In the end, I just want Murder Drones to have more popularity, but there is not really anyone I can specifically blame for this missed opportunity.
Didn't they say Netflix said, "If you want Murder Drones on Netflix, it must be made more family friendly in the title. I know we allow Cuties, but Murder Drones should be called Meta Drones because Meta sounds better." Like man, if this is true, Netflix's agent was just business sense wise? Dumb. I get Mu*der is a censored word in YT even. If you say it, there is a chance YT shadow deletes comment. Netflix is likely same. It isn't bad thing, or, it is. But not much we can do about them pushing this weird two face, "You can't say slurs or swears, but you CAN show atrocities on screen." Really weird morals tbh. But I'm not the CEO of Netflix so I got no clue why they nitpick like this. If this is true, after all we don't got the official documents or any leaked calls. Which would be illegal to possess btw, but if true. Well. IDK some say Meta Drones sounds better than Murder Drones and if it means more views. Well, I can imagine the slight disagreement people would have. Meta Drone Fans vs. Murder Drones Fans arguing over the real title lol. Imagine if Netflix demands they even change the animation at the start to say Meta Drones instead of Murder Drones in the pilot episode. That'd be the cherry on top. But if it went like this, I can see why Glitch and Liam decided, "Nah." Can you imagine the community division between Netflix "Meta" fans and the other parts of the internet "Murder" drone fans? Course, that'd be a minority, obviously, but still would happen. I too wish for more exposure, though, if corporations want to meddle, better not to let them. Give them an inch, they take a mile, especially those without any ethics or moral compass.
@@SgtHawk45 yeah, Glitch was right not to let that sh*t slide. It’s just plain insulting at this point. Murder Drones is Murder Drones, not Meta Drones. Meta drones makes no sense. It’s not relevant in the slightest to the show, and I can already see most of the fandom being absolutely *P I S S E D* if the name were changed. I completely understand the real reason behind the refusal too. The only reason Glitch allowed Netflix to show TADC is because Glitch and Gooseworx retain all creative freedom. A forced name change is a direct restriction of that. And Glitch has said that they are strongly opposed to any creative restrictions at all.
@@Iso20227 It's the big trait I hope Glitch retains. Something Rooster Teeth lost. Maintain creativity liberties. Moment you sell out to people whom flip flop in corporate, to the point their own interests have me confused. The moment one sells out, well, not much can be done other than do as they are told. Which is good for Glitch that they got Netflix to allow TADC without any change on their platform. I'm honestly surprised. And how their deal is, if Netflix tries to push anything, they pull out. I am honestly surprised Netflix accepted. I'd expect some attempts at restrictions or whatnot. To hear Netflix agree to this is very surprising. Though, maybe they just have a better Netflix agent. We're only human, everyone's got bias and off tastes. Even corporate. Selling out to those who don't even place profit, they're... confusing. Goals beyond my comprehension for sure. Netflix sometimes drops bangers of shows and films, and cancels others of good quality. Always confusing to me.
It would be nice if Murder drones was more popular but I fear that would lead to it getting dragged into those content farms like whats happened with TADC
I think people need to need realize that TADC and Murder Drones aren't made by the same people. Gooseworks has TADC and Liam has Murder Drones they are not the same people. I'm happy for TADC but people getting mad about Murder Drones don't realize Netflix approved GOOSEWORKS not Glitch or Liam
So glad its still in Gooseworx's hands to control the show's future. I mean, would you like it if someone shut you down when they had no help in the show's creation?
As a MD fan who hasn't really enjoyed the first two TADC episodes nearly as much as I enjoyed the first two MD episodes, I can honestly say that I don't get why TADC is 10X more popular than MD but that has little to do with why MD ended. MD completed its story arc. It was always intended to have an 8 episode arc just like TADC. Seriously think about where a season two of MD would go. It seems like all the fun mystery is solved and the plot if complete. A season two would have turned out like all the Disney sequels from the 90s and 2000s did. It wouldn't have gone over well.
imo I think what made TADC so popular was the overall style of it, with mascot horror becoming so popular I can definitely see why it is, also maybe the overall plot is more accesible to understand and it's not too much for an average viewer (kind of like how people don't like a lot of sci-fi and prefer simpler plots because they find it more lightweight) This doesn't mean TADC is better than MD or that MD is better than TADC, is just that considering the current trends in media and what an average viewer prefers, I can definitely see TADC gaining more attention
As someone who started MD before TADC came out and instantly got hooked to TADC, I think it just comes down to preference. Also TADC is only gonna have 1 season as well
@@cohengamertv6548 well TADC is WAYYYY more popular. I’m not gonna get mad if my underrated indie animation doesn’t get a tv show when a better one that I don’t like as much gets one. And it’s not our decision.
I simply felt that the world of MD had more to offer in at least two seasons instead of just one. I am happy for Glitch productions as a whole and just felt that they didn't show enough love towards MD, although they showed just enough in the final episode.
I find it funny that especially this bit of drama is entirely based on the fact that people *literally* cannot read past the first few sentences or just are too lazy to do any research😂
As both a TADC and Murder Drones fan, the MD fans who shit on the show piss me off (even more so that I’m in their discord server). I understand feeling screwed over because TADC was immediately a much bigger show than MD but Glitch and Gooseworx have gone out of their way to debunk anything implying they pushed MD down in favor of TADC. Whatever happened to loving both shows like fans like me? Even if they have no interest in TADC, it still sucks that a good show is getting so much backlash from them as they continue to blame the creator and the company for the show blowing up.
So true!! Tadc is such a good show and it’s so sad people overlook how good it is because of outside factors. Outside factors they don’t even need to blame. And I say this as someone who preferred murder drones
My biggest concern is children watching it. It’s a huge problem right now and there is nothing we can do about it but the show coming to Netflix will make it worse. Parents might see the show’s bright colors and simple(ish) character designs and think the show is made for kids. If the monster from episode three, the chocolate guy eating the people of the kingdom in episode 2, and also Zooble constantly holding up the middle finger taught us anything this show is not for kids.
They actually even talk about that in the show I think the whole point is that they know it'll scare kids because it's supposed to be a psychological horror (as bubble said reversed in episode three) I definitely agree that kids shouldn't watch it but it's on UA-cam already so what do you truly expect
1:58 as an md fan, this idea is stupid. Md’s over by now, liams done what he wants with the story, it’s being ‘pushed behind’ (which btw, is barely even true), bc its over.

