Me and wife go out on the boat every weekend. I typically do most operations of boat driving but wife is just as capable just in case something happens. Always be prepared and safe out there.
22:25 Get a powerbank. Or even better considering the weather you're always filming in: get a solar panel. No more worries about battery life. I use a 6x10" solar panel myself when out on the boat so I can use GPS all day, it charges my battery faster than I can use it.
Love your channel buddy, keep up the great work!!!! I look forward to watching them!!! I’m a boater and just can’t believe how some people can’t back a boat up or load one, pretty scary!!!
Love the show man....got my wife into watching it with me too....pretty funny shit dude, keep it up!!! Makes me miss my boat, not the problems we had with it, just miss the good times we had with the wife and kids.
19:10 - he was thinkin about last night when she told him to "put it in deep" . . . a perfect example of being "in the moment." not at the boat ramp, fool! (newlywed game moment).
From all of the videos I have seen, the most beginner boat (a pontoon) looks like the most difficult to get on a trailer. Everything is against you, visibility of the toons, surface area for wind resistance, requirement to get the toons into the bunk slots, single engine on back of a rectangle, poor hydrodynamics. No wonder we get so many golden videos of pontoon owners. Add all of the above to the fact that complete newbs and googans are the primary drivers (I wouldn’t go so far as to call them captains) it is a recipe for gold.
Referrence shout out to Chris Rock. When you come into the boat ramp first rule is Turn That Shit Off. 2nd rule is show some respect for other boaters trying to get their shit back on the trailer.
When my son and I trailer our boat my son will back the trailer in close to the dock. I put a line at the bow and aft on the dock side to control the boat. I’ll give the boat a shove to the front of the trailer where my son will hookup and off we go.
You get nice friendly boats. There’s another couple channels who always have meanies. At least, that’s the ones they upload. For the shock value I suppose
'Why?' Exaggerated gunwale widths, minimal freeboard at the transom. They have the appearance of being overweight, and the side profile of many indicate they are not designed to willingly get on to a 'trimmed level plane'. Overall design lines require some Froude analyse and then testing. Their poor design appears to result in the requirement of too much HP to get them up into something that resembles a level plane. The bigger they get the uglier their dimensions get! @@TheBigDanShow
Oh my Lord, Dan! You did not disappoint with this video! Can’t wait to check in to your next vid of the Jeep Ladies! I can’t tell you how I laughed when you said “Hi Boys, look who’s here!”. I must get out more - I’m finding this all way too much fun! 🥹🚤🥹 x
How do people not understand if back in to the point that you can't see any of your bunks showing out the water that the boat will not line up properly?
@@TheBigDanShow I trailer my little center console. Used the ramps from Ft. Morgan to Destin several times per year for many years. But rarely on weekends. Of course, these efforts are reserved for vacations to the Gulf instead of hanging out on Priest Lake in Nashville on the wife's pontoon during the rest of the year (where it's docked). :)
Dan I always tell every one who rides in my boat that I can not see throuh them especially when I am docking or loading on trailer. . Seems like everyone wants to go to the front or dock side and the Captain is blinded.
Most of your boaters can’t drive a boat, the Pontoon boat is the best I live in Miami Florida and the ramps a lot tighter than what you have tune in to the chit show on utube and you will see some good stuff
I don’t get it. You first have to assess the situation. Then come up with a plan of attack. You look at factors like wind and current. Then you have to know how your boats reacts to your steering. For example, you trying to dock or trailer your boat and you’re coming in sideways because of the current or whatever, so now when you get close you have to be aware of the back of your boat. What I see is people turning one way or another and they think the front of the boat matters most. Say your coming in and you boat is to the left of the trailer. People want to turn more right which in turn makes your back end go left. Get the front close to lined up and turn the wheel to the left ! Which in turn will swing your back end to the right where it’s supposed to be. You might have to give it a litttle throttle depending on how far off you are but just a little throttle will make that back end respond quicker and it straightens you right on up. Second , don’t park so far in the water like big Dan says all the time. That the most important part of this whole thing. And you don’t have to drive your boat in the back of your truck. Get it close and get your as@ out and hook it and winch it. Before you do that , put your engine up. So when you get out of your boat to hook it then you can drive on out. I do it all my self with no help. I roll up , trailer , winch and go. I can usually be out of there before people doing the two person tag team. Again , look at what it is that you’re trying to accomplish, look at your back end. Ask your self if I go forward leaving a dock or whatever, is my back end going to hit another boat? If so, then you might want to turn you engine ( out drive) so when you reverse it pulls you away from the dock and not into another boat. It’s hard to explain what to do rather than show you.
When you suck this bad ( yellow and white boat) just turn the engine off and walk the boat on to the trailer. And save us a bunch of time. You know that other people want to use the ramp also , right!! And another example of the trailer being way too deep.
BIG D..... you got behind the yellow bikini & the video frames stated skizzing out; interference OR your old lady was shaking you over the railing of the bridge? You do not have to answer as ANYthing you say CAN/WILL be used against YOU Sir..... NOT. I'm being bad is all. Keep us entertained so I can spout off !!
Rather boring. You don’t do enough editing of your footage and we have to wait a long time for anything interesting. Other people on here say that they enjoy watching boats manoeuvring and waiting for something to happen, but that means there are long delays between anything interesting because you don’t edit what you show.
Why is it such that a big deal to drive a boat??if your female my husband drives the truck and I load and unload the boat it’s been like that since day one for 20 years😊
Funny how you do voice over but most of them have tons of time on the dock. Why don't you just watch and give props to all them.. No way you have the skills they do...

put it in deep, get it wet, then pull it out a little bit. a long time ago our trailers where all rollers.
Great advice
$100?? Heck, I'd be gone like a shot. Head first on my belly like a seal.
That lady with the baby, made me nervous when she stood up in the front of that boat with nothing to hold on to.
The home of bumper boatin' and trailer floatin' 🚤 😂

That's one thing I've never been accused of.

They should have kept at life jacket on that baby till they were on the ground
That's what she said
im in Oklahoma and i almost started running to the ice cream boat to slide off that slide and im 54 years old
I remember the good ol days in the 70 and 80,s when people could load a boat on the trailer,
Man, I can watch this stuff for hours. So entertaining 😂
Yeah, He's cool as hell.
They all want to look like they know what they are doing, but then just watch .....
14:21 You would never have to ask me twice! Before you finished the sentence I’d be splashing in the water!
Man I sure do hate to see them go. But it sure is nice to watch them leave
"That's a beautiful dog...", and the puppies weren't bad either
It wasn't the lady's fault around the 20 min mark. The trailer floated and moved, she followed the line then he changed it and messed her up.

Great video.
Looks like at least 95% of the problems are because they are in too deep. Personally, I've never had that issue!
A good trailer boater should establish within two launches/recoveries the ideal depth that their trailer should be in at the ramp.
🤣

I carry large heavy duty tie wraps in my tow vehicle just in case I have a problem like you did with the trailer bunk.

Shut UP, I'll DO IT for $150...... whatta I gotta do? am I in over my head?
So if a boat has quad 450’s do you just add that together to get the HP? 1800
That is correct
$200. Dollars, I’ll do it for that. I’ll even give the guy $20. Dollars to let me do it for $200. Dollars. LOL
