Loved your moment of Zen. Have 2 little squirrels who visit my bird table every morning. I don't turn anybody away from the table. Birds and squirrels eat together on it. Am an introvert so it's the country for me. Right now, I live in a small development in the country. Too many neighbors. My idea of heaven is a farm with a stream running through and so quiet you can hear the animals grazing on the grass.
Country or City depends on my mood. Live in the suburbs but with a large lot, love the excitement of cities (London is my favorite) but there are times when the peace of the country is what I need. Love that squirrel lounging on a branch - never saw one do that!
Country! I did exactly like you in re to my sewing room. Had everything cleared to cut some larger pieces of fabric then same day got a call for me to make some prayer quilts for a friend. So cutting table full of that project now. Cindi did go on a trip. Brianna unable to go as baby too young for shots needed. And she was still pretty young. If you get a chance to watch they have a video of the trip. They were allowed to go and watch the process of making the batiks. I have a whole new appreciation of the fabric and am working on one now. Cindi also made the tool ( can’t remember actual name) and they developed some fabric. It is called sagebrush. They just in August received a 2nd shipping of fabric and will be getting more. Have a great day!
I Love batiks and truly love the fabrics. I am a retired single I think I would prefer living in the city because of the transportation, convenience of shopping and things to do (museums, theatre, parks etc. I lived in Manhattan for a bit ( a block from Central Park and American Museum of Natural History). I can't afford it now but I love the amenities of the city.
City girl here! Lived in NYC for 15 years and loved it. We only moved to the burbs because we wanted our child to have a little more space to run around - you definitely have to value your pizza over your space in a big city haha
Oh, sweet friend, I hope everything goes well at the dentist. You rest and recover as long as you need. I am a country person, I live on the outskirts of a small town. The nearest actual city is a 1.5 hour drive away.
Hi Holly! I'm a country girl! I live in the suburbs now. But my hearts desire is to live on about 5 acres in n a big hole farm house. I've lived in the country a lot. Never lived in a big city. Don't want to. I love batiks! What's not to love? They're soft, they don't fray and if you get the wrong side up it's okay cause both sides are good! Those batiks would look so awesome in a Cleopatra's fan quilt! Have an awesome day.
The one thing about batiks once they get washed they are just normal cotton fabric. Hi I'm from Kansas but now live in Panama City Beach Florida! I am a quilter, long armer girl!!
I live in the city of Cleveland, Ohio a few streets away from the shores of Lake Erie. My go to place for relaxation is Whidbey Island, WA. I’ve been fortunate enough to have taught at the Pacific Northwest Art School in Coupeville many times and it always feels like home. I made several good friends there. Meanwhile, Cleveland is not so bad. I wish you continued wellness. Christine Mauersberger
Country life and suburbs are my choice, as long as there is a quilt shop nearby. Right now I live a half mile from a combination chiropractor’s clinic and quilt shop. Life is good 👍🙂
Thanks for sharing Holly! I am NOT a fan of art deco, but those batiks in those colours, they feel more modern and I love them! And yes the question on my mind as you revealed each piece was, what is she making from these, I cannot wait to see 😍. …and I live in a small city (a little over 100K people) with a view of the ocean, so it is a good mix of peaceful, and hustle and bustle for me 😊
In West Texas, the coolest part of the day is at about 6:00 a.m., when the temp is around 80-something. Yesterday it got up to 109 here. (But it's a DRY heat.) Yikes!
Absolutely country for me. We have 165 acres in Maine with no neighbors visible, near the end of a mile-long gravel road. It's absolutely lovely with fields and ponds and trees and walking paths.
Hope you fall in love with your lovely shirt. You look so pretty in it. Those fabrics are gorgeous. Country for me. I get anxious in very large, noisy places. Love your channel and your sweet smile. God bless. 😊
When I was young the city was where I wanted to live with multiple museums and theaters. Now however I love where I have allways lived , in a small village.
I am in central Maine for the summer and I am lucky enough to spend the winter in Arkansas. Here in Maine we have Mardens I have found fabric there for $1.00 or $2.00 a yard and most of there fabric is under $7.00a yard. This Facebook group will come in handy when I am in Arkansas.
