- When you've been praying for something for a long time and seeing no change, it can be really hard to keep praying...and really easy to start doubting. Not only can it be hard to persist in prayer, you can also start to wonder...should I persist in prayer? Is this something God has for me that He's calling me to keep praying for and waiting on? Or is this something God doesn't have for me? In today's video we are going to address these questions and talk about how to have persistence in prayer by looking at the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18. I pray this Luke 18 Bible study encourages you to stop doubting and keep praying until it happens. 🤍

Getting vulnerable here: something I’m praying for is to experience a VBAC with my second birth. If you watched my birth story, you know I was deeply disappointed in that it ended in an unplanned c-section (although immeasurably more grateful for a healthy baby). I’m doing what is in my control to set myself up for a successful VBAC, but also know birth is ultimately unpredictable and not in my control…so I don’t know what will happen. Regardless, I’m praying consistently for this desire and trusting God with it. I’m looking forward to hearing your prayer requests in the comments! 🙏🏼

May God bless you in your desire! My sister also had an unplanned c-section with her first birth. We prayed throughout her second pregnancy and she gave birth naturally VBAC to her second child. When her contractions started, her husband was not home and almost an hour away. The contractions were pretty strong, so he had her call the ambulance. By the time he reached the hospital, she had already given birth. It was so quick and blessed. :)

No, sweet sister, there is no reason you shouldn't want to be married. The Lord established those desires in us when He made us. Don't be ashamed or worried what anyone else will say about your wanting a partner.❤ Not sure what that term kingdom spouse means though because the word say that in heaven we wont be married, but I'm praying for what I call my Ephesians 5 man - everything God wants for us here on Earth.

Please pray for the restoration of my Christian marriage. My wife and I are separated with no contact for the last 4 months. It’s been so hard but my relationship with the Lord has grown immensely. Sweet, sweet sister. I cannot tell you how timely this video is. Right as I'm in the middle of despair of my singleness with my 29th birthday looming, after things fell through with a guy at my church. There was never anything between us, but finding out he wasn't interested devastated me. And then my best friend just having been asked out, and is (rightfully) so excited about it. So I'm trying my best to be happy for her and trying my best to be a supportive friend, while trying to get over my own hurt, and feeling like I'll never be married. I say all of this to say, that this video is right on time, and brought me so much comfort. You have no idea. The Lord is using you.
As a woman you have it easier in the world of dating. You could easily attract a man and get a date. I'm a man who is 43. I've been single my whole life but not through choice. I've approached and asked out many women in my life only to be rejected. I've used dating sites and apps which haven't resulted in any dates. I've prayed daily since I was 27 for a wife and marriage and here I am still single! I still believe and trust in God for a wife and marriage. I'll keep asking women out until I get a yes or I'm too old!!

I am 45 single. I cry about it all the time because I feel I've been forgotten or overlooked by God or if something is wrong with me. The men in the church tell me I am not good enough for them. Thank you for this video. It really touched me. My daughter was still born in 2018. I've had 16 early pregnancy loses since. The last a month ago.
I've prayed for another child for six years. I've also prayed for the Lord to take the burden off my heart of wanting another child because it's so painful to go through so many losses in a row.
I still continue to feel/know that someone is missing from our family and I'll never give up on that child. I will pray for a baby until my body physically can't grow one.
I will never ever give up. I am in a situation where any logical person would think I should give up. But I wouldn't give up on any of my living children and I'll never give up on an unborn child either.
If anyone reads this I would really appreciate some prayers for a healthy pregnancy/baby. I would really like to retire my womb on a happy note and say goodbye to this incredibly painful period of my life. Thank you, kindly.

We should never ever give up yes! But many do not realise there is a way to pray. We worship a God of order and for this reason I believe that when prayer is done in the way He expects it to be done, it is more effective. Just like anything else in life, there is a set of rules we should follow. With this in mind I recommend you check out a free sample of this book that I found after asking the Holy Spirit for revelation. It is called 'Prayers That Work: Using Scriptures That Bring Change by Kevin L.A. Ewing'
When you pray in the way this book shows, you will feel the difference! You will build more faith as well. God will bless you with another child. In Jesus' name.
God might seem silent and its really tiring but it doesn't mean he's not seeing be still and let God drive you through that rough road he's still the master of nature and he can never give up on those who call upon him
Going through my fifth miscarriage now. I am nearing 40 and have no children. It’s so hard to keep praying when it seems like the opposite keeps happening. Not giving up and choosing to believe in Gods promise as hard as it is.

