I feel my flexwing journey has only just begun. Like passing your driving test, the learning starts when you pass. I can't thank the Airways team enough for their guiding hand on my quest to get my pilots licence.
Hi Alan, yes its been a huge effort in the editing to keep the content coming, but its still fun. Yes looking forward to bringing the PeaBee back to Davidstow, when the world settles down a bit.
Congratulations on passing your Flight Skills Exam! Looking forward to the “long” version and all of the future, no longer sub-70, adventures. The very best to you, Giles!
I'm absolutely chuffed to bits for you! 👏👍 Great stuff - I'm looking forward to the extended version tomorrow. Congrats to you, Giles - here's to kitting up the PeaBee and getting some serious adventures going. 😎
@@GolfFoxtrot22 Very true - and acknowledging that fact is always the view of good, safe, capable pilots. Here's to extra freedoms for you in 2021 (hopefully as I stagger into the air on a paramotor).
Well done shipmate. Shame the sound went. Something about piss poor preparation...... Looking forward to tomorrows full version. Great that you are going to continue recording the upcoming 'adventure'. Hopefully I will be able to drop in on you in the coming spring. XX
Congratulations! I'm in the process of training for my flexwing trike Sport Pilot certificate in the US (in a P&M Quantum) and have enjoyed following along on your journey. It's been both entertaining and informative. Thank you for posting these videos. By chance would you be able to share some of the checklists and pneumonics you use? Some I'm familiar with, but others not and I'd like to see if I may want to start incorporating some of them. Thanks.
Hi there, I'm glad they are helping, I hope the extended video today is just as helpful and good luck with your Sports Pilots Licence. If you let me know the lists you don't know and I will fill in the blanks to help.
Really good video. I only got to doing circuits before jumping over to PPG ( which is on lockdown ☹️) but seeing this makes me think about going back to flex. Or do both. !
@@GolfFoxtrot22 yes, hope so. I did my solo PPG at membury in September then it all got stopped. I’ve bought an old bailey and got a wing on the way, hope it’s not all wasted money. Thanks for the reply
Golf Foxtrot 22 ..mine is a V2 with 2 “swan necks”, for the carabiners, did you find the arms got in the way or was yours a later model with straighter arms.?
Aww, mate!! I am super, super pleased for you Giles, I really am very very well done but I had absolutely no doubt you would pass as all us subscribers on this channel all had a quiet whip-round and gave that lovely lady examiner a few "bob" to pass you LOL!!! As for the shout-out for that dodgy brickwork, I still think it's yours and you took a pic of it to make out it's a professional photograph!! Seriously though Giles, thank you, for that mate and I can not wait to see more of your flying I love it!!!
I hoped it would make you smile. Yes, mode adventures planned, just need to be ae to get out now. Its been a fantastic journey, made extra special by the team at Airways.
@@flyingkub I always remember Jim saying in my Peabee lessons that it was unBritish to get excited. I was just so happy. It was like I'd just passed my PPL all over again from 1996 and I was 17 years old.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 I didn't get existing when I got my PPL the 1st time. I would say thought I was just as happy to be given the privilege of flight again.

Hi Sandy, yes. It's been a fantastic journey. I can't wait to get back in the air. You might like the extended version as well. More funny moments.
Congratulation Giles. The hard work has payed off. Well done. We all knew you would smash it
Hi Harry, yes it was worth the effort in the end. I've really enjoyed learning something new ( the flexwing side), to expand my aircraft types.
Brilliant Giles. Excellent video. Great advert for flying
Hi Al, that's very kind of you. I just hope they are useful to anyone that is looking to try out flexwing flying.
Absolutely brilliant Giles. I really enjoyed that.
Sir, that is an honour to get such a compliment from a man of your experience.
Congratulations Giles!!!
Well done!!!👏👏
Hi Sam, thank you. It's been a fantastic journey with more fun and games to come.
Well done Giles. So happy for you. Lots of work gone into not only the flying but sharing with us. Thanks and see you soon

Cheers Tom. At least I can start flying more machines now.
Congratulations Giles!! Great news!
Cheers Dan, it's been a fantastic journey, and the learning has only just begun.
Fantastico! Many congrats Giles, I've really enjoyed your journey and learnt so much besides. Great to see your cockpit dance!!
The cockpit dance was completely impromptu. Glad you enjoyed it.
Congrats!! Verry happy for you! Today i just finished all paperwork for my licence, in 2 weeks max i will get my hands on it. Happy flying!
Wow, congratulations also. A slight saga on my paperwork (due to legacy CAA licence) but it did eventually get sorted.
Congratulations Giles, well done on passing the GST..!😊😊
Hi Rab, I hope it was too much late night viewing for you. There is another one tonight. :)
Congratulations 🎉 Giles, loved the happy dance at the end. Well deserved.
Hi Rob, yes it was a very childish but happy dance indeed.
Congratulations Giles and thanks for sharing, followed you all the way.
Many thanks Fly Icarus. Its been a wonderful journey. Maybe I should have a look at a C42 😁.
Nice one Giles and congratulations. Looking forward to the full edit.
