- It's a dream come true to work with Brian & Chris from Algorithm to bring Ben Gravy Surfboards to life! I'm obviously joking about how I quit riding soft tops for good. Superbrand was my favorite hard boards I've ever ridden & it's exciting to continue to work with Brian in a much more open and creative space. Congratulations Mr Gravy, You have brought so many smiles to my face. Been handicapped from cancer and unable to surf after Decades of surfing (yes I am an old fart) my bucket list includes one last session, May only be able to knee or belly a wave. When the time comes I will purchase the Menace, long enough, then leave behind for my grandson to remember me by. Your attitude has brought much joy. Surfing brings joy and smiles and FUN, you always have fun! Stay good!!!

Have been a subscriber for about 2 years.....am an old South Florida native ..will be 69 in August....unfortunately i have. arthritis in both knees and also peripheral neuropathy.....so looks like my surfing days are behind me 😢😢 peace and love to you and all of your followers...
Wow! What a great story. I'm thrilled for you. For the record, the soft tops represented more than a form of surfing, but a return to fun. There was something magical about, the carefreeness of it all. The willingness to surf "anything, no matter how small," just being in the water was good enough. Please don't lose that! For the dream!

Nothing greater than the feeling of a magic stick under your feet....for me years ago it was the CI Weirdo Ripper, i did the best surfing of my life on that board. Happy for you brother on the signature series of boards! For the Dream!

Darn I just bought a lightly used Slater 6'6" cuz I'm getting old and fat and needed the 44 liters to float me. I would have jumped on the Semi Pro or Barrel Kuta if I hadn't just bought that board. I haven't even rode it yet (summer=longboard waves). I'll definitely keep and eye on bengravysurfboards for my next new board. Kinda funny that you and a couple other guys were the ones to make soft tops cool. They used to be just for beginners or rentals but now even my hardcore neighbors have a couple. I see your pineapple logo all over the Outer Banks. I'm hoping to run into you in the lineup some time. I see Bret Barley in the water a lot. I got an Oneil catalog in the mail and there he is being a model. It's gotta be nice getting to surf as a job. I have the next best thing, it's a fun job and I'm my own boss so if the waves are good, I can put a "Gone Surfing" sign in the window and go. Keep up the Stoke.
