      In my universe, Batman movie came out in '98 and Batman & Superman came out two years later!
      There was also Robin in it, played by Johnny Depp!
      Sadly on the set of some action scene, Depp accidentally hit himself with his Robin staff in the jaw and lost some teeth 😜😜

      Me too. Grabbed my kids. Rented a DeLorean. Got chased by the cops. Hit 88mph. Actually ended up in 1985. Saw it in Flemington NJ at Cinema Plaza. Only paid $4.00 a ticket. Kids got pissed because their phones didn't work in '85 so we came back. A little scary but it was quite a trip.

    I remember when this blockbuster came out in theaters. It was in the top grossing film of 1993 beating Jurassic Park! Both Reeve and Keaton had stated they would never reprise their respective roles. However, the 15 million paychecks along with a percentage of the profits quickly changed their minds. Reeve was also concerned with his age but in the end, nobody cared about that. After the success of the film, they were asked to do another, but both declined choosing to go out on top.

    Now thats good stuff.
    I remember years back when a couple of people did those "World's Finest" trailers. Downloaded those and kept them on each computer I've had. Every once in a while when going through files, I'll find the file, see it, and just be in awe of how someone made the idea feel real for a brief moment. Thats kind of what you've done with trailer. Makes me feel like a kid again because this was the dream crossover for me back in 1994 after watching the movie Speechless. To see Keaton and Reeve share a couple of scenes together was amazing. The two actually had good onscreen chemistry. Ever since, I had hoped there would be a Superman & Batman crossover film.

    I'll be long gone by the time it happens, but someday, both Christopher Reeves Superman & Michael Keaton's Batman will hit the public domain. it'll be 2090 when that happens and AI videos will be indistinguishable from real world videos. I hope there are people around that will appreciate the team up film that someone or some AI will inevitably make. I'm sure they'll have Linda Carter's Wonder Woman in there as well. I hope it's a true master piece.

    Splendid edit! I haven’t seen an fan edit of a Worlds Finest fan trailer with Braniac for a long time since the pre Dawn Of Justice era. I’m pretty sure you’re the first fan editor to make a live action version of David Bowie as Braniac.
    Was there any choices you’e had in mind before using David Bowie? I was thinking about Robbie McDowall from the original Planet of the apes series.

      Bowie as Brainiac is all the result of the pure passion and skill Wilfredo Torres put in his illustration from the "Superman '78" comic, in which he did a fantastic job with everyone's acting and likeness, and had the perfect casting choice for the Collector. All I did was tempering a bit with the footage from "The Man Who Fell to Earth" to envision a (admittedly less detailed) live-action version.

      I'm glad you liked the video enough to share this!
      I'm 25, but my parents are around your age, and they got me (along with many other movies and cartoons in the superhero field) the VHS of the Burton and Donner movies when I was little-- which led me to become a massive comic book fan.
      When it comes to impossible fan dreams, a movie like this is number 1 on my list, so I get you!

    Great video! Too bad the Donnerverse and Burtonverse didn't merge. But, it is canon. Tom Mankiewicz co-produced _Superman '78_ and _Batman '89_ . Both were filmed at Pinewood Studios.

      I'll add another fun fact: some months ago they released a comic in which the Flash traveled around the Multiverse, and they showed one reality with both Reeve and Keaton, named "Earth 789", which is a brilliant name imo.

      I remember hearing WB wanted references to Superman when making Batman but Burton rejected it. And then later for the Superman Lives script by Kevin Smith, it had a Keaton Batman cameo during his funeral. But when Burton came on, he not only rejected that script but the Batman cameo was taken out. And then in a 1998 interview when promoting Jack Frost, Keaton revealed he's gonna be involved with the movie, but when asked if he was coming back as Bruce/Batman, he only replied "Not exactly."
      Tim Burton just didn't care.

    • @Parker_Luck394
      @Parker_Luck394  2 дні тому +1

      I haven't made one for "Batman Continues" specifically, but I've actually made two other fan trailers for Keaton's Batman!
      One is about an adaptation of a story that I think was right up to Burton's alley, about the golden age villain The Mad Monk (essentially Dracula), and the other is also about something that probably would have been very sweet and at the same time dark with Burton's direction, an adaptation of the BTAS episode "Heart of Ice", featuring the first apparence of the definitive take on Mr. Freeze.
      I've been thinking about making more of those in the future, cus they're super fun.

    • @OVWX
      @OVWX День тому

      @Parker_Luck394 Just watched the Heart of Ice trailer. Badass. Nicely done.
      Batman Continues would have been Burton's 3rd Batman movie. Heart of Ice SHOULD have been Burton's 4th.
      And it's my cure to a movie from 1997 with Arnold Schwarzenegger making ice puns 😵

    We could have actually gotten this movie in either 1991 or 1994. Christopher Reeve would have been still young enough to play Superman. Realistically however this film didn’t have a chance to be made. The failure of Superman IV killed and chance of Reeve returning to play Superman. He wanted no part of another Superman film after the embarrassing disaster that was Superman IV. It would have taken a lot of money to get him back, more than the studio would have been willing to offer.
    What is so sad is there was time after Batman ‘89. 5 years to make a Reeve/Keaton team up film before that faithful day in 1995 when any hope of Reeve returning to playing Superman was lost for good.

    • @Parker_Luck394
      @Parker_Luck394  3 дні тому +1

      It really is one of the greatest injustices in art that we lost the chance to see together and to see more of Reeve's performances, and what happened to him is an injustice on the basic human level.
      I saw the "Super/Man" documentary they've made about him recently, and it truly was moving and inspiring, but man if I wish things were different.

    Thank you for not using AI. I think the logos at the end could’ve had color. Was hard to see Reeve’s face in the shot of the two of them together. Nice work though.

    • @Parker_Luck394
      @Parker_Luck394  5 днів тому +1

      Oh, it wouldn't have been fun to make it if I had used AI, so it's my pleasure!
      About the shot of the two together: it was challenging. I needed to use something with matching lights and to be completely honest, I didn't want to spend an immense amount of time on it, so I chose something darker and atmospheric, suggesting the idea of the Batcave (even tho the actual shot was from the final fight in the cathedral), combining it with the shot of Reeve outside of the boat in the '78 movie, in which he was mostly in the shadows, but you may guess how these two would be somewhat hard to put together, hence why I focused the attention on the Superman emblem, to give a more mythic quality.
      About the logos being white: for the various graphics, my idea was to go for a minimalistic space thing, while referencing the two versions. I didn't want to just go for the Donner or the Burton ones. So I put the space in the background and the blue hue around them to recall the Donner ones, and I made them white like the ones in "Batman Returns", closing most of them with the swarm of white 2D bats. So, when it came to the 2 logos, I just tried to stay consistent with what I established before.
      Also: thank you, I'm glad you've enjoyed it!