I live in the country (although my town is getting bigger and bigger). I am lucky to be only an hour and a half drive to the city so I have the best of both! Y sewing room is messy no matter how often I tidy it! Too much stuff and not enough room! I like to think messy is a sign of creativity 😊💜
Thanks for sharing the Facebook page! Those batiks are beautiful! I would pick the country. I, too, prefer the quiet and the peacefulness of being with nature and the animals. Hope your tooth issue isn't too bad. ❤
Country, but I like my amenities. We actually live 5 minutes from my husband's work. So we are in the best of both worlds. I live in a subdivision where everyone is on an acre with big old houses and 40 year old trees and pools. I have a huge garden and 5 grape varieties for jam and juice. But we can walk to the doctor and dentist and orthodontist and dermatologist and grocery stores. My girls were able to walk to elementary, middle, and high school. It is a great area. But I miss our farm and solitude. We both grew up on farms. My husband and I are turning 65 on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. So rather than retiring to the country we will stay in this area to be able to access doctors and close by amenities. But we still wake up to Roosters and chickens and distant traffic noise
I hope your dental procedure goes well. You sure got a huge selection of batiks on this bargain haul. A fun project is sure to follow. I think I am more of a city person. We live in a suburb of Cleveland. I like being close enough to easily do museum and theatre excursions. We are trying to decide where we will retire and trying to balance quiet and access to groceries, doctors and pizza delivery. 😂
A friend from the Colordo mountains visited once; we wanted to take him out to a nice dinner. He asked for pizza delivery instead because where he lived he couldn't get it delivered. 🍕😄
Loving this moment of Zen! How funny 😄. We live on 8 forested acres in CA gold country. I will be praying for you for an easy dental procedure and good quick healing. Be well, friend. God has you. And we love you. ❤
I love a good bargain, thanks for sharing the facebook page. Those batiks are beautiful! I live in the country in NY, but love visiting the City. So fun. Speedy recovery to you after your tooth being pulled.
I'm a country girl living in the city to be close to my kids and grandchildren. My favorite place is the mountains with lots of trees and a lake! I think your squirrel in the zen moment was stuffed. Lol. He didn't move a muscle! So cute. Good luck with the tooth pulling next week.
It’s a lovely batik bundle. They are very unique. I would love to live in the country but I live in the city. I love the convenience of its facilities. I think Tom is feeling more at ease being in front of the camera.
Hi Holly, and Wishes. I live in the ‘burbs of Los Angeles, so I’m used to crowds and traffic. That’s not to say I like it. Both of my daughters live in the country and I’d love to live near either of them. Or the beach. Unlikely I’ll get there with beach prices. Lol Thanks for sharing the bargain source, but I’d better steer clear for a while (yeah, right). 😂
City for sure. I love being ‘alone in a crowd’ if you get that. Love looking outside and seeing people walking up and down the street most times of the day and night. Love being able to walk to shops or just hop on a streetcar for a short distance. The idea of living in a remote area where I’d require a car to live gives me the heebie jeebies. Funny how we feel so strongly about what type of community we prefer. I also live a block away from Lake Ontario and near a giant park so there are lovely spots to walk.
Hello Holly. You are looking lovely as always!! I belong to the deal group, and I love seeing what she finds. I am a country girl at heart, but I live in the city, always looking for a country home. I love batiks, and yes those last 2 reminded me of shallots as well, and I'm going to have to check out the deals today. The pattern you showed is wonderful. Thank you for sharing. Until next time....
Good morning Holly!! ☕️🥰 I grew up in the country, on my grandparent’s farm, with cousins and horses, etc……fun! Now, I live in the city near the lakes at LSU, so I love not being far from the water and will walk or ride my bike there. Thank you for the facebook group tip! Those batiks are so beautiful and you saying they are softer than most has me intrigued !! They are so interesting and love the purples!! I see shallots 🤔, yep! That is a very chill, relaxed squirrel!!! Take care, prayers for the dental experience. 🙏♥️
City to many people too noisy, never lived in country so I’m in the Burbs!! Very pretty batiks, you will be fine after you tooth pull, with all of us sending prayers and healing to you. You will be a chatterbox right away! 🥰🤗❤️
Good morning and happy Thursday! I wasn't expecting a new video today, so this was a pleasant surprise with which to start the day. Mmmm, batiks! I love the one you said looks like flying birds (my first thought was chicken feet, but like in a good way), and the one right after went so beautifully with your blouse. The chevron (which should *not* take four tries to spell correctly, sheesh!) in the green/purple colorway is divine, and that sort of circle/arc pattern in the purple? Yeah, wouldn't kick that one out of bed for eating crackers, LOL! City or country - that's a surprisingly tough question! I like the *idea* of living in the country - cleaner air, more wildlife, lower population, etc etc - but I also love the convenience & entertainment of the city. Right now I think I've got the best of both worlds: living in a city/suburbs with all that entails, and close enough to a national forest that I could be there in 2 hours if/when the desire arises.
