Yes using the cutout tool you are able to rotate objects in a photo. here's a video I made on how to switch faces in an image and it will show you how to cut out an object and then you will be able to manipulate it however you'd like: ua-cam.com/video/hgN0xZmvBa8/v-deo.html
Love Photoscape! We've got it installed on the computers in the MakerSpace alongside other software, but this one is definitely fun and easy to use. The tools available remind me somewhat of Snapseed in Android.
Thanks for the tips/help in this video. I am now getting used to using the app. If I want to merge photos in photoscape x, is there a video showing how. Also would I need the pro version to be able to merge bracketed photos. Thanks
Can I use this program to edit one photo on a scrapbook page I've scanned that contains several photos? Is it easy to "move' my finished edits to a photobook site?
Yes you can cut out pictures and paste them into or above another photo. Here’s a video where I explain how to do that in PhotoScape X 4.2.1 ua-cam.com/video/NKcL_cJ1fkM/v-deo.html
Just more in depth use of this program. I had Gimp and Axfinity and messed around for a while and just couldn’t find features or options to open the tool bar over a few days. I got this program and found features I love and have always wanted within an hour
I use AP but not sure what exactly you wish to know. My toolbar remains open. Do you do your updates? Reboot the program or the computer? BTW there is a plethora of YT videos related to the program with lots of new item daily being put up on YT. I was just poking around to find a freeware editor that did text and decided to checkout this program which seems to have a lot of useful capabilities and anything it does not have then I could do in AP.
Great video, I love photoscape! However I am only struggling with changing the DPI, I insert it to 300 and then save it. But when I open the image on my computer and check the details, then the DPI is nowhere to be found? Someone please help me out!
Does this program have capabilities to create a personalized calendar? Collage of family photos on one page and, of course, the days with marked birthdays on the opposite page? I've been using Adobe Photoshop Elements for years and years, but suddenly finding it can't keep up. It can't open photos taken by an Andonstar Digital Microscope (not compatible). Photoscape opened them right up. I'm changing over. Good video!
Thanks for the videos. I appreciate. I am new to this. Do you have a detailed video of how to remove dark bags from under the eyes? Or can you be so kind to share a few directions? I am using Photoscape X 4.1 Thank you 🙏🏻
I've been using LR & PS for a number of years. Mostly though LR. I've been playing with Photoscape X for a few hours and IMHO I think it is equal to or more powerful than LR. I hate using LR because it's clunky, bloated and a resource hogger. I've been trailing a number of other editors, because I want to get away from Adobe. This is the best alternative I've tried. I wonder how much more powerful the pro version would be. Thanks for explaining the layout in your video.
Thank you. Would I be able to insert a photo on top of a saved background . For example I would like to make a mock up for showing and selling my paintings by inserting a image of a living room with empty wall and then inserting one of my saved paintings on that wall I would have to be able to adjust the size of the painting.
Okay this is going to be hard to explain but if you change for example the background using the 'light' function and you add a ray of light and you add it. Then is there a way to change it afterwards. I like the light effects you can make with that function but if i change my mind about the color i have to restart because i can't change it if i already clicked 'add'
In PhotoScapeX I'm not seeing where I can save my photo as 300, 150, 100, 75 DPI etc. Doest PhotoScapeX have that option? I have the full paid for version.
once the image has been edited, look to the lower RH corner and you will see 3 dots (...) Click on that or use the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl + S. A dialogue window will open. At the very bottom is a check box labelled DPI. Put a check in there and there is a drop down arrow from which you are able to select the appropriate item. HTH
Well done video I teach tech at an elementary school and many of your videos are a great help. As you probably know if you're the tech teacher you're also a go-to for staff when they need help. Again, your tips help here as well. Thanks again.
Hello and thanks, is this editor non destructive. Do I have to commit to the edits I make every time I exit the program. Or is there any way of picking up where I left off.
TT -- Got to this video from a googly of freeware video editors that did text. Enjoyed the basic overview and will begin looking for more videos on all the options and how they work. I have long used MS Digital Image 6 and then to others including Luminar, Aurora, Affinity Photo, LR, Photolemur and probably a few I have forgotten about. I see from comments that somethings are missing from the freeware and no info so far as to whether they are in the Pro. What I would like to suggest as a thought is for TT to answer questions in the comments that none of the readers have spoken to. I am going to look for more info about the program and view more videos and if I come across something, I will try to add info but hopefully some of the other video creators will do videos about things not covered so far. Very nice. I want to create a design and turn it into a waterslide decal to put on a guitar pedal. It's about 5.75 inches high and 2.5 inches wide. So what if I want part of the design to be transparent? Like, if I put a frame around it, then a logo in the middle. The distance between the frame and the logo I want to be transparent so the pedal paint can show through. How can I do that with this software? I have the Pro version. Thanks!
Is there no way to increase the size of fonts in the menu and submenu items? Not text added to a photo, just the text you need to read in navigating the program?
Pointing out that replacements need to fit the computer as well as just getting rid of the Creative Cloud applications is important...glad you pointed it out. I run Shotcut, and like it, but would like to run DaVinci Resolve on my Linux machine, but the 'puter won't handle it without spending a chunk. I've got an ASUS 990FX motherboard, an AMD 8350 8 core cpu, and 32 GB of DDR3 RAM, but only an inexpensive NVIDIA 6xx video card. The DaVinci folks tell me I need to replace it...with a $300+ video card, so making sure your machine is up to the new software is important.
Great points! When I do a top list for free video editors I’m going to try and emphasize that. Computer specs are extremely important before pick what program to run if you want success!
is there something specific as a font you need? I don't know how many fonts are included but I would assume that the program picks up whatever fonts are installed on your computer. Have you tried to install the font to your system and then see if PSX finds it? you might have to close and reopen the program but you may be looking at something specialized if it is not on the system already.

The program you are learning about in this video is PhotoScape X not Photoshop so maybe that is the issue. However, if you are using PSX their viewer is quite nice. I don't import to programs and it is not required to do so in PSX either. I don't know what platform you are using but here is what I have done for years with a Windows based PC. Insert the SD Card. At the prompt choose to open folder and navigate to the images from the camera. Open an Explorer Window and create a folder in Pictures or wherever you store you images (I use a separate HDD and use My Documents>My Pictures > (many many many folders and subfolders -- take your pick). Now via drag/drop, use Ctrl +A to select all and then drag with R mouse and select when the mouse is over the folder where you want the new image to reside "Move". SD card will shortly be empty and all the image will be in the new location on your computer. Open PSX. Click on Viewer. Navigate to the folder where you just stored the photos. Voila you are able to look at all your images. Don't like something? R click and delete. Want to go to the Editor? Shift + Enter. I have not found a shortcut to return to the Viewer but using the mouse works ok. Want to view the Exif? Ctrl + I . HTH
