Afsharid/Qajarid Farsi(Persian) , we know it as most polite and respectful way of talking (even though not many people talk like this today , but everyone can understand what he saying unlike Cyrus version😄)

Nader Shah is an interesting pick for Persia. Described as the Napoleon of Persia, the Sword of Persia, or the Second Alexander. Nader Shah is the best commander that Persia had ever produced. Not even Shapur I could outdo him. He is one of those forgotten commanders in history like Maurice de Saxe and Raimondo Montecuccoli. Nader Shah has been described as "the last great Asiatic military conqueror".
A man of ruthless ambition and immense energy, he was certainly one of the great captains of military history. A master strategist, he was immensely successful in raising armies. He was also both cynical and cruel, and his reign was marked by violence and bloodshed. Nonetheless, he had taken Persia from near collapse to dominant power in the region.

Muhammad Ali pasha was my favourite Middle-Eastern Leader in the Modern Age, Sucks that he had bad successors and the Egyptian population was incompetent so his ambitions were short lived.

Actually, Zoroastrian Persia and Muslim Iran have de-facto existed until this addition. If you notice, all the Persian mods that have been there in this game are the pre-Islamic ones - from Cyrus to Khosrow, while there has been one mod called Lime's Iran which has Ismoil, the founder of the Safavid empire, and Nader Shah

It is great to see later Persian rulers featured by Firaxis, as they have not previously been seen, but surely leaders like the Safavids or the Samanids, who created Persian golden ages would be better than Nader, who left ruin and destruction in his wake, most prominently in other contemporary Persianized civilizations, like the Ottomans and Mughals.
That's cool, but where are the achievements for those leaders?

Afshar Turks created one of the most powerful Persian Empires in history after the Safavids in the 18th century. It's interesting to see more non-persian Iranian dynasties in video games.
I wish we could get even a little bit of The Saffarids, The Samanids or The Buyids... they are medieval era Shahdoms that don't get enough love considering how important they were.

I like to be positive with these updates, but isn’t his beard a little static? His mouth animates a little weirdly around it. As if the size of the beard contracts, but it doesn’t correspond to the movement of his jaw. Is it just me? In comparison, Suleiman has a very lively movement in his jaw animation. Lincoln an Tokugawa also have more natural movement. Perhaps an oversight?
as an Afshar Turk I am happy to see my national hero in Civ 6. But I was expecting him to speak Turkish not Persian since his dynasty is Afsharid Turkish.
No, they were an Iranian dynasty, based in Ma'ashed. They may have had origins in Turkistan, but eventually became Iran-ized
As a iranian he was the shah iran, expanded Iran's borders and was a nationalist. Him speaking persian makes sense since he grew up in you know iran. All turkic empires based around iran spoke persian even the mughuls.
I am an Afsharid, we are one of the strongest tribes of Oghuz Turks. As cited in many, he speaks Turkish. A proportion of my people live in Iran but I do think we Iranized.