OMG Holly! The moment of zen had me laughing so hard! That would make a great postcard or maybe a Christmas card and you could put Santa hat stickers on his head.
I live in a small city in northeast Mississippi. I am about 8 miles from the Alabama state line and 15 miles from the Tennessee state line. We had 1 red light for many years and recently got 2 more.
I am a country girl who could live in certain cities. The. Material was good. But not. All my cup of tea.. hope you have a good day see you next video. Oh and thank you for the tip to get good deals. That's how I can afford to sew is sales.
I would love to live in the country. I currently living in a small city and have to say I hate it. I spend my days sewing and to myself. We moved here from Florida, which I loved but he hated, so here we are. Love the material! Have a wonderful day, sending hugs and prayers.
Country Girl. I spend 4 months in Northern MN in our cabin on a small lake. We feed all the critters. Chipmunks climb up on our laps for peanuts. The pine squirrels just crack me up, they are the chihuahua's of the squirrel family. But I do find sewing and quilting tough to do because of the small space. But for sure it is my Happy Place.
Country girl here. I grew up in the city in government apartments till 13 yrs old. My parents bought a house when I was 14. Because of that I would rather live where it’s quiet and where I can listen to the animals in the woods. Xoxo
Loved the batiks. I love the country. Grew up in the city even though it was small but a Goodyear plant and steam plant across the highway ruined all of or health. Everyone I grew up with and went to school with have something wrong with them or dead. They have been closed for years but too late for us. We moved as soon as possible with our babies when I saw a repeating health issue with them. Love living on a lake in a rural area. Also so peaceful and safe. Love me some country.
I am a country girl who has lived or worked in Austin, Chicago, Seattle, LA, and now Vegas. We can’t wait for our next move to North Dakota to finally be back in the country. Oh to smell the grass after mowing or to see stars at night- to be awakened by the birds starting their day or lulled to sleep by owls or whip-poor-wills. We can’t wait to be back in the country. Those fabrics were so pretty. Thank you for sharing. !! Blessings everyone
Country girl…grew up in the mountains of NC and my heart is still there…but live in suburbs of Balt/washington now. Thanks for the LINKZ. Quilting/ sewing is the million dollar hobby so finding a deal is the bomb!
❤❤❤i live in the burbs. Use to be an awesome place. Now it's over crowded and traffic. Omg. I love the country Woods and hills and quiet. Stars. My husband is city all the way . He loves the burbs. Convince.
I was born and still live in Elmira NY, small town about 30 miles south of the Finger Lakes, 15 minutes east of Corning, Corning Glass. We are in a beautiful mountain area.
i have always lived in the country. now i live on a lake so tranquil. oh would love to see Tom. love that pattern for grunge! yes holly take us to Bali to see Batik making or Cherrywood would be the next best thing lol😂 never heard of this bargain place have to check it out. organizing my quilting room now why a mess before it gets better!
Country girl. I grew up in a small town near Rockford. The past 30 years I have lived in the country on 7 acres 50 miles south of Rockford. Love the peace and quiet.
I grew up in a burb, but I have lived in big cities for most of my life. Now I crave birdsong and quiet, fresh dewy mornings and distance from city street traffic. Problem is, I'm so used to hopping on the subway and being able to do or get anything I want.
Oh no. We are in the same boat. I’m having a tooth pulled next week. I just thought i clenched my teeth too hard one night. Didn’t even know which tooth was bothering me. Turns out i have an infection under the back tooth. Next thing I know my dentist rushes me off to the guy that does root canals directly from her office. He informs me that even though there is already a root canal there my roots are too long and curved so he can not fix it so they have to pull it. Then bone graph and implants. Wow. That went south quick. Sending hugs to you. I live in the outskirts of a very large city. I love being away from all the people. Up in the mountains by a lake would be great.
