The point you made about getting out there and figuring it out being more valuable than just watching videos is some real talk. I appreciate the authentic side of these tournaments you capture and value your contribution to the kayak fishing community. You have more influence than you know. Big up from a GA angler. Tight lines!
You've taught me so much over the years, thank you, Greg! I'm certainly twice the fisherman I was in my kayak from before I've started watching your videos! I do agree that going out and fishing is better than watching videos, but there is just so much you wouldn't think by yourself that is common knowledge online! I've certainly learned the theory from you and went to practice it on the water! I have a drop shot tied on all the time now lmao it's a life saver on though days
You are blessed to be able to do what you love to do with people you seem to really enjoy. Great season Greg... Tournament videos were really well done this year. Keep up the good work!
I have been fishing for bass almost my entire life. 30+ years, and I've caught them on damn near every lure out there. BUT, I have never, not once, ever caught a single solitary bass on a buzz bait! Even when they hit every other topwater I throw! Keep the footage coming!
It's great that you guys can have fun as "The Fellas" and fish like you guys do keeping fishing alive and interesting. I appreciate the videos and hope of posting myself here in AZ Tight lines yaw!!
Greg you were doing your best to stay focused and you did a good job! You found them by making a good choice when you needed it. Give yourself a pat on the back! You kept your focus on the goal!
🤣🤣 "oh yea, nuts & butts in here!" Love you guys and the crew. Always thought when the temps drop they move deeper. Seemed like when you had that drop shot it was ON. Same thing with the fish busting deeper.
You had another great year Greg! It's amazing how fast, a pattern changes. Love Berryessa, and all the beautiful big lakes you fish in Cali. Clearlake is my favorite. Another Awsome vid..🙏🤟🎣
With the way practice was going for you i thought forsure you would hit atleast 95in. Im sure its a pain trying to fish a tourney when the weather changes this time of year. What i learned from this video is to be prepared for anything! Thank you for sharing your knowledge to an amatuer! Hope you and yours are well and look forward to the next vid!
You guys have to have a sponsorship with sierra nevada beer at this point!🤣This is the kind of tournament that livescope just excels in. The first cold front in the fall is always a coin flip. It either turns fish on or shuts em down, no in-between. Great vid greg and great tourney season in the books.
Gotta smash the like button for the grind. Must've been rewarding getting bit toward the end of day one. You can tell you love fishing. Even if that tournament wasnt going on you'd still find that bite like you did. That's why you make the best content on YT in my opinion. Looking forward to you wrecking them on the delta soon
You guys make me feel pretty fortunate! I live in Alaska and when I go south I feel disappointed when I just catch one or two fish an outing. I have times I catch alot and times I catch a couple but I always throw a dropshot!
Your buddy Damian sticks to the middle of the lake with a spoon and slays the hawgs, im gonna need to get that spoon and try this out. I always ride the shorelines by nature.
Fished Lake George past weekend and man it was tough. Watched your video but hardly any smallies or LM were shallow. Majority 40' to 80' off shore. Drop shot and swim baits were our key lures. Great vids man keep them rolling!
Yup that was a tough one. I got 7 fish (4 smallies) dragging the drop shot in 15-20 feet of water and that was good enough for 15th. I fished out of putah canyon and had never been to that part of the lake. Reminded me a whole lot of melones and don Pedro.
I was pulling for you Greg. It can be frustrating and time consuming chasing schooling fish. I have had great luck when schooling bass are busting the top water by throwing a popper where they were and working it aggressively. It makes the bass think there is another feeding frenzy starting and they come back and hit the popper. Just make sure you have sharp hooks.
Felt like we spent the whole year together. Good or bad I take something with me. I have a 20ft boat but I am getting a kayak for next year. I have truly learned alot from you and definitely look forward to another great year and this winter bite.. #A-rig
@@GregBlanchardFishing I'm purchasing a kayak in December. I want tournament ready model all the bells and whistles.. So if you know or can recommend the best place or someone in the circuit looking to sell, please let me know. I'm 6'3 220 so a 12' would be my best option.
Maaaan. You know DT threw a spook all weekend....that's what he does and just having the confidence to throw it all day pays off. Especially in that deep clear 💧 water
A good lesson to tuck away; How pre-fish success can create a strong sense of hope, that, may cloud ones judgement. Greg found the fish that saved day one of the tournament.. at the deep edge of the weed line.
I'm emailing Netflix and telling them they need to give you a show. Call it Bassin with Blanchard. Hour long episodes of you traveling the country and kayak fishing top fisheries. You can cut me 5% when it happens 😁😁😁😁
It’s that ‘spaghetti’ like picture on the screen that brings out a smile when you see it. Fish are eating. Only a bass angler would know what that means lol.
My 2nd go to would have been trying to flip or pitch that grassy stuff but that’s just my preference. Once they didn’t respond to the top water for a while that is
Greg you should try and find a lens or use a lens from an older pair of fishing sunglasses to put over the front of the GoPro camera. Iv done it with my own to be able to see the fish in the water like you would wearing your sunglasses.
I hate when I have to look you up. I've been watching your videos for like 2 years now and they stopped showing up in my recommended lmao. Hope u did well this tourney(about to watch the vid), if not I hope u do well in your next tourney! Even tho I haven't watched you in a while you're inspiring me to start joining tourneys as I get older.
tough bite! definitely a challenging time of year as well. Where are these fish? Are they winter schooling or up fall feeding? Still love the videos. though, any day one the water is a good day catching good fish is sometimes just the bonus. Does that wrap the tournament season?
I'm a little surprised at the restraint when you have the chance to catch that beast early on. Don't know if I could pass that up and save it for tourney day. Especially for just few hundred bucks.

