I tried the harbor freight black and yellow ones, total disappointment for me. The removable yellow boxes all warped and won't seal correctly to the underside of the lid. All the small stuff migrates all over the box.
@@1windozesuk That’s what I was thinking. I’m not a big dewalt power tool fan (killed some tools very quickly years ago and decided never again because my heavily used makita and porter cable stuff was still going) but for consumables like bits etc I’ll buy it. The dewalt storage totes are worth buying. Waterproof, rugged, all removable, rearrangeable bins that fit molded-in nubs to stay in place, clear lids so you can see stuff without opening, nice carry handles, metal draw latches (not plastic), they lock together, and they go ‘on sale’ a couple times a year for about $20. I had eight of them until someone ’liberated’ the pocket screw box and the electrical box. Those dewalt boxes aren’t really inexpensive, but on the grand scale of things they are less than other options that aren’t as nice. The gasketed, clear lid is a big draw for me, as is the removable bins. Maybe the taytools check the boxes for ’ruggedness’ - maybe they’re nice. The milky (probably softer) lids give me pause, though. I can loose a wrench or a screwdriver in plain sight, so being able to give a quick visual is important for my efficiency on a job. (So how’s your ADD? Mine is great!)
This company pretty much went to the Hyper Tough distributor and changed the design just a bit from the looks of it. Hyper Tough Plastic Heavy-Duty Interlocking Organizer with Slide Lock 2-Pack
Those dividers are a total nightmare. I bought a bunch of the Dewalt ones at home depot a couple years back on sale for $10 each, much higher quality than these
Hart has a complete pack out system at Walmart that is a good price all stacks together. I have the rolling box, I’ve had it for 2 years now, still does good
@@sociopathmercenary I’ll agree to that. I think it was ~2015-ish that I discovered these. I had bought two. After using them a week or so I went and bought another six. They’re all still doing great longevity-wise (other than the two that got stolen☹️)
14 3/4 x 11.5 2" deep is the large size...... are we even comparing apples to apples here or am i lost on another planet? Not pluging Milwaukee specifically here bit just a quick google search and their smallest is 20 x 15 x 5 so for the price of one Milwaukee you're saying that we could have the option to buy 4 smaller cases that have the same volume of storage. That doesnt stack together so you can fumble with 4 packs instead of 1. Im sorry but im really not understanding any of this. Can someone please explain what I'm failing to grasp here! Cuz I must have gotten lost somewhere between carrying my Milwaukee case in and returning to the truck to get 4 more cases with my 2 hands.
"Equal quality"? Hells no, not even remotely close. But, they are much better than the other portable systems you mentioned for shop small parts storage, I completely agree. But let's keep it real about quality compared to the others. Good video otherwise and good product nonetheless.
It depends on what you're looking for. I looked at Packout for small hardware storage, they're hardly worth it for that unless your assortment is very limited. Equivalent amount of small compartment storage to these in Packout per container is easily 3x as much. Holding bigger things is a different story.
It's absolutely RIDICULOUS for you to compare these flimsy things to packout and the like. Dude. Be ashamed. Cheap boxes like this are already sold in HF, Lowes, HomeDepot less expensive. Wow.
For the same price you can get a full size packout organizer that holds just as much if not more than all 4 of these combined and not have to deal with these tiny garbage “modular” bins. Shame on you for promoting garbage products to your viewers.
A. it's not garbage. I actually like them. 2. Not everyone wants, likes, or wants to pay the price for PACKOUT. D. Sorry I triggered you showing something other than PACKOUT
@@731Woodworksthey absolutely are garbage and everyone in this comment section agrees. These are the same quality as those $3 tackle boxes. For the same $49 a packout box is water resistant, more “modular” than your junk boxes and will last exponentially longer. It doesnt even have to be packout rigid has a similar box for even less $. Please refrain from using your platform to scam hardworking people out of their money thanks.
@@731Woodworks The packout and other boxes you showed in this clip are built for completely different uses than these. The ones you showed are NOT parts boxes like the ones you're hawking here. Do an apples to apples against the comparable boxes at HF, Lowes, or HD.
@@731Woodworks And before you accuse me of being "triggered," ... I don't own anything made by Milwaukee. I do own plenty of smart parts boxes like this from multiple brands.
Harbor Freight - 1/3 the cost and have actual removable boxes inside to take to another location. Better solution for sure - Harbor Freight.
Which Harbor Freight model has the removable bins instead of dividers?
Storehouse

Hyper Tough Plastic Heavy-Duty Interlocking Organizer with Slide Lock 2-Pack
Ordered 20 of these, They are great!
If these things are going to change the game, I don't think the game was on very solid foundations to begin with.
Don’t use dividers for small parts storage unless you enjoy sorting parts when they work themselves loose.
Those dividers are a total nightmare. I bought a bunch of the Dewalt ones at home depot a couple years back on sale for $10 each, much higher quality than these
Hahaha - I just posted about those.
Very useful for the money, and after quite a few years none have broken, either. The bins are perfect, too.

I picked up the DeWalt parts storage units for $12 each during Black Friday.
Bought 7 of them as well. I’m not even in the DeWalt pack out system but the deal was too good to pass up

They don't take batteries and they are better quality than what you get at harbor freight for the same price.

Sounds like a nice Matt video on building a cabinet for these
With a little 3D printing magic you can make them stack together. Maybe I’ll put something up on a blog on how to do this.
Stanley and craftsman had them out first I was buying them like that at Ace Hardware Stores here in Pennsylvania for the last year
also i think the stanley ones are cheaper, i can usually get them at my local menards, and the small ones due lock together as well
These videos used to be good but now there all ads.

Exactly what I thought when I seen those boxes.
Yay, Tay!
Husky has some nearly identical to that AND… they can lock together.
And they are bigger and much higher quality!
Let's be clear here, he's saying the SMALL ones don't lock together. The medium and large ones do.
If you want something more like a pack out but cheaper, Tekton’s new system is the way to go. Michigan company
Absolutely!

Plano makes a higher end tackle box that outcompetes these in my opinion. The price point is about even

Walmart makes some that is decent. They come in a 2 pack for 14 dollars in my area.
Those look just like the ones i buy at walmart mase by hyper tough. I use them to organize and store my beyblades
Craftsman pro organizer is only $30.
Those look EXACTLY like Walmart carried! They were a pack of 2 for $10!
This doesn’t seem much cheaper in the long run than packout

Plastic clips... nope.

Harbor freight has had these for many years.
I caught HF’s version on sale for like $5 each. HF’s interior design is also light years ahead of this with small and large removable trays.
Those are the same as my Walmart ones I think.
hf makes much cheaper storage very similar to these🙄
And the HF ones have removable plastic bins. Way better.

$75 for 4 on Amazon
Look like the hyper tough from Walmart
How do find a link for them????
Dont get these they are garbage
Aren’t these just hardware bins? I don’t see how anyone can fit power tools in these. I’ve been buying these for years.
Where are they made?
China
Needs removable bins. These stink.

50 buck for that. Just buy the rigid brand rollout.