It will definitely be worth the wait once the time arrives. Keep holding on and keep drawing closer to the Lord. Your singleness, though I know it doesn't always feel that way, is a blessing, a time for you to focus solely on the Lord (1 Cor 7:32-35). I hope this encourages you :)
I am praying for a job (just graduated) and also for marriage. I have been praying for both for a very long time, and had started to feel discouraged. I'm also dealing with coming off of benzos. This is the hardest thing for me, too, I ever dealt with. But I have way too many issues and traumas to even count, and all I need is healing.
I never expected though to see a comment mentioning benzos here, and it is reassuring to me, that others go through it, too.
I hope my withdrawal effects will soon stop, but it's hard to tell, when it will be over. I can only hope and trust God with it.

I'm praying for restoration and transformation of my broken relationship with my long time boyfriend, even though we both hurt each other but love still exists between us, I could have walked away after everything but deep down something is making me persist and pray for our break through. Even though the situation looks impossible in the eyes of man and I seem like a lunatic. But I'll keep praying until it happens. Life is hard and made harder when you pray and trust and am just met with disappointed time and time again. Im depressed because my prayers haven't been answered. God answered your prayer at 29. At what age would you have given up. 30, 40. 50, 60 it's hard. It's easy for you because you got what you wanted.

I hear you. I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve seen a couple of her videos where her message was timely, but when she gave examples of her own struggles, they seemed more vain that what a lot people experience. And at times I felt like she was the wrong messenger. Her examples would be Like making enough money for a certain lifestyle, getting marriage, a family, and even wanting a specific birth… like there are people in their 40s and 50s who never got a third of what they prayed for…
However, I had to check my heart, because I know I have been praying for a spouse and children since 18 and now turning 40, and nothing ever happened, the disappointment has been soul crushing.
What I will say, and have finally embraced, is everything I ever prayed for and recieved the blessing, I surrendered. I was okay with not having it and let it go. It’s like it came instantly and undeniably.
If we have prayed and done everything we can, then the next is to surrender it .
I really needed this. Thank you! I've been single for 6 years now, and I've been praying to God (everyday) for almost a year, that I want a serious and committed relationship with a man that has most of the qualities that I'm looking for. A few nights ago, I was feeling discouraged, and was even crying while praying to God that I felt unheard because I wasn't seeing much progress or change in my life. I even thought to myself "Does God even hear my desires and prayers?". I feel this video is confirmation that God does hear me, and I know deep down He's answering my prayer and desires, and that it'll always be His timing, not mine.

there's a situation in my life I've been seeking clarity in for a while, and I felt like God wasn't answering and giving me any sort of direction, the things that would happen weren't clearly pointing to either a yes or no. God told me He will give me the answer as I seek Him first, but I've been feeling discouraged recently and wondering if I should just "surrender" it and not even pray about it anymore, but I realized my idea of surrendering it was just refusing to think about it and acknowledge it is a real issue that is on my heart. and I know God has been growing me so much in this, and the fact that it keeps coming to my mind causes me to keep running to Him. I'm just tired of this constant struggle, but for some reason God wants me to be still and just trust Him through it all. He will answer!
I’m praying that God will help my daughter control her behavior. It’s so sad to watch her lash out and I’ve been praying fervently for this for months. She’s out of school for her behavior. I know God is in control and I’m praying that he changes her behavior so that she does not lash out and hurt others. 🙏🏾

Great teaching! This is something new and mature Christians struggle with. Letting go of my expected outcome and trusting in Gods plan for my life requires several spiritual ingredients at the same time. (Contentment, faith, trust, hope, dying to self and waiting). Lately, realizing I’m a steward of the things God has given me also helps relax my grip. We don’t actually own anything and can take nothing with us, it’s all Gods. This helps shift your attitude from accumulation to contentment. God bless and stay focused on things above.

