Hello, how are you all? Anyone else planning a BBQ today? It's going to be a scorcher! So a much needed fabric for days like today, linen:) And more specifically, two of my favourite linen trousers and how to style them. I thought you might all find it helpful to see a more in depth look on a specific item, do let me know if this is a style of video you enjoy and what item you would like me to focus on next? As always, thank you so much for stopping by and I really hope you enjoy todays video and find it helpful. Big hugs, Jess x
No BBQ, but was warm and sunny without the humidity 👏🥰 Instead I went to a service/celebration of life for a friend. I must say, it was very nice and it was fun too! Great circle of good friends. Nice when people are all on the same wavelength!

Hi Jess. I would say 80% of my new purchases for summer are in 100% linen- mostly trousers but also a pair of Bermuda shorts. In the past, cotton was definitely my favourite fabric( which I still wear a lot) but linen is even cooler in the very hot temperatures where I live. Unfortunately, sleeves are just too warm right now but I have bought a lovely oversized white linen shirt and have a cream linen blazer for when it get’s a little cooler.I think linen is very versatile and looks so chic even with its creases. Thank you for focusing on different styling tips for this wonderful fabric.🧡🌻
I love watching your videos as always really good advice. I think you've probably influenced me the most over the past few years and I do feel that my "style" is improving, so thankyou! Off to enjoy the sun later, in now probably my khaki linen shorts!!!
What a lovely comment Claire, thank you so much for writing that 😊 I’m so happy to hear I’ve helped a little, that’s what it’s all about for me:) I think we all have those ups and downs with style but when we start to feel good again it’s the best feeling in the world ✨Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine, big hugs x
Morning Jess. Your hair looks lovely in the bun today 😍. I love linen but some linens can be itchy. I have a lovely pair of black linen city shorts and a part linen summer dress in a mushroom colour that I've had for about 10 years I think. The summer has arrived in Yorkshire at last. Have a good Sunday. X
I love linen. On the brutally hot days we have here, 35-40C, I always choose a linen dress (I like dresses and skirts more than trousers, for their comfort). My tip for caring for linen is to use a slow-spin cycle, often only available on the delicate cycle, it causes fewer deep wrinkles. The items will come out sopping wet, I just finger-press and shape them, then they on hangers dry super-fast, with a fan on. Alternatively, they can be put into the dryer for a softer, rumply look. Linen doesn’t shrink a lot like cotton does.
Hi Kimberly, that’s such a great tip thank you 😊 I’m going to try that this week but I shall definitely just use the sunshine to dry them, we’re having a rare, and rather lovely heatwave🙌🏻 Hope you’re having a great week lovely x

Good morning Jess. I love, love, love linen. I still have a periwinkle linen shirt from 20 years ago. It is in tip-top condition. Thanks for the tip on ironing the inside of linen to avoid iron marks. That is brilliant!
Look at you Diane, with your super on trend shade of periwinkle😉 And even better that you already had it🙌🏻 When I’m on holiday with linen dresses I’ll often leave those hanging in the bathroom too, it helps to get rid of the worst creases. Have a lovely rest of the weekend lovely x
Did you know I am having so much fun looking for great mix & match in my closet? My daughter saw me some pieces that I followed your fashion advice and she told me to take a picture of myself wearing it so that if I need to go out and dress myself, I know what to wear by just scanning on my photos! Then watching right now your new video makes me wonder to try my black swimsuit almost like yours with my plaid linen white/taupe trousers, and that made me realize that I have finally found my fashion style and it's from your channel! Hello Ms. Jess, You know I cannot wait for Saturday evening/Sunday morning video from you. Outfit #3 is my absolute favorite (but, I love all of your outfits😉). I just love tan & brown together thanks to you. Question, is the white t-shirt pictured in Outfit#2 opaque? I am trying to find a somewhat thick, body skimming, non-see through classic white v-neck t-shirt. I saw that the brand you recommend comes in both crew & v-neck styles. Another great video. You look gorgeous with your hair up in a chic monochromatic outfit. I love linen. I have 4 pairs of wide leg linen pants(black, navy, beige & white). Looking forward to next week's show. Cheers 😉🌷
Hello lovely, so nice to hear from you:) Have you had a nice week? So glad you liked the idea with the coffee shirt, it's such a great shade isn't it. My t-shirt is not see through at all, it's a great one actually. Described as 'heavyweight' on their website which I would definitely agree with, in a good way. They use lovely fabrics:) Happy Sunday gorgeous, have fun styling all those linen trousers x

Good morning all, I am inspired to get a pair of linen pants for my class reunion coming up in August. I have been fretting about what to wear…linen pants. My favorite outfit is mono white with the blazer. Thank you always.