I live between two large cities in California and I love the smaller city which still has that country feel left to it. It has grown a lot in the last 30 years but was just named one of the safest cities! 🎉
Oh, I'm all for the country.. I've lived out here in the country for over 50 years. You couldn't get me to live in the city for all the tea in China. Sending Light and Love to Everyone. ❤🙏❤
Hello Holly. I was born in a city and have lived in the same city all my life. My parents, my brother, my kids and grandkids were all born in the city of Calgary, Alberta Canada. It is a beautiful city with a population of close to 2 million people. I would not have it any other way. I love what a city brings, access to everything under the sun. Calgary is 75 miles from the Canadian Rocky Mountains if one cares to make a drive to the town of Banff, which is beautiful. But I love my city and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I think I know why I don't like batiks. My brain prefers symmetry. Just like the pattern you showed is asymmetric so I could never make a pattern like that - I know I'm a nut. Your squirrel is enjoying him/herself relaxing on the branch. See you soon Holly.
Good morning, I'm mostly country, but live in a smaller city, in my little house that my brother approved of with my screened in back porch overlooking my beautiful back yard(at least in my mind it is beautiful)
City; I like the convenience of being close to stores and doctors. Are you near Oregon? 15+ years ago we traveled there to pick up a Border Collie puppy.
I am more of a country but live in the birbs. I do like modern style not country style at all. I do love those fabrics. Good luck next week. Take it easy with the tooth. We would love to see Tom!!!
Holly don’t ever feel guilty about how beautiful your weather is! Even though here in Phoenix today is our 88th day over 100 🥵. But in January while so many are snowed in we will be having lunch on the patio 😎. Your squirrel is hanging out enjoying your weather! Love love love (:
I was born a country girl... moved to San Diego at 19, and I loved the change, but it was only for a year. I moved back to the country/suburbs in north eastern PA and love living within reach of cities but the quietness and beauty of the country. These batiks were pretty and that moment of zen is awesome!
Gorgeous batiks! I have a number of projects, but I might need these. I live in a NE suburb of Minneapolis, Maple Grove. As for clothing colors, wear what feels comfortable. However, I did a color thing years ago. The woman who did it (Sazama Coutures, I believe), first wear the colors found on your body. Make sure you check the flecks in your eyes, strands of hair, inside your lip and skin colors. Then, put colors up to your face to see if they look good next to your skin or not. It’s never failed me.
I prefer the country over City when I was a younger woman and ran around a lot I enjoyed the city but I really did love going to the country ain't going camping. I also prefer the mountains to levelland I think that's why I like East Texas because we have hills and beautiful trees and flowering trees.
Holly, if you wanted the 54x54 bigger, you could add a piano key border with leftover cuts from the fat quarters. Pretty pattern for those bundles! I also suffer from overplanning and messing up my sewing area, lol. Pretty batiks. Minnesota country girl who has lived in Minneapolis but prefers the quiet life now.
Holly, sadly I had to travel to Iowa for my BFFs dad’s funeral last week. We’ve been friends for 45 years. The one bright spot of the trip was some retail therapy. I was fortunate enough to find some of the batik fabric from the recent All Iowa Shop Hop! I was lucky enough to get 2 fat quarter bundles and a bit of yardage! I can’t wait to browse through my patterns for a quilt. ❤
I'm a country girl! Have had the opportunity to live in other countries, big cities and smallish cities, there is nothing like a quiet country sunrise or sunset.
Thank you! My blood pressure was dangerously high and they sent me home. Have to wait till the 6th for an appointment to get it checked 😞. Then get it normal and then go to dentist again…. 😢
I lived for 20 years in the country on 5 acres and as much asi loved that and the beautiful house I got to build, hated the fact that nothing was close . I had to drive at least 30 minutes to get to halfway descent shopping.
The view out your door is gorgeous. Hope you’re enjoying the outdoors as much as possible! xo
I love batiks! I always love a log cabin pattern. That’s what I would do with the fabric 😊
I love the squirrel picture!!😂
I'm a small town girl, close to a grocery store, but still five minutes from the country.
I'm a country girl. We have cattle. Loved the fabric. Purple is my favorite color 💜.
I live in the country outside of Ellensburg. Cows and hay,😊
Loved your moment of Zen. Have 2 little squirrels who visit my bird table every morning. I don't turn anybody away from the table. Birds and squirrels eat together on it. Am an introvert so it's the country for me. Right now, I live in a small development in the country. Too many neighbors. Wow!!! Those batiks are so gorgeous ❤. I live 45 minutes from any city, near Cleveland. We have a lot of Amish near us.
Totally country girl! Love a big grassy meadow and the birds that come with them. I live in cranberry bog country.
You do!! I love the bogs. When I was a girl we used to go and watch them flood the fields.
