- How to travel Panama by bus? In this Panama travel vlog, I travel by bus from Panama City to Santa Catalina. In the 3rd episode of my Panama Travel Series I leave the beautiful Le Méridien Panama Hotel, travel by public bus all the way to tiny surf-village, Santa Catalina, and check in to my jungle hut at Bodhi Santa Catalina. Share my experience of how to travel by bus in Panama.

HI Kaja, about the buses with no toilet when you leave the city....if you need a toilet in the middle of the trip, you just tell the driver or the guy helping him, and they will stop in the next gas station or restaurant. Don't wait until it's too late...😆
I'm Panamanian , but actually I'm living in LA during 7 months , I realize that I miss panama and definitely I wanna go to Santa Catalina when I gonna come back.
You should! Santa Catalina is awesome!
@@KajaKubicka Sure, but by car Hahaha. Btw Thank you for visit panama 🇵🇦!I just followed you on Instagram.
Girl this video made me really miss Panama. I never been to Santa Catalina. But I’ll definitely be going there. My mom and I are hopefully going to back to Panama in February.
I hope you will get to visit again! It’s such a nice place! :)
Did/are you going? It’s my last day here after 2 and a 1/2 week
hahahaha, I am a Chinese living in Panama for almost 8 years now. I just went to Santa Catalina in Feb this year. And I am surprised to find that we actually lived in the exact same Wooden hut there. 🤣
I just finished the last part. Perfect timing. :D
haha amazing!
Cool video! You can be so proud of yourself!😊🌞
Thank you!
Gosh I'd definitely take the tourist vans myself rather than the public buses. Trip looked rough lol. Probably worth the extra money just for convenience and comfort... Your trip definitely looks interesting. Thanks for posting.
OMG......the music all the way !! A good pair of earplugs is a must. I think that besides surfing, there's not much to do in Santa Catalina; I hope I'm wrong. Playa Venao in Pedasí might be a nice choice. Thanks for sharing.
🇵🇦🌏..Great vid 💯
Thank you!
Because the end of the year is here, it's a good chance to maybe do some kind of video with some countdown lists in it. Like maybe you could do Top 5 (or top 10 or top 3) places you ate this year while traveling, Other list topics might include top best scenery, top cities you recommend for solo travelers, Could also have worst like worst cleanliness or worst feeling of safety...however I realize sometimes its pretty hard to do worst lists because someone somewhere is always gonna be offended.
Kaja I am living vicariously through you! Keep traveling! #itgirl #ecotravel #wanderer
I admire your adventurous nature, never been to Santa Catalina. Are you planning going to Boquete too? I wish I was there with you.
do you think a surfboard bag would fit inside the bus?
Hi Kaja - love your vlog!! I will go to panama all by myself as well in 20 days, super excited! Thanks for all the nice impressions! Where did you bought the panama sim-card and how expensive was it? Did you meet some cool/
lovely people at santa catalina?
Just saw about your purchase of the sim in your other vid ☺️☺️
Hi there. As an American living in Panama for several years now, let me give you a couple of useful tips, if I may:
1. ALWAYS use either Uber or any other platform of that sort to move around (experiences with yellow cab drivers have been rather unpleasant)
2. The most gorgeous, pristine-looking beaches are in the Caribbean( San Blas, Colon, ect.)
3. The old town is a great spot to take a trip to the past (Museums, Cathedrals, as well as the overall architecture) It's worth noting that after the original old town (Panama Viejo) was ransacked and litetally burned to the ground in the 1600's by infamous pirate Henry Morgan. After the incident, the governor decided to relocate the city to its present location.
If you got any other questions, doubts or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Other than that, welcome to Panama. Hope you enjoy your trip down here!!!!
it was about 15 usd and yess I met a lot of nice people! :)
So the sim card is actually cheaper to buy out of the airport. $5 gets you 10 days of unlimited data as opposed to the $15 inside airport :)

Going to Panama soon. Where exactly and how
much is a Sim card? Thanks!
I got my at a pharmacy nearby my hotel and I think it was around 15 usd
How much was the total to get there?
$15
Comparing travel hassles, costs, cuisine and natural scenery, I would say that Indonesia is far way better !
I love Indonesia, but I don't think it's something you should compare, because both of these places are completely different and unique in its own way :)
Im from Panama and have been Indonesia... You are wrong.. Too much differences between the 2 countries..
Masks were required on any Transport in Panama, plane, bus, taxi, subway.. as you can see all of them are wearing it. How you managed to dont use it any on any transport? Not fined? A bit rude for others as the other are wearing it and it is by law. There are signs across the bus stations no need to know spanish. Next time please should be great if you check requieremt about these kind of safety measures in the country you are travelling in.
A la mayoria de los buseros no les importa y no vas a ir preso ni nada por no usarla. Subase al bus, taxi, metro y al aeropuerto para que vea que ya a nadie le importa y aunque alguien se moleste no le va a pasar nada.
@by Kaja 凯娅 Hello! Great you made it to Santa Catalina. Probably the outside temperature also affected the A/C in the bus. What you saw that was sold everywhere is lottery tickets, it plays on Wednesday and Sunday.
What I meant was that the AC was perfect! Not as cold as it is in so many places
@@KajaKubicka ok! great. Yes. I heard some buses going to David, Chiriqui have the A/C very cold.
