It is not doing great job. It had always been doing great job. I am from Nepal and 40 years old. Craze and respect for Pakistani drama in my country was the same 30 years ago. I remember how my parents loved Pakistani dramas back then too. I still remember the soulful music back then when my parents used to watch Pakistani dramas. They waited desperately for every new episode to be aired by my country's national television. Now that I have grown and watch Pakistani dramas on youtube, I have come to realize why they loved Pakistani dramas so much.

Seems like you don't know about Sabir Zaffar sb (lyricist of this song), he's one of the best poets of this era and he's a living legend. Read or listen some of his work, you'll know. He's a song writing genius. Usually poetry is composed and sung, but he gives poetry to composition.

Hum kahan ke sachay thay has one of the most unique storylines with it's fabulous soundtrack. Pakistani drama industry needs this type of out of the box dramas more and more which will eventually create more mature and strong audience.
