Great comparison! For me, the iPad wins in the long run, even though it has been released two years ago. When the performance of the Samsung starts to slow down that midrange chipset due to the new updates, the iPad will still be running miles around it with all that horsepower. I also like the display aspect ratio, it’s more useful and comfortable to do work on it. I wish Apple could add the Pencil on the bundle, like Samsung does, it’s more convenient to use it straight away from the box and saves money.
I am looking for a good tablet. So appreciate these types of reviews. And I don't really want an Apple Tablet. But these do have something that is most interesting to me. The ratio. The Android tablets, including those from Samsung, have a ratio of 16:10. And target more the multiple types of users. Streamers, Netfliz, HBO etc. Gamers. And I am not that one. Want use it for reading, note taking.
Hi, I'm a student looking to transition to the world of digital notetaking. I'm not really attached to any of the apple/samsung ecosystem as of the moment but I have great preference for android simply because of app sideloading. However, based on your review, it seems like the hardware on the S9 FE is making be think twice about choosing it. My use cases would be a great deal of multitasking/ note taking/ media consumption/ switching between multiple pdfs and word docs. How does the Exynos 1380 cope with that load? The S9 FE at my local area (with free slim keyboard) retails for $550 USD. The ipad 10 retails for the same price without the pen or keyboard. I can live without the keyboard but not the pen. I intend on keeping the tablet for 3-5 years. The A14 bionic offers extra performance that I may not need right now might come in handy two years later. What do you think? Edit: the S9 FE pricing is the 8/256 GB variant
the ipad will win in performance but if you want a better version of the s9 fe that is still cheaper than the s9 you could always go with the tab s8, it will have better performance, plus it has video out. I do prefer the s pen over apple pencil but you could also try the S9 FE to see if its powerful enough for what you do, just keep all the packaging in case you need to exchange it.
@@FishBeeProductions Huh I haven't considered the old flagship S8 until now. The s8 seems to offer the least amount of compromises for my use cases. Just worried that I might experience buyer's remorse getting the S9 fe for the price it's asking. Thanks for your help.

@lets_solve_ Hi. Got the S9 FE+ since last year and its been a great note taking companion for school. I also have a friend who regularly uses his ipad air 4th gen for the same use cases as me. All I can say is that the A14 Bionic (ipad10/ipadair4) practically runs circles around my Exynos 1380 in terms of app switching/lauching and general system responsiveness. Got the FE+ because of sideloading, bigger screen, and a free keyboard to boot acting as my laptop replacement (for me at least). I recall the SoC on the 9th gen ipad is an A13 which is still a beast. If you want a device that could last for that amount of time then the Exynos is definitely off the table. The 9th gen ipad will serve your use cases well. While you're looking for tabs, also check the xioami pad 6. It comes with a beefy SD870 at an attractive price.
@@papagandalf9411 Problem is that in our country, though it is close to China, the support for Xiaomi as a company and the stylus replacement and all are absolutely not available. The only noticeable problem on the Galaxy FE tablets is their processors, all of them are mid-low range processors that it is the only thing that i think Samsung should improve on those FE tablets, maybe if they added mid-top rnage processors such as the dimensity 8000 or Snapdragon 7, those Tablets would be perfect and they should be even more worthy than ipads in my personal opinion

Depends on what you're doing. If you're doing anything that involves engineering software (cad, solidworks, matlab) you'll want a windows pc and therefore also the s9. In general if you want to game go for windows. Macs are not good for gaming

When the performance of the Samsung starts to slow down that midrange chipset due to the new updates, the iPad will still be running miles around it with all that horsepower.
I also like the display aspect ratio, it’s more useful and comfortable to do work on it.
I wish Apple could add the Pencil on the bundle, like Samsung does, it’s more convenient to use it straight away from the box and saves money.
iPad 10 geb good for note making and book reading for ca course
The S9 FE version that has 256g also has upgraded ram to 8 like the ipad. I wonder how much the performance increases with the better ram?
i'm sure it can handle multitasking better but i don't have one to compare unfortunately
@@papagandalf9411 So which one will you get? Like in India, we get like iPad 9th gen (I find iPad 9th gen more convenient than the 10th gen) and apple pencil 1 together as the same price of the Samsung s9 fe. Would like to use my tablet atleast till 2030, what do you suggest me to buy?
As the value for each rupee in terms for Purchase Power Parity is much higher than it is in terms of real value (1 USD = 20 INR), it is difficult for us to buy more of electronics which is cost more than your charges in USD as they are priced according to the US standards. Thanks for your time and suggestion, I've made my mind to the ipad 9th gen :) Have a good day!
Don’t they deliver to Switzerland? 😢😢😢
Nice comments about the tab s9 fe but the 5g cellular version is actually $549, the cellular models cost more than wifi ones.
Can someone help me choosing between this two? I only use it for digital art and maybe 1 or 2 game
Did you end up choosing one? I want one tablet for the same reason...
which one would actually perform better if i want to use for 5 years, i've never use any ipad and samsung tablet bfr, so i would love to know ur experience regarding the performances after a few years of using those products ( apple or samsung)

