The defensive line will be much improved. Macdonald's scheme is hard for offenses to plan against. "Big Cat" Williams, who can plsy 5 different positions, and 1st round pick Byron Murphy will help the run defense. The linebackers and safeties signed all have one thing in common, and that is very high pass defense ratings by PFF. Devon Witherspoon is a generational talent. His understanding of the game is beyond belief! And now he won't be sitting in zone all the time. New Offensive Coordinator Ryan Grubb is bringing his high flying vertical passing game across town from Montlake. DK is still a beast like no other WR'er. Tyler Lockett is still a huge factor although this may be his last year due to his high salary. He deserves a spot in the Ring of Honor. JSN has a year under his belt, and an incredibly high ceiling that should include multiple Pro Bowls. Walker and Charbineau make a dangerous pair of RB's. Fant has great speed for a TE, and we added some sold blocking TE's that can also catch. Grubb loves using TE's in his offense. The 3rd Round pick, G Christian Haynrs was a 2-Time 3rd Team All American at UConn, with phenomenal pass blocking grades per PFF, and run blocks with a nastiness we haven't seen in a while. If Abe Lucas could stay healthy, he'd be a Pro Bowler every year. We signed former Seahawk George Fant as insurance, who has lots of starting experience and can play either tackle spot. Free Agent G Laken Tomlinson brings a ton of experience and likely starts at Left Guard next to Cross. The Hawks will surprise many. The schedule is tough, but I like their playoff chances. Our offense was too unpredictable before, but Grubb is changing that, and the defense is under the control of a savant in Macdonald. This season will be exciting to watch!

Offense looks good Defense looks good as well now we need a long very accurate kicker one that has no problem with 50 yards and more putting it through the uprights. They have to be out there we just have to find him or her. GO SEAHAWKS

The Seahawks are not 'feared' and won't be 'feared' unless they can rack up 8 wins in 10 games. Setting the hyperbole aside, a new coach means new schemes. New players means that the 2023 talent and the new guys will spend **at least** three in-season weeks getting their collective act together. And that's what everybody else is doing.
The fact remains that the 'Hawks are in a tough division with two other contenders in it. This is not the AFC Least, ok? One relief is that our non-divisional opponents are fairly soft, but that still lines us up for the Lions and Packers. At least our Bye week is Week 10.
We still have two months of weed-whacking to go before we know who will actually be on the team and we won't really know how our new coach will fare until Week 5.
Why would you show Fant as a Denver Bronco that's disrespectful to real Seahawks fans we know he's been in Seattle 2 years already!!
Because he doesnt have a lot of highlights as a Seahawk because we havent been able to get him the ball as much as WE SHOULD be able to since hes been in Seattle and thats the truth. His stats havent reflected just HOW GOOD of a player he could be

Yes, I believe we’re gonna surprise a lot of people. New OC HC and DC. Although, we still have to improve on the run defense, I don’t doubt we’ll be more competitive than the last two, or three yrs.
we are going to learn a lot this year expectations are the playoffs but with a completely new coaching squad in the first year it’s going to be weird. jsut remember that if we don’t make a good playoff run, it’s these coaches first year with these players give them some time

I'm a seattle fan, and the only thing i can say bad about the seahwwks is our qbs ability to make a play, now I do like geno as a qb but he's getting on the older and closer to retiring side and I believe we need a new qb that can replace geno within the next few years

My thoughts on how the Seahawks are going to do this season is I think they will start off pretty bad as Mike McDonald showed last year in Baltimore that he runs a really complex defense but when they start to figure things out they will start picking things up at the end of the year.
i think we will be fine our first two games but that miami game will be a challenge with this new coaching staff

If you can adapt, your team is solid. If bladwin and other leigon of boom stayed for another year with the same team after the super bowl..we wouldve been a killer team fer sure. That era was an overkill team

Can we agree that the offensive line should be the PRIORITY? Nothing else matters if we can’t protect Geno. I don’t care what anyone else thinks, the problems start there. The solution starts there too. FIX IT! Don’t give me a bargain bin center you “think” will step up. Don’t blame injuries on our tackles poor performance. Don’t tell me 🙉 you don’t need to add a pro bowler to this line!! Do that and let’s go!
You must have been sleeping through the NFL draft and free agency.
Cross is a pro bowl caliber tackle, just hasnt gotten recognition and missed a few games last year to injury. Lucas may be one of the best right tackles too if he stays healthy this year. Those two missing significant time last year was probably the biggest reason the Seahawks went from top 12 offense to back down around 20.
You say we can't blame injuries for poor performance, but it is a factor. Jets lose Aaron Rodgers and they go from playoff contender to one of the worst teams. It makes a difference when you can have your best on the field or not. Everything was the same last year as 2022 in every position except the o-line missing multiple players for significant time due injuries. Pro Bowl olinemen are also not easy to acquire. Teams who have them like to keep them and likely wouldn't give them up cheap. We're probably talking about 2 or 3 years first round picks for any team to even consider it. Seattle only has 3 pro bowl o-linemen in their almost 50 year existence. WalterJones, Hutchinson, and Unger. It's not something that you can just snap your fingers and make happen.
Ok, fine. Which Pro Bowler can we sign with hardly any Cap Space? Which Pro Bowler is even available? 1st Class Rant, but no thought behind it.