Holly the zen picture is adorable. I prefer rural country. I live in a small town in Ohio. Thank you for sharing. God bless

City girl here! Lived in NYC for 15 years and loved it. We only moved to the burbs because we wanted our child to have a little more space to run around - you definitely have to value your pizza over your space in a big city haha
Oh, if I had all the money I’d move to NYC. Only been once and felt so at home.
That's a great zen picture! I looked it up and what the squirrel is doing is called "splooting" . It's their way of cooling off 😎
Oh, sweet friend, I hope everything goes well at the dentist. You rest and recover as long as you need. I am a country person, I live on the outskirts of a small town. The nearest actual city is a 1.5 hour drive away.

My sister spent many years living in Mentor OH and I was surprised at how beautiful that part of the US was. So green and lovely.
Country life and suburbs are my choice, as long as there is a quilt shop nearby. Right now I live a half mile from a combination chiropractor’s clinic and quilt shop. Life is good 👍🙂
Yes August in Phx is still very hot for us

Country all the way. Just driving into Milwaukee gives me an eye twitch....😂
😂😂😂
Those are some beautiful batiks! Country girl.... quiet, safe, city makes me anxious too!

@@DandelionStitches West Covina. Torrance is in the South Bay. We almost moved there when I was in school long ago.

Allergy sufferer, meds = tiredness. I am getting caught up on your wonderful videos. Small town living past 17 years. ❤️
I would love to live in the country. I currently living in a small city and have to say I hate it. I spend my days sewing and to myself. We moved here from Florida, which I loved but he hated, so here we are. Love the material! Have a wonderful day, sending hugs and prayers.
So where is here!?!! Just wondering
❤️😀
I've always lived in the suburbs of a really big city. Close enough to find anything you need, but far enough away that it's not stressful.
Hello from ND!! ❤ Have you lived here before? If not, invest in a good snow shovel! 😊
Country girl…grew up in the mountains of NC and my heart is still there…but live in suburbs of Balt/washington now. Thanks for the LINKZ. Quilting/ sewing is the million dollar hobby so finding a deal is the bomb!
Country for sure! ❤
I am definitely a country girl. I live in the woods in Maine, and enjoy the peace and privacy💕. I love those batiks. Have a beautiful day ❤
❤❤❤i live in the burbs. Use to be an awesome place. Now it's over crowded and traffic. Omg.
I love the country
Woods and hills and quiet.
Country girl at heart.
For yours & Holly’s dental visits- best wishes for a smooth recovery. Hopefully you can enjoy the laughing gas.
Ooh I like the looks that makes the last one the shallots.
She's in the midwest. In some of her videos she mentions the city and state she's in.
@@TheHawkeyeQuilterSorry, I should have said Oregon, Illinois.
Me tooo I love bakits also, great to work with 🤗
Hello Holly how are you this day? You look relaxed and outside the squirrel looks comfortable playing at the bottom of your bird feeder.❤
Hello Charolett. I'm good today; thanks for asking. How are you?
Country gal who likes to visit the city. I adore Batiks and never know what I'll do with them, but still buy them.
I prefer the country over City when I was a younger woman and ran around a lot I enjoyed the city but I really did love going to the country ain't going camping. I also prefer the mountains to levelland I think that's why I like East Texas because we have hills and beautiful trees and flowering trees.
Beautiful batiks, but then I love purple. I'm definitely a city girl
Hi Holly, great batiks, I especially like the chevrons and shallots. Hope the tooth extraction doesn't cause you too much trouble xxx
Raised in the country, moved to the city wish I could go back to the country.
Suburbs, country for me! Going this morning to get 2 teeth removed and a new one 😬. The dental fear is real here!😞
☹️ I’m hoping all goes well for your dental day. ❤️😀
Thank you! My blood pressure was dangerously high and they sent me home. Have to wait till the 6th for an appointment to get it checked 😞. Then get it normal and then go to dentist again…. 😢
@@pameladempsey5943 well I can understand your frustration. Hang in there and hopefully it will all turn out good ❤️😀
Thank you!
I love Batiks also!
I lived for 20 years in the country on 5 acres and as much asi loved that and the beautiful house I got to build, hated the fact that nothing was close . I had to drive at least 30 minutes to get to halfway descent shopping.
Country Girl…I’m an introvert and city’s make me a little anxious. I like to visit a big city once in a blue moon😊
Thanks!
Thank you SO much!! xo
