- As custom patch hats get more popular, you're going to need an adhesive you can trust. Durra-Bull adhesive is the industry standard in thermal activated adhesive for patch hats including leather, leatherette, embroidered, and wood veneer patches. Thank you so much for this video. I'm a veteran laser engraver, but new to the leather patch game. I'll likely be making a lot of hat patches for the veterans MC I ride with, so this will be a game changer for me.
placed my first order of leatherette sheets and Richardson hats! New to the game but excited to get started right here in the Lone Star State!
Have you dyed leather patches after using the degreaser and did you get any issues?
What strength do you use the degreaser at?
Mask your leather is the best option in my opinion..
Do you dilute the degreaser with water? What ratio if you do? Thanks!
Do a 50/50 solution with water
does the same process work on leather?
I would suggest a dry towel for a majority of the char and then a damp rag or baby wipe for the rest. Degreaser will discolor the leather
Is it the harbor freight brand degreaser
It is LA Awesome, which can be purchased there
How do you seal them or is it necessary? Thanks
It’s not necessary to seal the leatherette patches. Just clean them up, let them dry, and heat press them to the hat.