Take the hooks off your topwater while pre-fishing!!! Love the vids man!!!!
8:41 Greg showing off the guns
Greg has the best intro's. Hands down.
I woulda gone after the mammoth...but I don't tournament fish lol

You're right. I like your point of view
Mike's "what did I learn," was Spot On!" Well spoken Mike!!
"Nuts to butts" 🤣 Ensign is hilarious. Love you guys when you get together. AND, a bit of "Fantastic Voyage" by Lakeside!? That's a party!
Best kayak content on UA-cam when it comes to all around bass fishing, keep it up Greg.
Thanks Kobie
Ndyakangler a close 2nd!!
Im thoroughly enjoying watching more and more people drink better beer lolol. Them Hazy's are fire.

When Greg says "Did you see that?" And you can't see it even when he zooms in.
EVERYTIME! im like WhAt FiSh!?!?😅😅
He sees the fish with polarized glasses..
Bobbyofearth fish don't wear glasses
That was fun. I love seeing all the guys together. Thanks for the fishing lessons.
At 25:50, Mike "Every cast was a backlash, it was cool" lmao
Waiting for your upload.
Oooh yeah late night show here in NJ. Love that your puttin these vids out so much the more the merrier.

I’m always amazed at how much beer you guys drink, lol.
One of those dudes has some type of affiliation with sierra nevada beer. Think his family owns it or something
Shit that's the only thing I take more then I do lures !
These guys really aren't that bad. When I was in the military I knew guys who would put away far more than that on a daily basis.
And the funny thing is they all drink the same brand. If I was fishing with five or six of my friends would be at least four different brands of beer.
@@mikefurness1598 one of them owns the company bro. Expensive beer too.
Thank you for taking us along
WHAT 4 pm on Thursday?!!! wooow

I can badly fish out of a boat without almost losing something or falling in. I commend you on these great kayak vids!
Solid job. Tough days are had by all but in the end the beer is cold.

Love the videos brother! Fishing in my neck of the woods.
Bro that ending on day 1 , was epic very nice, sticking with guns/guts.got yourself a new sub. You just inspire me to wanna take up yake fishing 🎣.

Did Terrance tie dye his tackle warehouse shirt?! Lmao. Legend.
I just started kayak fishing. I want to join your crew 😂 awesome video. Best cali kayakers! Seria nave da! 🍺

Damn Daniel. He's a hammer for sure. Great video Greg. You had them around you but they just weren't biting. Way to grind it out.

Just a Tip Greg ,
If you put a bobber stop on your braid, before you tie your not on to spook, your line will not tangle on those hooks so much
tough bite! definitely a challenging time of year as well. Where are these fish? Are they winter schooling or up fall feeding? Still love the videos. though, any day one the water is a good day catching good fish is sometimes just the bonus. Does that wrap the tournament season?
Thanks man. I think a lot of these fish were suspended out deep chasing bait. Very tough to target and yep, 2021 tournaments are a wrap
Literally yelled Net Net Net at 21:57 glad you heard me 😂
Those giants Damien caught last fall speed cranking was insane one after the other same lake
