'Wild Child' from the 1985 album 'The last command'... However, Blackie Lawless (vocals and bass) was very unpredictable and fired the band after the 3rd album 'Inside the electric circus' (1986) and subsequent live album 'Live in the raw' (Check out the song 'Harder, faster' 🔥🔥) in 1987, retaining only guitarist Chris Holmes.
Lawless switched to guitar and recorded 'The Headless Children' in 1989 w/ new members, but Chris Holmes ended up quitting afterwards.
'The Crimson idol' was the final album released on Capitol Records... a concept album drawing from Blackie Lawless' own past experiences, but depicting a fictional rock star who ends up taking his own life after failing to get his parents' approval.
Because of 90's grunge and alternative rock, W.A.S.P. was dropped to the minor labels, but Blackie Lawless kept the band busy in the studio and on tour... Chris Holmes (guitar) returned in 1997 for a few years, but quit again in 2000. W.A.S.P. has re-visited 'The Crimson idol' recently, playing it live in concert, and re-recording it w/ new musicians in 2018 as "Re-idolized" w/ the film that was originally intended for the record.

👋It's me, the aforementioned requestee of the song. I would totally have him do the whole album but that would require some donos. Thanks for all the info, I'm a big fan of "The Story of Jonathan," about The Crimson Idol story, the subtle guitar and Blackie's voice make it so sick.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing my request. It also wasn't the 80's, this was 1992!
How much for full album reaction start to finish? Yes I'm serious. 1 hour 14 minutes with prologue

Always liked Blackie Lawless' vocals. This was a cool WASP song, especially the later half of the song was great.
