I love your calming way of explaining things about birth. I hate it when doctors use “scare tactics” to try to make moms feel like they simply cannot do anything right, much less, give birth “right”! I had a doctor like that with my first baby. I went to the county health department because I didn’t have insurance or money for a private practice doctor......and nobody would take my case. To be fair to him, I did inform him that I was planning a home birth, so maybe he was afraid for me since it was my first baby and I’m pretty sure since he couldn’t refuse me prenatal care, he might have been concerned about legalities.....for HIM, not me! He slammed on the scare tactics pretty thick. He told me my pelvic measurements were rather small and I would be in labor forever and couldn’t get the baby out after pushing for hours and hours and hours just trying to get out a 6lb baby! I said “Doctor Death (not his real name), I appreciate your insight and I realize you have years of experience but, I kinda think I’ll see how it goes and if I change my mind, I’ll let you know.” I’m no expert by any means but, I must have bought, borrowed and read everything I could find on labor and delivery, especially home birth. I found a home birth support group and the midwife said she hears pregnant women who are terrified from the horror stories their doctors tell them. I wasn’t terrified to have my baby at home. I was terrified to have my baby in the hospital. I didn’t like what I heard and read. I trusted my midwife but, I also trusted my body to know what to do. I took childbirth classes to help my body do it’s birthing thing. I started labor at 4:00pm, called my midwife. Then I called her back and told her my labor stopped. She said she’ll come anyway. She got to my house at 5:45pm and my labor started back up at 6:00pm. I had my screaming, bouncing, baby boy at 11:10pm that same night.....all 8lbs 12oz of him! I go to my mommy/baby 6 weeks checkup. Same doctor asked me how my labor went and of course, he didn’t believe me....labor time or baby weight. I said “I have my labor notes right here....would you like to read them?” I doubt he would’ve believed them either. So, on to the baby scale. My son weighed 10lbs.... I had really good milk. He put baby on the scale, didn’t think 10lbs was correct, mumbled something about the scale needing to be recalibrated so, he put the baby on another one....same exact weight. I looked him right in the face and said “See? Doctors CAN be wrong once in a while, huh?” My next baby 2 years later weighed exactly 10lbs after a 2 hour labor.....beginning to end! My same midwife didn’t get there in time for the birth so, we just did what we did for the first baby.....only a lot faster. I only pushed one time and this “sumo-wrestler” popped out! I have 3 children....smallest was 8lbs 7oz and total labor time was 11 hours combined! Apparently, my body was a baby-birthin’ machine!

I gave birth vaginally to 2 breech babies at home with an experienced midwife. The 1st one was a surprise breech, the second, confirmed with u/s. Both were born safely with no problems. I was in active labor 2 hours with one and 5 hours with the other. It did take 5 mins to push out the head of the surprise breech, but I was in shock when we discovered her butt crowning instead of the head and was a bit panicked so that might have contributed to it. I believe breech is just a variation of normal

Hi Kyra my baby is transverse laying low in my pelvis
I know he moves I’ve been trying positions to give him room to flip
Even using the ice pack on the side his head is on to hopefully get him to turn the right way when he’s long ways how do I ensure he flips the right way? I’m 30 weeks 💙
I need to take matters in to my own hands because I’m worried after talking to my doctor that he is pro c section
My baby is also 78 percentile
They are saying he weighs almost 3.5 pounds
And my doctor said well he may be to big for you to birth anyway which I think is crazy to mention already so I really want him to turn! If not my doctor said he would try to flip him but all of the complications that could happen worry me !

Of all 3 births my youngest was breech. She was my fastest and most painful vaginal birth. I had 5 minutes to push or they were going to give me a c-section. She came out after 2 pushes which was a blessing. I was in tact, no bleeding, apparently I’m a birthing machine 🤣🤣. I knew she was breech because I felt her flip and was extremely uncomfortable for nearly 9 weeks. My doctor seemed not to care, wouldn’t even give me an ultrasound. I didn’t get confirmation that my baby was breech until I was at the hospital in active labor. A midwife on call figured it out and saved our lives as far as I’m concerned. This was 14 yrs ago and I remembered her face because she was awesome at her job and seemed to really care about our health. Never got her name though. I scoured the health systems new website looking for her and found her! She is now my midwife for my current pregnancy. 30 weeks down. 10 weeks to go. I’m so excited to meet baby girl #4. 💖✨🪬
