Re-Stabilize Your Back and Technique After Orchestra in 2 EASY steps

Many orchestral musicians (especially violinists and violists) deal with chronic back and neck pain, especially if playing for many hours sitting down. Sitting in improperly fitted chairs (which happens in most work scenarios) contribute to declining spine health. At the same time, we sometimes have to hold our instruments in a less-than-ideal way in orchestras to be able to see the music and conductor reliably, while making sure our stand partner and other surrounding musicians have enough room to play. Some technique (such as bow angle, instrument position, and intonation) is also affected in orchestra sessions. It's our responsibility to take care of our bodies before and after sessions, as well as maintain our base technique.