Hi Barbara, aah don’t fret lovely, you will have an amazing time✨ Linen does sound a wonderful idea of august though, the last thing you want is to feel hot and sticky at a nice event like that. Perhaps linen trousers just with a pretty cami? Maybe take a blazer just to arrive in but no doubt take it off once you’re there. Or maybe just a pashmina instead, for when the sun goes down etc x
It's a great idea Shirley:) It would certainly feel nice though I'm not sure how warm it would be? I guess there's no reason why we couldn't, perhaps just a little layering would be needed. Have a wonderful week Shirley and thanks so much for watching x
Aww glad you liked that outfit idea Maureen, one of my favourites:) Hope you're having a lovely start to the week, it's hot out there so linen is much needed I think! x
Hi Jess, live the video because I became much to linen trousers this summer so grey to have some inspiration how to style differently! Can I ask you what size is your Reiss white tank top please? X
That's so nice to hear Adriana:) They've become such a staple for me too, such a lovely fabric for Summer. With Reiss I'm wearing a small in that top, I think it's in the sale now too x
Hi Jess, your video made me wanna run to the store now to buy linen pieces! Had a few questions on linen though: 1. I’ve had linen pieces in the past but they tend to be prickly and thin. Is there a certain blend that I should look out for? 2. How do you keep your linen from creasing? My clothes tends to crease by lunch time ☹️ 3. How can we maintain the white linen or white pieces ? For some reason, my white pieces becomes off white or beige-gy after a few washes.
Hi lovely, that's a good sign! I do really love linen these days, far more than i did in my 20s strangely. I do tend to search out the softer linens, most often 100% options but I think it's a case of trial and error on the softness. I do think you get what you pay for in this regard. And remember they will get softer after a couple of washes. In terms of creasing I just tend to go with the flow on that now. I actually like the look now so I don't worry about it. It feels authentic to how the fabric is supposed to be and has a charm all on its own. I really wouldn't worry about it:) For washing my white's or beiges I use those little satchets you can buy from the supermarket that keep your whites white and looking fresh. They're not expensive and can really make a difference plus they don't seem to degrade the fabric at all like some of the bleaching satchets can. I really hope that helps lovely and I'm hoping you'll start to enjoy this fabric in Summer as much as I do:) Happy weekend x
Love love your ideas and style! I am trying to see how to get Arket items for customers in US. Love the linen pants in white. Could you please do a video on wide leg trousers in flowy fabrics like crepe etc.….high waisted and at waist styles that are full length not cropped? Specially in white or ecru would be great. Thank you so much for offering your elegance and expertise.
Thanks so much for watching Keka, I’m so glad you enjoyed it😘 It’s such a shame re Arket shipping to America but I know there’s quite a few companies offering that as a service so worth checking out. I shall also try and incorporate some more high waisted longer styles in outfit ideas for you:) Hapoy weekend x
Good morning Jess! Let me start by saying, that I had packed (I'm going away in 3 days) and as I was watching you, I slowly realised ... oh no! I need to re pack! 🤦🏽♀️ I was missing pieces with outfits and over packed on pieces I'd probably wouldn't wear. (I need to add, my husband thinks 🤪 lol) If anyone ever tells you that your content isn't helpful, just send them to me! I'm happy to say that my 3 linen trousers right now have paired up beautifully. I love belts and seeing you using them, I was doing a happy dance. haha Also, I too am, 5'8" and wear size 8\10 UK, I can copy you to a t. 😊 Love the white linen with camel, it's so chic. I have a mustard linen trousers and camels and whites looked beautiful. It replaced your khaki ones, in my head. Loved ALL the looks. This was a perfectly timed video. Thank you, thank you gorgeous lady!! 😘
Its great to know linen will last a long time. I recently purchased several pure linen items pluse some linen blend items. I am really happy about the pure linen. I also love the linen blends I have purchased. Do linin viscose or linen cotton hold up through time?.
