It's pretty rare that a team with that many changes in the off season will be a SB contender. If all goes well, they can make the playoffs. All the potential is their in the coaches and players, but it will take time to get everyone on the same page, so to speak.
You're totally right and I'm not arguing that it's just also not very often the new regime takes over with a roster as good as Seattle's. If you watched the games last year it's clear the talent was widely mismanaged on both sides of the ball. I think they have a better chance than most to contend quickly after such a change.
LOVE MY SEAHAWKS SINCE DAY ONE!! I sincererly love Pete and appreciate all he did for us but it was time to move on. Looking forward to the next phase!!

I think you got most things right, but Tre Brown is the other starting CB. Michael Jackson would be better trained as a safety. He tackles well but is not that sticky as a corner. We also have Coby Bryant, who, for some unknown reason, didn't play very much last year. He worked out at safety all through camp. Witherspoon took his nickel position and did well. I can see why Bryant didn't start the year at safety. After about 5 games from Jamal Adams, it was pretty obvious he had not recovered from a brutal injury. He tore his quad muscle off the bone. Something I had never heard of, which says a lot. I played 22 years of rugby, and as a man, I played until I was 33 at a skilled position. I have also followed the NFL and NHL very closely my whole life. This was to give context on how rare Adams injury is. It's more like something you might find in a train crash. Adams could not go to the bathroom without help for 4 months. I say all this as I hate the way people have ripped Adans. Sure, he has bad hands, he couldn't catch a bus. He was a physical hard hitting freak. Bryant should have replaced him after Adams' first 5 games. For some reason, Clint Hurt never played him. Just one of a number of reasons the Hawks have all new coaches.
If you listen to Pete Carroll's final goodbye interview, he tells you why he was fired. Quote "I spent most of my time in the meeting fighting for my coaches." Pete wasn't willing to fire Hurt or Waldron, so he had to go. This team does have talent and has had three straight good drafts. The NFC West is the toughest division in the conference and maybe in the league. The Rams and 49ers are good. I feel Seattle is equal in talent to the Rams if not better. Ryan Grubb will bring an exciting new look to a stacked offense. Macdonald will make the Hawks a top 15 defense. Those two things are enough to go 11-6 or 10-7. As per usual this the NFL and injuries will play a big part. Our O line looks much better the big question mark. Will Abe Lucas be able to overcome his knee injury. He is an outstanding right tackle. If not, George Fant will play, and he is reliable, but there is no depth past him. Fant is the backup swing tackle. This could all come down to right tackle. What a league.

I think they will be fun to watch like their 1976 season, their 1983 season, their 2006 season and their 2013 and 2014 seasons. Grubb is very inventive. Whether he will have a wr standing next to the qb in their playbook remains to be seen. MacDonald and Duerde have to tools to create total chaos on the defensive side of the ball. They have the best punter in the league and just need Meyer to improve his field goal percentage. Special teams should be very interesting to watch with the new NFL kickoff rules. I predict that the Seahawks will go 11-6 and make it to the playoffs. If they are relatively injury free then who knows how far they can advance?
You know...there are times when I can care less about being a wanna be player scout or wanna be GM... sometimes I just wanna see what happens aka watch a game instead of pretending like I could have made any better choices for the team.
Fandome gets a little outta control sometimes. People were already hired to do that job.. my job is just to watch and cheer

"Didn't perform well in the playoffs" - Seahawks didn't even make the playoffs
Please take these comment for what they are. Just my opinions. I like the content, but a couple of things that I noticed.
1. Fant has been with the Seahawks for 2 years. Why are you showing only stuff from when he was with Denver?
2. I have NEVER heard Charbonnet pronounced "Char-bun-net" or "Char-bennet". It's "Shar-bun-ay". Or Riq called Rick.
I do have to say that whoever did the voice over has an awesome voice for it!!!
The Seahawks will be better than we think. I still think it will be tough to make the play offs.....so many good teams. But we will see. I am excited to see what the new coaching staff does with the players we have.
