Beautiful setup! Dream level tank right there. Have you thought about dosing with some Coraline algea? Would be awesome to see your reef scape turn purple.
@@fishdiary I hear it can take a couple months to take, but looks great once it’s established. I just picked up purple helix and pink fusion from Bulk Reef Supply and it wasn’t to expensive. It does take a second to get to you though because after you order they scrape it, bottle it and then ship it all in the same day so you have the best chance of it living through the shipping process.
@Mike H I will give it a try, thanks! The only concern may be that the Angelfish and Butterfly fish will keep grazing on the Coraline algae so that it will take significantly longer to get established but I guess it'll be cool to have a natural food source in the tank at all times.
Glad you like the new fish! He needed some time to adjust to the new fish and especially the huge Heniochus Butterfly fish since they are too large to go into the caves so they are always present in the open space where the Giant Moray likes to swim. He has gotten used to them though but the Tessalata and the Viper Moray are still a little shy.

Shame about the deaths. I was curious about if you can get money back if the fish die that quickly and it’s not your parameters. That was a good idea to file claim through credit card company.
It sucks for the fish when they are not kept properly and to be sold as quickly as possible. Usually, fish stores give you a 24 hour guarantee that the fish will stay alive but others flat out refuse any guarantee as they can't control what condition the aquarium is that they are placed in. This particular store had no guarantee and they also prefer people to pay with cash (red flag).

dude you're going to lose your fish if you dump them into your tank, disease outbreak is ineveitable and naso tangs, majestic angelfish, ect. shouldn't be duying within days after being introduced to a tank. Those fish can live long, healthy lives so something is wrong with this picture. Quarantine fish and introduce them slowly anxd you wont have this type of mortality. One case of marine velvet can wipe out an entire tank read about fish diseases and this will make you think twice. One hobbyist to another
He allso needs a uv steriliser for thoes sensitive species too....and most people know...take your time allways quarantine and never buy specimens that arnt in perfect condition....I'm glad he has the money to replace them all but sometimes knowledge and patience is even more valuable. Than money.
the mother of all FOWLRS!!
Thanks! 😊

Thank you! I actually had no idea that you can dose Coraline algae. I will look into it as it should make the colors of the fish pop even more.