Anyone with a functioning brain can see this is a good thing... Murder Drones has NEVER been side lined by TADC or Glitch it was just winding down to it's last episodes as TADC got going. Was The Wild Thornberries pushed to the side when Danny Phantom Came out? No. It was nearing the end of it's run. This whole 'drama' is why I hate other fans of indie animation... ya'll are drama hungry and just seek out problems where they don't exist.

Didnt murder drones have their big series finale ep a few months ago or something? So its not surprising that its being pushed to the side anyway. Digital Circus is still on going, while the other is completed.

I've been following Gooseworx for 8 years now. Back when she was mostly known for music covers. It's really weird seeing this tiny artist you like suddenly become a massive online figure overnight, complete with drama videos where they give her little triangle avatar angry eyebrows...
Tbh Digital Circus has way more appeal than Murder Drones and the Story is just way more intriguing and seems more interesting and promising so I can see why it has becomes more popular hell they even Undertale it making many different AU's out the ass like so many I have seen in twitter personally my favorite is the Fighting Game AU one and the Dragon Quest RPG style one, but again Digital Circus is just way more appealing and you can see why, the internet speaks it for itself, also the art and designs overall are just way more appealing and each character has just so much character and personality and they seem very memorable, I could see Netflix why they said no to Murder Drones, when compared both, Murder Drones is just too bland and I like Murder Drones, but again just pointing out the obvious I can see why Digital Circus is more popular.
I think people also forget it’s a bit hard to market something named “Murder Drones” to the general mainstream compared to a more innocent-sounding name like “the amazing digital circus”
Another reason why they might not put murder drones on Netflix is that the show is over?? There’s no more new content coming out as far as we’re aware.
Honestly I never would have thought this show would stream on Netflix since it’s a UA-cam series, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try and see what it would be like to put it on another platform service and see how much money it can earn them. And if it doesn’t work out, they can just take it off Netflix and leave it as only a UA-cam series.
I still don't trust Netflix with the way studios and streaming services have been acting lately. Not only is the show still hidden behind a paywall for some parts of the world, but there's still the chance that they may still try to gain control of the show.
I mean to be fair Murder Drones is over so it wouldn't have that staying power of people really being excited for the next show or talk about it much after people just outright binge watch it.
I think the biggest thing causing controversy is its more than obvious that they're playing favorites. Its an easy trap for a company to fall into and will cause problems for future shows to come. The decision to end MD might of been influenced by tadc. As for future shows, since tadc comes first we can only hope that Gaslight District isn't dead on arrival because of tadc. We'll see what happens at GlitchX.
This is such a disrespectful perspective. The original creator decided he wanted to end the show this way. Claiming it only ended to make way for TADC is peak fake fan looking to stir the pot and be angry for no reason. Unless you can prove TADC is specifically responsible for MD not getting a second season, you're just inciting baseless drama. Also if you watched the video, Netflix approached GLITCH about hosting the TADC on Netflix, not the other way around. How can you be playing favorites if they weren't asking for the other shows in the first place? Netflix obviously wanted the more popular show. MD just wasn't as popular as TADC, and it was already almost over, so there wouldn't have been as much incentive to license that one over the show that's only just started and is at the peak of its popularity.
@@RevyaAeinsett Not to mention GooseWorx also want to end the show the same like Murder Drones, only 8 episodes. Murder Drones fans are petty because the fanbase ar full of 9 years old
@@RevyaAeinsett The whole playing favorites thing has been going on since the the pilot exploded in popularly. Its understandable. The other is an opinion based on what I've seen, and heard, over the past 2 years. Things go on behind the scenes, decisions get influenced. Again this is a opinion. All opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. The last part of my comment was a concern. I hope that the Gaslight District gets the love it deserves when its time comes and doesn't get overshadowed by tadc. Finely Netflix releases series with all episodes available from the start. So its unusual for them to want a series that has only 2 episodes. Other platforms are more known for not releasing the whole season worth of episodes at once.
@@BladeNight02 Dude, do you realise that The Amazing Digital Circus is created by Gooseworx and her team and Murder Drones is created by Liam Vickers and his team. Your reasoning is not making any sense in my perspective and I'm pretty sure it's flawed in every way possible. I still can't believe people didn't read the message in the comment section of the episode 8 of Murder Drones, like he clearly stated he might do more stuff with Uzi and N sometimes later.
This probably won't end well. I'd honestly feel better if it were Simul-casting on Prime. Idk it just feels wrong that an amazing piece of independent animation is going to a company that regularly kills Good animation much like Warner. In the end, I just want Murder Drones to have more popularity, but there is not really anyone I can specifically blame for this missed opportunity.
Didn't they say Netflix said, "If you want Murder Drones on Netflix, it must be made more family friendly in the title. I know we allow Cuties, but Murder Drones should be called Meta Drones because Meta sounds better."
Like man, if this is true, Netflix's agent was just business sense wise? Dumb. I get Mu*der is a censored word in YT even. If you say it, there is a chance YT shadow deletes comment.
Netflix is likely same. It isn't bad thing, or, it is. But not much we can do about them pushing this weird two face, "You can't say slurs or swears, but you CAN show atrocities on screen."
Really weird morals tbh.
But if it went like this, I can see why Glitch and Liam decided, "Nah."
Can you imagine the community division between Netflix "Meta" fans and the other parts of the internet "Murder" drone fans?
I’m glad that Netflix isn’t in control of any of it. As a fan of both MD and TADC, I hope they both do well, even with MD being done

