Awesome stuff! Going down the ABC rabbit hole recently myself, if/when you guys decide to replace the tandem pump, i would strongly recommend replacing the Accumulators as well. 2 reasons, it will eliminate the "Bouncy/Bumpy" ride and give you the full ABC experience, especially if one or more are blown out. These second, is that if you do in-fact have a blown accumulator, you WILL blow an ABC line, and continue to blow them until the accumulators are replaced. I know were going for the budget build so whatever makes sense, however i'm a big component of the factory ABC, and when working properly, its unbelievable. Adjustability at the touch of a button, and instant/constant hands off dampening while cruseing. Nothing like it!
I couldn’t agree more about the ABC, our S55 has functional suspension and it is magic ! I appreciate the beta on the accumulators .. we’ll have to figure out how to test those - nothing came up on the scanner for the accumulators

It never misses
Often, the malfunctions in the W220 can be repaired with minimal effort. Even a simple gearbox flush (not just a oil change) makes the gearbox shift like new again. However, you do need a gearbox flushing device for this.
As I'm only up to that part of the video, when you free rev a W220 it will limit the revs to about 3500 in the s600 and around 4000 in the s430.
The v8 at least makes good limiter bashing noises with a rear mufflers deleted and free revving in neutral.
As you’ve probably seen, we did figured out that rev limit 🙏🏼 and it changed our world

I’d be careful if that is a radar jammer not a detector it’s a huge ticket because it can interfere with planes and their communications equipment it’s under the communications act if you want to give it a google, FCC can be uptight about that kind of stuff but detectors are fully legal and I have heard of people using jammers them and being fine so I really don’t know.

Why not assess the entire ABC system? Most of the parts have affordable aftermarket replacements or rebuild kits. A $100 accumulator sphere or a $30 block rebuild kit could return the glorious ride of the car. Don't be a lazy hack like so many of these UA-cam channels. You have the wrenching ability to EASILY restore this car without going to the poor house. I'll be watching!! PS I TOTALLY remember the Manitou! Tony Curtis was the star and the lil growing lump was an Indian Shaman. Absolutely TERRIFYING in 1978!! LOLOLOL
We’re with you ! I Value the ABS suspension as one of the amazing feature of the car and do desire to make it operable… at the same time we’re going to take the most sensible and affordable approach 🙏🏼 thanks for checking it out !
NOO THATS NORMAL revving til 3k rpm is just rev limiter it will literally rev higher if you have a check engine on and have something up with the coil packs, and if you go into neutral going more than 10 mph, I got one on my channel too, hehe

This would be the best project car! I have learned so much DIY'n my "02 S500(200k miles as of yesterday)... the great debate, weather to do coils over from the old system... cars with ABC compute and adjust in ride(acting as a sway/anti roll bar and linkage system assembly) Another point to that is that hydrologics are dynamic and can withstand far greater amounts of stress than my AirMatic. But seriously, you need to be charged with grand larceny for the foolery of doing donuts with the car in that state. You just molested this S600. This is all the car fax we need... there's stuff in the wheel that gets damaged when the suspension collapses like that. I say, part out the S55 to complete the v12.
We’ve considered stealing from the s55 but that is a mostly functioning car beyond the WOT misfire .. and abc parts are cheap enough, we may fix it.. hopefully the Benz police 👮 don’t come for us
