Smaro, superb interpretation and performance. Thank you.
Bach we know, the 1007 we know, but Smaro we don't. Now we do. Bravo. Thank you. You bring new beauty and meaning to our lives. Thank you.
A portable harpsichord! Amazingly beautiful playing!
And Bach bowed his head and said Soli Deo Gloria.
Fascinating instrument, similar to the dobro. This is one of the most joyous Bach pieces, Musette is up there too. Bravo!
My personal favourite interpretation, by far! It sounds like you have a really special connection to Bach. Truly an authentic playing
Your teacher was clearly an exceptional person.
Nice to hear Bach with new sounds. Like nylon and steel string combined.
great JS Bach music using wonderful rectangular guitar
Watching you play this melted me into your music....
I can listen for hours it's so beautiful
Who knew Bo Diddley's suitcase could sound so wonderful.
A beautiful rendition. Thank you.
Great performance and beautiful guitar. 🎸
Wonderful guitar!! sounds beautiful as well as the artist!
Wow! Cool instrument!
Love this realization of the cello line. The harmonies are so beautiful. Thanks, Smaro.
Played with so much melancholy and desire. I have been moved to tears.
Really congratulation. Wonderful interpretation! You soon
For me this suite as Bach is all.
I love Bach.. is my favorite composer! 🤗
Wonderful!
Wow, celestial sounds, can t believe this, for me sounds between guitar and vihuela
Beautifull interpretation!!!
What a fascinating instrument! Lovely rendition of Bach.
I miei lunghezze
Great job!
Really well played!! That guitar has such a bright tone for a classical guitar...
A breath of fresh air. Imagine! In the world of guitar, there are at least two original thinkers, this wonderful guitarist and the maker of her guitar. The sound from both add new dimensions to both Bach and the instrument. Although the traditional, womanly shape is so pleasing, this rectangular guitar has found sound and sounds that add to the Ms Gregoriadou has taught me so much in just listening to this performance . . . Brava!
Maravilhoso!!!
Feed my soul! So beautiful! Congratulations!!!!
You have perfected in playing the musical pieces however difficult it may be, and make them sound so flawless. You looks as serious as Bach and as good as Bach as a musician, appreciate your sweet musical pieces. Keep posting. Any guitar shape does not matter for Smaro, eh?
Whenever I listen to Courante, it give me melancholy. Thank you. I wish I could play like you someday, someday!
This was very enjoyable to watch and listen to. Bravo.
Congratulations Smaro for a superb interpretation!!!
Just BEAUTIFUL :)