@@SwayzeConnor-n4m Let’s see how that goes even though the story is finished and Cyn’s dead we’ll see
Same with Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise
As a MD fan who hasn't really enjoyed the first two TADC episodes nearly as much as I enjoyed the first two MD episodes, I can honestly say that I don't get why TADC is 10X more popular than MD but that has little to do with why MD ended. MD completed its story arc. It was always intended to have an 8 episode arc just like TADC. Seriously think about where a season two of MD would go. It seems like all the fun mystery is solved and the plot if complete. A season two would have turned out like all the Disney sequels from the 90s and 2000s did. It wouldn't have gone over well.
imo I think what made TADC so popular was the overall style of it, with mascot horror becoming so popular I can definitely see why it is, also maybe the overall plot is more accesible to understand and it's not too much for an average viewer (kind of like how people don't like a lot of sci-fi and prefer simpler plots because they find it more lightweight)
This doesn't mean TADC is better than MD or that MD is better than TADC, is just that considering the current trends in media and what an average viewer prefers, I can definitely see TADC gaining more attention
As someone who started MD before TADC came out and instantly got hooked to TADC, I think it just comes down to preference. Also TADC is only gonna have 1 season as well
MD is a confused mess full of annoying characters and undermines it's serious tones with bad comedy
@@Iwidelyoutliveeverything damn

I simply felt that the world of MD had more to offer in at least two seasons instead of just one. I am happy for Glitch productions as a whole and just felt that they didn't show enough love towards MD, although they showed just enough in the final episode.

I'm a fan of both shows. Glad to see someone not saying "MURDER DRONES WAS BETTER" Or something along the lines. But I agree with you
Does this mean Netflix can help take down the content farms
I hope this does well so Netflix will rethink murder drones
My biggest concern is children watching it. It’s a huge problem right now and there is nothing we can do about it but the show coming to Netflix will make it worse. Parents might see the show’s bright colors and simple(ish) character designs and think the show is made for kids. If the monster from episode three, the chocolate guy eating the people of the kingdom in episode 2, and also Zooble constantly holding up the middle finger taught us anything this show is not for kids.
Netflix kids is a thing
@@DIRTkat_ofc Yeah but some parents might not use it for their kids for some reason
@@Actually_insane_af well that's their fault and their problem then
They actually even talk about that in the show I think the whole point is that they know it'll scare kids because it's supposed to be a psychological horror (as bubble said reversed in episode three) I definitely agree that kids shouldn't watch it but it's on UA-cam already so what do you truly expect
Kids are watching family guy and south park with no problem, I don't think anyone would piss their pants over some censored middle finger

I still don't trust Netflix with the way studios and streaming services have been acting lately. Not only is the show still hidden behind a paywall for some parts of the world, but there's still the chance that they may still try to gain control of the show.
as gooseworx said if they try to control the show they can simply pull out of the deal