Im 26 and I've been praying for 5 years for God to bring my future husband and I together. I've been on dates over these 5 years but nothing that was God's will. Its been discouraging because with each man I've been on dates with/short relationship, has gotten married after we ended things and I'm the only single sister and cousin in my family.I can't help but think I'm doing something wrong but I also believe that God has someone for me. I moved from Florida to Utah 2 months ago because God closed literally every door in Florida and made it known to go to Utah. Im praying ill meet him here. I'm also still on a job search. My Florida cosmetology license isn't being sent over to Utah's licensing center for an unknown reason. I've been calling both states so many times and leaving with no information I've applied to jobs outside of the cosmetology world, but continuously being denied. I was on the verge of giving up and considering going back to Florida (I know I have a job there) . I needed this video today, thank you.

I have several 🤍 I pray for the salvation of my family. I pray also for my daughter and her decisions. I pray for a true best friend that I can worship Jesus with and talk to about Jesus and read the word together and pray together. I pray for a home for me and my kids. I have so many things to pray for, and look forward to for God’s greater plans in my life, but I took a step back, I completely dissociated, I’m back again, it’s a start, my previous relationship took over my spiritual health, I started to make horrible decisions, I had hurtful thoughts, I sort of ruined everything through my decisions when I could have just surrendered it to God and prayed about it.
I’m praying right now for freedom from anxiety and fear. Been decades-long strongholds in my life. Also praying for God to bring me a godly spouse and to make me one. Thank you for praying with me

The timing of this video was really perfect for me. What I'm struggling with and need prayer for is that I believe God has confirmed His will several times but I'm still struggling with doubts. Even though i know what He said, the fact that there's no evidence of it in the natural has been making it harder and harder to have faith, the longer I wait. I start to have thoughts like, 'did God really say it or did I make it up?' I know deep down I didn't make it up. But it's so hard not to look at circumstances and base reality off of what I see, not what God said. I would love prayer not to be in despair and doubt over the (very long) wait ❣️

I also suffer from that praying issue even though i understand its persistence. Read 1 Kings 18:41-45 for an example of how the prophet Elijah prayed for rain. He continued till he got an answer.

I usually watch your videos the same day they come out. I tried a few days ago and couldn’t focus. Last night I finally thought “maybe what God put on my heart almost a year ago really won’t happen. Despite the encouragement He has supplied and the hints, maybe I should stop praying about it”. I watched your video this morning and started crying. When i first came to the faith (2yrs ago) I didn't understand that God truly loves us and in the waiting i thought He was punishing or would punish me. But now i know that God is faithful in all ways. And there is purpose in the waiting (Romans 5:3-5, James 1:2-4).

My goodness, did I need to hear this today. I have been looking for work for SIX months and nothing has panned out. I’ve fallen into despair because we were supposed to buy a house at the end of this year (which we can still do, but I wanted to contribute more to the down payment) and now I’m afraid we won’t be able to afford the quality of house/neighborhood we want because of me. My husband has been so supportive and he keeps saying, “You’re doing your best and that’s all you can do.” But that somehow makes me feel worse to realize that my best hasn’t been enough. I’ve never experienced this before. I feel like such a failure even though I know I’m not at fault - I lost my job when we moved across the country for my husband’s career and that was out of my control. I’ve just never had such a hard time finding work in my life! I’ve even started applying to random jobs outside of my career profile and I still haven’t found work. It’s terrifying, even though my husband makes plenty enough to support us.

I am praying for my mental health for the past 20 months. Things are moving very slowly and sometimes I get very discouraged. I am in constant prayer but become discouraged be cause I don’t know if God hears me or even cares. Maybe he doesn’t want me to get better. I refuse to believe that so I will continue to be steadfast in prayer that He will hear and answer my prayer so I can do His holy will. Please pray for me. I don’t want to give up ever but I want God to hear my prayer and help heal me through all the things I am doing with prayer at the top of the list. I am so loving the looking for love series. I’m in the middle of this right now and I feel it’s right and it’s heaven sent. Of course I know feelings can be deceiving but this man is beyond what I prayed for and I’ve literally thought if this isn’t God, it’s the devil himself bc it would have to be the perfect evil. He loves Jesus and encourages me in Him. He, like myself, wants to wait until marriage. We’ve both been with people that God didn’t want us with and we want to do this right. I desire your prayers on this one. It’s huge and it’s scary. I just want to do what He wants me to do, not what I want. Your will, Lord, not my will. Thank you for these!