Oh Jess, I always think ‘ Now I must pick a favourite look this week, but by the end of the video, there are just too many to choose from!!! Great tips at the end though! I have found that if my linens get creased but don’t need a wash yet, I hang them outside and give them a spritz of water…hanging in the sun, especially if there’s a breeze, gets them fresh looking, without getting out the iron. Need I mention I really don’t like ironing!? 😄 Hope you have a great week.
Haha! Well I’m just pleased it gives you a little inspo my lovely😘 Love your tips on getting rid of the creases, hanging in the sunshine is the most cosy effective of all too 🙌🏻 I love how the high street has become a little obsessed with linen these last few years, it certainly makes being more sustainable a whole lot easier:) Hope you’re having a fab week gorgeous, see you Sunday x

Lovely trousers! I’ve been enjoying my linen Bermuda shorts with fake tanned legs this summer. The unconstructed style seems to suit me best, and I add a more fitted cotton tee tucked in. Bought my shorts in the Nordstrom sale at a very good price! xx

Hi Jess, I love watching your videos, you have great style and have always done a lot of research into alternative options. Quick request, as a larger than average size (44/16) would you be able to throw in a few good options for people in larger bodies? Some of the providers your suggest include my size but there may be people out there who love your videos too but are in 18+ and who need some inspiration. Thanks 😊
Hi Emma, thanks so much for stopping by:) That’s a great idea I shall make sure I try and do that. I’ll have a good research too whos making the best selection right now in those sizes. I know petite women find it harder too, the selection is so limited so I’m on a mission to find the best brands. Have a lovely rest of the weekend Emma x

Afternoon Jess, how cute do you look with your little bun ❤ love an oversized shirt, with a white vest top underneath. I'm currently styling it out in my conservatory hiding from the sun, in a T shirt, with ketchup stain from earlier 😂 enjoy your Sunday xx 😘
Aww thanks gorgeous 😘 Well I’m fairness the bun was actually a distraction tactic from having cut my fringe waaaaay too short🤣 It feels like the sort of cut my mum would have done for me when I was about 10 haha! How’s the tan going through the conservatory?! Aren’t you scorching in there? I’m currently boiling alive trying to play frisbee (badly) with my crew😂 I think my talents lie elsewhere 🤣 x
Good morning Jess, tell me how you look so perfect in linen, I look like a crumpled mess - do you just not sit down?! 😁. Hope you enjoy the sunshine, I've been really unwell with covid the last week so today is the first day I'm stepping outside my door, going to sit in the shade, read and no doubt fall asleep 😴. Enjoy your day lovely x
I really love the Reiss top that you are wearing and am keeping an eye on it online. I'm hoping I can get it on promotion at Canadian retailer The Bay.
Thanks so much lovely, I'm glad you like it too, it was a good buy:) Keep an eye on Vestiare Collective too they often feature Reiss. Have a lovely week ahead and thanks as always for your support x
Hi Tam, that’s an interesting one really, I guess it depends what your climate is like where you live? Personally I think come the middle of Autumn I put my linen pieces away for a while as that cooling effect is not helpful when it’s cold. I think so long as you have at least springtime heat linen can be a really good option x
Your outfits look great. However, aside from just accepting the unsightly creases which come even after sitting down once, the pants get baggy and go up 1 or 2 sizes while you’re wearing them. They go back to normal size after laundering but that doesn’t help how awful they look while you’re out and about.
Hi Claire, no worries lovely I think a lot of people get confused where it is. Where I've written 'All the outfits are written below' theres a button there that says 'Show more' and that's essentially the description box with all the links. Any probs lets me know x
Some outfits were kinda matchy-matchy. In order to keep the overall minimalistic look, can play with accessories, such as altering shapes, textures, patterns, and different shades/hues of colors from the same family. For example, changing to a belt with alligator-leather effect in outfit 3. Btw, the black loafers in shirt-styling felt a bit too heavy and stark for the light-weighted outfit...

