@@aueZlZane thanks for the views 💚
I've been wanting to duel wield for my first playthrough this is PERFECT!!!!!
@@chefskips looking forward to it!
Great video as always. :)
@@GingerSteave thanks as always
This is actually very helpful.
@@Bardicaggravation glad it could help
I was just reading out this in the rules. Thank you for the clarification!
@TravisActual-x8s yeah funnily enough there was some discussion about this in the discord just earlier today

Quick clarification, sword in one hand and shield in the other counts as duel wielding. It’s okay to use the same sword for the second attack?
I’m confused since the rules say attack with the other hand. If we sue the shield as the attack what damage base should be okay (I’d go with 1).
Thank you for taking time to share this clarification!
@christianhouser8188 just to clarify, it only works with a light shield. However, you would have to attack with the Shield for the other attack since it's in the other hand. Shields all have 1 base damage (bludgeoning) as long as you have mastery in them.
Cool. 😎
I love the flexibility of the system!
So do you use 1 action point for both attacks or 2, one for each?
@@RaqxesDK 2 action points. You still have to make both attacks. Dual wielding isn't a new action, but a new way to use existing actions
New martial fighter class is broken with nick. Fighter at level 3 can destroy/solo most tier 1 stuff. I watched a fighter do something like 60hp of damage in one round with action surge.
@unknownvalor9755 yeah this is for DC20 though so Nick doesn't apply. With that being said I have seen some incredibly efficient use for dual wielding in DC20
If I'm dual wielding short swords (which have the "guard" property), do I get to add +2 to my PD or is that capped at +1?
@johnalford6964 Currently, the PD bonus does stack. There is no limit to how much it can increase
Casting cantrips or spells can't be dualwielded I guess?
If a creature had both hands free, it could cast with one, then the other hand🧐
As of right now there aren't any specific rules about what spell requires what kind of component, dont know how somatic components are ruled, do i need 1,2 or no free hand? If casting requires 1 hand, that would be a strong case for dualcasting/wielding spells🤷🏼♂️
@eltrox1 currently there is no way to "dual wield" spells. Somatic components only require one hand, which should be laid out better in future updates
How much did that man get paid for an incomplete game?
@richardrdotson if you are referring to DC20 the game is still in development and many wording issues exist. An update will be coming relative soon to reword and reorganize information in an attempt for clarity
@ still gotta give him props. There are some good ideas, but I don’t get why not wait until the game is finished before asking for money.
@richardrdotson development is a process, and it is not free, plus he needs to sustain himself as he works on the game. Most projects require funding before their release
@@claudio_wild if it weren’t millions of dollars we might be having a different conversation