Tab S9 FE+ vs iPad Air 5 Please
i wouid say it depends on the person, personally if i had to chose one it would be the air 5 cause of the software and the m1 chip upgrade from the air 4 to air5 but in performance and upgrade potential s9 fe+ takes since the battery and battery drain are of a better quality since after all s9 fe+ is newer and supposed to be better than the apple generation of 2022 including the ipad 10 for some reason, as in conclusion choose whatever suits you as a software and specs you prefer but i would go for apple on this particular crossout
The selfie cam of the S9 FE should be capable of shooting 4K 30fps. (Probably isn't of much use anyway.)
that sstill better
Its so hard to choose 😢. I need an tablet for school and i need it to last aleast 3-4 years some say go ipad as its preformace last better but i also need storage and samsung is much flexible and cost efficient
I'm still puzzled too, idk what to choose
Did you buy one?
Yeah, they dont make it easy...
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 ultra and an iPad I only have to use the iPad for Apple TV because it’s so unfair that Apple TV+ is not available in Samsung devices which I read on Google. I’ve even tried to download it on the Internet that didn’t work so might as well go to Plan B get an iPad and let me tell you it’s great wasn’t expecting to get an iPad and I wasn’t expecting Apple TV but there’s some great stuff in it and I love my iPad. I love both of them.
They both are coming exactly at same price right now lol . 432$
For long term use which one will be best
i think they will last a similar amount of time
here in Porgtugal its S9 Fe 8/128 at 459€ vs the ipad 10 4/64 at 559€, but Ima go with the xiaomi pad 8/256 at 330€

I have an iPad 8th generation 32 Gb, and I’m thinking of buying either iPad 10th 62Gb or Samsung s9 fe 256 Gb (I have a very good offer in the last one). I only use the tablet for normal things, internet, social media and videos. Which one you’d recommend to me? Thanks
both are good for that just personal preference on whether you want android or iPadOS. I like that the s pen is included with samsung but the ipad is a good option, especially if you can get it on sale.
Great video 😊
Can you edit videos on the samsung s9 fe? And is it compatible with usbc to hdmi cable please? Thank you
i want a tablet that i can use for around 5 years or longer. which will last me more, the samsung or the apple tablet? i am a student. i would like to download books, write, watch videos and play some games
The iPad 10 will last longer than five years with software support with better battery health compared to the Samsung Tab S9 FE.
In s9 fe can we connect to external display with type c to hdmi adapter.
no
Which one will be better for digital art
both are good for that but you might better app selection for art with the ipad
make S9 fe vs Ipad 9th gen😊
The only noticeable problem on the Galaxy FE tablets is their processors, all of them are mid-low range processors that it is the only thing that i think Samsung should improve on those FE tablets, maybe if they added mid-top rnage processors such as the dimensity 8000 or Snapdragon 7, those Tablets would be perfect and they should be even more worthy than ipads in my personal opinion
im multimedia student I do mostly job on my laptop I just want second device for notes taking also digital art since I deal a lot of assignment with that but mostly I did my finalizing on laptop..Which one should I take 😢😢 I am on budget so these two are surely within my budget
Which one you ended up with ?
Which tab is good for notemaking??
Both, preferably ipad coz of goodnotes and other few apps, better aspect ratio
I think samsung, the S pen comes included and is considered better than the apple pen
I got the S9 FE plus, and was going to buy the ipad 10th generation, i made up my mind after i watched a lot of reviews but i'm not sure if it's better than the ipad 10th generation

Which would you buy for a 5 year old to play games and watch videos?
not sure what games a 5 year old would play but the ipad is better at gaming in general

Apple better for simple people like americans
I'm still confused about what I have to choose, cause I'm using it just for notes, editing and watching, can you guys recommend me what do I have to choose?
Yes the Samsung is better for your case
If you want it for gaming choose the ipad

I would go with the same ecosystem of my phone where having two accounts (apple and google) would make it harder to manage both...

hello, i will soon start my college and i am stuck with ipad 10 or s9 fe decision. my motive is to take notes not gaming in a tablet ( improve producitivty )
In India ipad 10 is 35$ cheaper than samsung s9 fe ; with a free apple pencil regarding student discount.
if i go for ipad 10 then i will get mac mini m1 which will be my desktop thus zero concerns regarding gaming in tablet.
s9 fe has free pen but no updates after 4 years of release ( ipad 10 still has 8 yrs left ) and then i will have have to go for a windows PC.
with knowing this much info i am confused whether to go with apple build or a samsung one.
i have thought of ecosystem that is why ipad plus mac mini.
i would like opinions on my case please. non biased
Ipad 10
Depends on what you're doing. If you're doing anything that involves engineering software (cad, solidworks, matlab) you'll want a windows pc and therefore also the s9. In general if you want to game go for windows. Macs are not good for gaming

I'm thinking about buying a tablet to take notes for college. I'm hesitating between these two models. I just want to take notes on this. That's why I care about a good battery and a good stylus. Besides, I want the tablet to operate without failure for at least the next 3 years. I have a Samsung phone, so it's closer to their tablet. However, I am afraid that the processor is too weak. Do you think that despite the weaker processor, the tablet will last me for several years? Or maybe I should buy an iPad because of the processor?

If your really on a budget. Get the tab s6 lite (2022 version, most recent) it finally has a snapdragon and plus still has a headphone Jack which if you don’t think is a major factor then trust me, it is a major factor, and it’s smaller than most of all the recent tablets but it’s still big.