That's so kind of you Elizabeth, thank you:) And it's my pleasure, I'm just glad you found it helpful x

Aww thank you so much Najaf, that makes me very happy to hear:) Glad you liked today's outfit ideas lovely and here's to a wonderful week ahead x
Ooooh I love linen, it’s summers best friend. Love all your suggestions but really love the white trousers and tan blouse, just a gorgeous combo 👍
Aww glad you liked that outfit idea Maureen, one of my favourites:) Hope you're having a lovely start to the week, it's hot out there so linen is much needed I think! x
Undone chic with one surprising accessory
Thanks so much for watching Catherine, I hope you enjoyed it and it gave you a few ideas x
my favorite - #3! 🤍
Had a few questions on linen though:
1. I’ve had linen pieces in the past but they tend to be prickly and thin. Is there a certain blend that I should look out for?
2. How do you keep your linen from creasing? My clothes tends to crease by lunch time ☹️
Hello Jess! Thank you so much for this video! I love thud kind of trousers, so is great learn from you hos to style them! Amazing!!!!
So happy to hear you enjoyed it Maria:) x
Morning Jess, love the video. Could you tel me what size you went for with the COS white tshirt? Thanks xxx
Morning lovely, I have the medium but I probably would have been fine with the small as the fit is fairly oversized x
Love the linen look so many outfit that look chic I'm on the hunt for a lovely pair of linen trousers x
Its great to know linen will last a long time. I recently purchased several pure linen items pluse some linen blend items. I am really happy about the pure linen. I also love the linen blends I have purchased. Do linin viscose or linen cotton hold up through time?.
Love you and everything u do. Keep up great work. Plus thanks for help with linen.
It's my pleasure Tammy, thanks so much for watching x
Love all the outfits great style
Thanks so much for watching x
Amazing outfits
Good morning Jess. Great styling tips. I’m wearing a beautiful white linen dress today as it is Eid today xx
P.S I think I’m the only person I know that loves ironing😱 I get a good podcast on and it feels quite chilled and therapeutic. Strange I know🤣 x
@@FashionStyleEdit I actually used to feel the same…but now, I guess I’m just too lazy, lol! 😉
I love your versatile summer collection, you look stunning!❤
What a lovely thing to write thank you Maria:) Have a wonderful week ahead x
Hello! Thanks for the great post! Could you tell me where you got those beautiful khaki linen trousers from, please? Might have missed it. Thanks!! Ines
Hi Ines, those ones are from Cos:) I've linked them in the description if you need it. Happy Sunday lovely x
Your style is so refined yet effortless - you look stunning in every single outfit. I love your style tips: what a great idea to combine silk and linen together Thank you so much and you look like young Brigitte Bardot in that chic hair style.
Aww what a beautiful comment to start the day with 🤍 Thank you for your kindness Kathy 😊 I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the video and it’s given you a little outfit inspiration x
Lovely trousers! I’ve been enjoying my linen Bermuda shorts with fake tanned legs this summer. The unconstructed style seems to suit me best, and I add a more fitted cotton tee tucked in. Bought my shorts in the Nordstrom sale at a very good price! xx
Ooh they sound lovely Pat👌🏻 I’ve seen a few recently n other people and I’m really liking the look. I haven’t found a pair that suits my own shape well yet but I’m determined to find one:) Hope you’re having a lovely week and thanks as always for stopping by😘
Hi Jess, wonderful video! As always I come away with new ways to style my clothing in different ways. Thank so much for the styling tips. 💗
That's so lovely to hear, thank you for writing that Jeanette:) Happy styling lovely x
Awesome 😊😊 thanks Jess 🎉
Hello Jess 😊 I too love casual nice, dressing. Simple, stylish .. and I do accessorize. It's a nice statement, indeed! Ofcourse I like all of your outfits featured. Stunning! I do not own a pair of linen trousers. I've looked at them, but I can't seem to get past my linen pull on cropped pants. So comfy! I have in white, black and beige. I do share in linen blouses and a blazer, however! Thank you for your stylish tips and enjoy your week as well, lovely! ❤️🌹
Hello Gina, so lovely to hear from you:) It sounds like you have a whole selection of linen garments to see you through Summer! Hopefully today's video has given you a few new ways to style them all together. I love how full the high street is of this fabric, certainly makes it easier for us all to dress more sustainable. Have a wonderful week Gina, best wishes x
Love the flow of your video and, linen styling
Thank you so much Deborah x
This channel is a gem
Hi from Australia I love your looks and linen is definitely a must for our hot summers. 💕
Hi Vicki, thanks so much for watching all the way from Oz:) We love it over there 🇦🇺 So happy to hear you enjoyed the video x
Super super amazing as a blond 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks so much x
Looking pretty
Afternoon Jess, how cute do you look with your little bun ❤
love an oversized shirt, with a white vest top underneath.
