I wish you could sort out the audio sync on these more often than not they seem to be quite far out and it makes them very difficult to watch

I remember years back being on site and the guys was there fitting the built in furniture. He had a c18 sitting there and I thought what a pile of junk.
Then I didn’t have the understanding of festool and did own any. The c handle is great.

That new wood drill set. WTF. What sort of case is that in? You go on about how everything fits nicely into the top of the sys. Well that doesn’t. Looks like it’s in some cheap weird non compatible box. Also, why not make it like the excellent multipurpose drill bits where you can replace the bits but retain the holders.

I heard they are loud. It’s a shame.
They're not loud, they're really loud ha. Like the loudest drill I've ever owned ha! But, they're still my go too. You get over the sound faster than you'll get over a heavy drill, or a under powered one. For me power,weight and size are bang on for me as a cabinet maker.
Is the CXS 18 loud? Or is it just the CXS 12 that is really loud?
@@Adrock_U CXS 18 is loud too yeah. It wasn't a deal breaker for me though. At work people use Makita, Dewalt, AEG/Rigid and I personally have the old CXS, T18, TPC, TID and now both the TXS and CXS 18s. The one's I use the most are the TXS18 and CXS18, the noise that I dont even think about anymore is the old downside I reckon. For what I do anyway.
Just for context my:
Old cxs lives with a self centering but in it 99% of the time.
T18 lives with a #2 pozi to drive hinge mounts mostly
TPC is for hole saws and bigger bits
TID i should sell cause I rarely use it.
The TXS 18 is the go to for my pilot 3mm and countersinks (set for 28 and 38mm screws) and CXS 18 drives those screws in. Best weight, perfect power range (for me and my 3000+ screws a month) size for me. I use em with 4ah batteries not the threes, but thats what suits me best.
@@WhangaFish Thanks for the detailed response. I don’t own any festool cordless tools but have been considering the CXS 18 as the first cordless.
@@Adrock_U12 is louder than the 18, looked at them both in hand.

OMG So annoying..... A wanna-be celebrity. Some humor is fine, but you could cut this down to 15 minutes and still hawk the tool and prob more people watching.
