I'm so happy to hear good, gaming related stories - it's sadly a bit of a rarity nowadays. I really hope that game will find it's audience - it's really incredible and addicting.
Yeah, it's always good to hear about the success stories. Based on the recent reviews I feel pretty comfortable saying it has found its audience and hopefully that audience grows over time.
I said the same thing, it was a breath of fresh air from live service and all the fomo of missing out if you don't play every day. Really hope more people supprt the game and developers!
This game is a perfect “chill and play” game. Just pop on some UA-cam or a podcast and causally play. Its great to have all the trappings of a live service loot game, but with a regular game price and no microtransactions.
This game is great. There's only 3 things that, if added would make this game elite for me. Raids, exotics, & the ability to swap between 2 weapons on the fly after reaching a certain character level.
I think some of that was part of the original plan, but I doubt they'll be making raids now since the game is fully playable as a solo character. Swapping between 2 weapons would be awesome though.
I just bought this a couple days ago and cant stop playing. I love the customization for characters and builds. This has so much potential as an open world mmo. I would pay a sub for it.
I'm an ex World of Warcrafter who played for 12 straight years from launch. In recent years my favorite game series has been Diablo Three and four. This game takes the best elements of that stuff, and moves it back to allowing me to play offline or just with a couple friends. Honestly pretty much perfect in my opinion. I would love to see this become a genre: Single player MMOs.
MMOs ass a whole are moving more towards catering towards solo players so I could see more singleplayer experiences that emulate MMO gameplay in the future.
Do you have DLSS enabled? I have an 11900K and a 3080ti and I only have a few momentary glitches. It also seems you have a few features turned on that I do not. Just from the gameplay you've shown.
Started playing it this week. it is fun, fairly simple grinding away switching between each character. I think it's more accurate to call this game a Hero Action game. Sure you can throw RPG out there for certain mechanics but you aren't really playing a roll.
The game sadly is still very badly optimized. As far as I know there's going to be QoL and big fixes coming on December. It's very CPU heavy, and I'm running it on an old 36 core xeon with cores unlocked. I get random lag spikes every time enemies are loaded in, but it's still playable. The reason why you feel guns don't feel good (Silo) is because you didn't use your aim button a single time. It feels almost like cheating once you learn how to use it. It has an auto aim of sorts, you won't miss, ever. The only thing you really need to keep track of is the reloading timing. Kyros is literally the strongest character in the game. Ability power -> crit and you'll be dealing over 100k damage with your ultimate. Venomess is better rogue than Niss is, her kit synergises with that kind of playstyle so well, and she's basically immortal with very little effort. What I dislike is all the 2-handed weapons share too many attack animations. I mean, I get it, but switching between huge ass sword, huge ass axe or scythe barely feels like you're switching weapons.
Yeah I though that Venomess may work really well with daggers as well. Her skills kit is already pretty mobile and she has loads, upon loads of heals. Altough Kyros will outheal her if you lean in one of his skills and maximize the amount of times you can use it.
There is a system to group with random people. I also don't really know anyone who plays the game so I didn't get an opportunity to test the multiplayer with people I know.
sorry for being biased against the dev team, but they abandoned the entire PS4 player base, as if all PS4 players could afford a new console during the pandemic or magically pull a PS5 out of thin air during the shortage. and iirc, the game was originally announced for PS4 and PC. other than connectivity issues, the old PS4 could handle it pretty well until AS pulled the plug entirely with the Echoes update.
Well with Echoes they changed a lot, and I'd imagine the new version wasn't going to run on PS4. Airship Syndicate has definitely struggled with performance (as evidence by the performance issues I experienced on a high end PC). The minimum specs on PC are a Ryzen 5 3600 or i7 6700 and an AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT or GTX 1650 Super. IE: hardware that's 4-5 years old. The PS4 is 11 years old so I'd imagine with the update it wouldn't have been able to run unfortunately.

I actually just picked this up today then saw this video. I got some Darksiders vibes. Something to kill time between now and PoE 2 beta.
If I remember correctly, Airship Syndicate did work on Darksiders Genesis.
All the art design is made by Joe Madureira for both games who also owns the studio.
@@Tenkiei Not only that Joe Madureira is an owner of Airship syndicate and he created Darksiders ip in the first place.

I can recommend it too 100% worth it for the price... For 20 euros you hardly can buy a skin in these days and here we have fairly big game 💪👊
Would love if you can equip 2 weapons. 1 range and 1 for melee

I do have DLSS enabled, aside of that it's whatever the settings defaulted to on medium.
It reminds me of the darksiders 2 combat so much I forget that I don’t have a pistol to do alil extra damage
I love the game and wait for the hardcore mode in december to play it further
Strong recommend.

Is performance optimization still horrible??? Also the blurry characters is not a vibe
I've tried to sell myself on every iteration of this game, but I just don't think I'm buying it. Thanks for a comprehensive review
You're welcome!

is this worth solo? is there fun as solo.. or is too tedious and hard to manage ?
Definitely, I played solo and enjoyed it.
@ ohh nice! Imma get it today then.
Great vid, thanks. In terms of a rating system, go with your own opinion added to player reviews, instead of game 'journalist' reviews.
爲什麽要去購買一款不能組隊的MMORPG呢?
Is it really single player, or is playing co op also possible and easy and fun (with people you dont know, having no friends that play this game haha)
There is a system to group with random people. I also don't really know anyone who plays the game so I didn't get an opportunity to test the multiplayer with people I know.
@Tenkiei thx. Is it nice / fun / rewarding to play with randoms? Or solo better?
I don't really find any game fun or rewarding to play with randoms. I'd rather play with friends or solo.
I’m play on PS5 and there is NO PERFORMANCE ISSUES! for me atleast
Same
I just hit 600 hours
this game was really cool as an mmo