I'm currently styling it out in my conservatory hiding from the sun, in a T shirt, with ketchup stain from earlier 😂
enjoy your Sunday xx 😘
Aww thanks gorgeous 😘 Well I’m fairness the bun was actually a distraction tactic from having cut my fringe waaaaay too short🤣 It feels like the sort of cut my mum would have done for me when I was about 10 haha! How’s the tan going through the conservatory?! Aren’t you scorching in there? I’m currently boiling alive trying to play frisbee (badly) with my crew😂 I think my talents lie elsewhere 🤣 x
@@FashionStyleEdit 😄😄😄😄 sun is on conservatory now, like a tropical hot house.
Might venture out in a bit😎
Happy Frisby Fun xx
Thank you, those were great outfits!
So glad you liked them x
I love it from 🇩🇿 Algeria
Thanks so much for watching Zineb, hope you're having a lovely weekend so far x
Good morning Jess, tell me how you look so perfect in linen, I look like a crumpled mess - do you just not sit down?! 😁. Hope you enjoy the sunshine, I've been really unwell with covid the last week so today is the first day I'm stepping outside my door, going to sit in the shade, read and no doubt fall asleep 😴. Enjoy your day lovely x
Me encanta tu estilo
Muchas gracias, estoy muy feliz de escuchar que disfrutas lo que hago en youtube. X
Would love a video on linen looks for the office. I live in Houston, Texas and it’s so hot.
Just 😀Found a nice pair in the charity shop yesterday for eight pounds ,I can never buy in a store anymore.
@@FashionStyleEdit thank you for the tip. Have a great week!
Wah asiik ..elegan
Glad you enjoyed it:)
Do you think you can wear linen in winter? I love my linen clothes in summer but not sure how I can wear in winter
Love this👏💐
Thanks so much lovely, hope you’re having a fab weekend😘
Great
Your outfits look great. However, aside from just accepting the unsightly creases which come even after sitting down once, the pants get baggy and go up 1 or 2 sizes while you’re wearing them. They go back to normal size after laundering but that doesn’t help how awful they look while you’re out and about.
Excelente 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Happy weekend Cristina x
... I'm not sure why, I can't see the description box with the links?.....
Hi Claire, no worries lovely I think a lot of people get confused where it is. Where I've written 'All the outfits are written below' theres a button there that says 'Show more' and that's essentially the description box with all the links. Any probs lets me know x
I need that camel silk top! Please…
I liked this style of video. I would love to see a focus on extremely dressy outfits (mother of the bride, opera, opening night at the ballet etc.)
💖💖💖
💕💕💕
Linen is highly impractical as it creases to the point of frumpy. Unless it’s mixed with another fabric.
you look like Hydie Klum
Some outfits were kinda matchy-matchy. In order to keep the overall minimalistic look, can play with accessories, such as altering shapes, textures, patterns, and different shades/hues of colors from the same family. For example, changing to a belt with alligator-leather effect in outfit 3. Btw, the black loafers in shirt-styling felt a bit too heavy and stark for the light-weighted outfit...
Pp
Linen trousers don't stretch and are for people with flat butts
Repetitive content.
I dont like linen and the wide leg trousers look sleezy.
