Hi, my name is Katia. Let me pitch one idea to you. A teacher can encourage a little learner to imitate a conversation on the phone. Say, Santa Clause is calling. What questions will a child ask him? What will she/he tell about themselves? The calling person can be Harry Potter, a powerful magician, etc. Of course, you will need to talk to the kid for Santa Clause or another character. When I talked for Harry Potter to the boy he didn`t let me even say a word. He talked and talked because Harry Potter was his idol)
Great idea Angel! I love the idea of using role play in the classroom and I think it will work well online too. Please share more ideas whenever you want. 😃
@@etacude Hi, Eric! I have plenty of ideas but...they depend on the level of your students. For example, you can give your learner as a homework to read a story with a happy/sad end. And the task will be to change the end making it more creative or happier in case of an unhappy end initially. If you student is advanced, they will improvise.
OK, here's my tip: PATIENCE. I can't stress enough how important patience is. We have to be very patient with young ESL students. Excellent video btw :)
Very true Marko! We've got to be infinitely patient with our students. Just like class they need a stress free environment to achieve their best! Thank you for sharing. 🙏