very beautiful!
BRAVÏSIMA!!!!... Soberbia...., Cuántas GRACIAS!!!! :)))
Gorgeous !!!
Quite a lovely interpretation. Not as dynamical as most of the guitarists do. Straight on and living on the rhythm. This sound beams you into the baroque.
Superb performance and rendering !
wonderful arrangement and performance!
+unagondolaunremo Stranissima chitarra! Se vogliamo chiamarla chitarra! Bella esecuzione senz'altro
O no?
Smaro has worked hard learning this suite - however, I can sense that her instrument is not entirely in tune - but there again, it is virtually impossible to tune the guitar anyway - so we just have to get used to it ! I prefer her performance of the Prelude Fugue and Allegro (BWV 998) played on a conventional guitar.
Amazing.
Sublime tocatta mi pequeña!
👏👏👏
Thank you!!!
Marvelous!
I will build guitar like yours soon. It
sound unique. Bravo!!!
Bravo!
anyone know where i cand find a transcription of that partition in tab or ?
Great guitar!! Looks like one of my Cigar Box Guitars!
Sarabande es mi favorita
Bravo ...
Nice performance, I prefer a guitar with violin shape.Great job on the Bach!
muy bonito
wow...
do you have a video about your instrument
the instrument itself is facination
excellent ! I love the way you give flesh and retenue to it :-)
MASTER WAY !
thumbs up she knows bach
holy shit this is sooooo fucking metal!
I wish I could give this multiple likes instead of just one
Now... I see I wasn't crazy at all when I decided to make my first instrument with a rectangular shape box
*Smaro, all you need is love*
The Beatles
Delicioso y sublime.
nice
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😌
As perhaps some of you might know, BoDiddley made himself a rectangular electric guitar - which became his trademark. Later the Gretsch Guitar Co. made them.
I knew his brother, Twiddley !
Who is the luthier? I love the idea and design. It gives me the impression that it is more comfortable and louder than ordinary guitar.
👍👍👍👍👍
Tabs?
No, just kidding. Such a beatiful interpretation. :)
what kind of guitar is that called?
KLingt sehr gut, erinnert an Bo Diddley.
Lovely rendition. Is the instrument baroque or just a product of contemporary imagination? It sounds baroque and has clarity. The rose on the fingerboard seems eccentric
@@albertcastanobeca3322 Claro....! Como podría tener buenos graves semejante caja.
its like halfway between nylon and string
It's a guitar?
God this djents so hard
no it is not
this might be the funniest comment I've ever seen on UA-cam
The top E string is slightly flat - but who cares - this is wonderful stuff !
Yeah the guitar could be tuned better and the intonation of the frets is suspect. Miss the resonance of perfect intervals on the 'cello. Great interpretation tho
I never saw a guitar I wanted less than this one--but he is a great player.

Impossible...what self-respecting woman would be seen in the company of a square guitar?
I think it's beautiful and inspiring. It sure sound very nice and mellow.
The elegant form of the guitar was inspired by the beautiful curves of the female body, so the legend goes. Right.
"Instrumento de dolor y de placer,
Tiene cuerpo y caderas como una mujer."
leo en los comentarios distintos puntos de vista y opiniones quien los lee? me parece que nadie

bach sounds so nice on guitar
maybe it was ment for to be played on guitar
Human imagination can transcend the orthodox !
Some of the weird guitars Ms Gregoriadou plays sound good. Not this one so much. I love her playing but I would like to hear it on a real guitar
This guitar has a lot more baroque feel to it than the standard modern guitar, probably what he was looking for..
I think it sounds amazing
I agree, why are the bridge wings sticking out? And are those metal nuts and bolts holding it on? And how exactly does the bridge resonate through that weird deck? Strangeness is alright if it serves the music.
teach me
It's not the quality so much as the type of sound, when mixed with other instruments... Certain aspects of the aesthetics could have been due to customer or designer idea. Or it could have been completely acoustic related to the latter.

is esmaro a girl ???
Excellent interpretation - in fact the first time the 1007 Prelude in particular has made sense to me in D Major. Most guitar arrangements butcher the second half of the Prelude so it sounds tacked-on to the first half. That said I'm not into gimmicks and the square cigar-box guitar is most definitely a gimmick. What is the point? Bo Diddly meets JS Bach? 😂 😂
A finger-plucked harpsichord, basically.
Brava, Brava ! Rectangular guitar....not so much. A Cordoba c12 would be nice.
Trying to invent hot water.
The lute would sound much better.
And what`s with the bridge. Screwed down and floating in the air, sides sticking out. Why?
I respect the artist.
I like the idea of the luthier. You have all the frets free of the body because the neck is installed on the other side of the box, istead of the front it is plased on the other side, this way the air box is the same but you have freedom and acces to the whole neck. Having a nec k screwed on instead of glued also makes neck re.-sets a peice of cake. In no way is this sopposed to be a Lute! We should not compare apples to oranges.
The floaing bridge gives me the impression that the tension has been releived from the top. In theory this would give us more volume and a longer life span. Ofcourse I would either have to try it out or hear an explanation from the Luthier.
I respect the Luthier. Great idea if it means that it is more comfortable to play, louder sound, and longer life without going thru neck re-sets or deformed guitar tops.
