The general Korean population would probably question her as a mother just bc of how this country is when it comes to raising children to who they “should” be rather than raising them to what they “want” to be. But she’s an awesome mother she lets her daughter do what she wants and doesn’t pressure her😍
I completely agree with you and you explained it very well. Most asian parents raise their kids to be someone that the society approves of. What they actually should do is raise them up to be who they are meant to be. Raising them with conciousness .

Yeah, it actually become pretty hot dicussion on ktwitter. But as someone who always push by my parent, i can tell you it's very stressfull, and i swear i won't do the same thing to my children.
I love how she make her daughter choose what she want to wear. i remember when i was a child, my mom choose what my brother to wear in school even thou my brother dont want to wear it, our mom forces him to wear it and when we're on our way to school, my brother cried and curses our mom.
😭 until today my mom sometimes choose my clothes and always comment about it, it's good or bad. My age now 25.

my mom is also like that and im 23. she was always like "why are you wearing a sweater? its so hot today. go back and change" even if its my preferred clothes i have to change because if i don't, she would nag at me.
i think, its a mother thing.. it won't change even if you get so older than 30.
children don't know how to dress, all children (except the privileged ones) who veat for themselves dress in an ugly way, it looks like they don't have a mother or father

Parents can guide them but not force them to wear what they don't like. but i'm not saying that your point is wrong. its good to have a parent that look after you.
I used to cry before because my mom makes me wear dress I don't like and I was a boyish back then. She won't allow me to go out with my friends if I won't wear what she likes 😭

aiki's parenting is actually SOOOOOOOOOOOO IDEAL. she give her child options and a chance to choose what she wants and not restricting her to voice out her thoughts and opinions.
I love when parents raise their child to be confident and encouraging them to do what they want to do like picking out a outfit for themselves might seem like nothing but that helps them become their own individual… I’ll try to do the same IF I become a mom💀

This is how i see myself as a mom in the future. I may be saying that i would never have a child since i'm afraid of giving birth, but the idea of having someone your own and guiding them the way you wanted is amazing. It may look old school in the future but i'd love to experience dancing hard, dying hair, picking out clothes that we're banned or i wasn't allowed to wear when i was younger with my kid would be such a fun idea.

I wanna be this kind of mom. I really want my future kids to learn to decide for themselves and speak their mind and be able to have confidence. It's definitely gonna be useful for them especially when they get older. I wasn't raised like that since my mom did everything for me so I wasn't able to do things on my own until I became an adult. I grew up being dependent on my mom. It was definitely hard adjusting to do things by myself so I think it's important to teach your kids even at a young age to decide and do things for themselves. ☺️
