I have never heard of this show (I was 8 in 1955). But I’m glad to find it - thanks !!!
You know, It's nice to see black-and-white capsules such as these. They go into another time period where things seemed simpler, but still complicated.
Agreed!
I'm glad you used the word "seemed." :) How much can anybody learn about society from an old game show? Try some history books or some documentaries for that. :)
As seen on NBC's Thursday night schedule at 8:30pm(et).
This was Gene's first appearance as host, taking over from Jim McKay after the first four telecasts.
I love the Borden commercials in this show. My cousin Janet Samuelson was a little baby in South Amboy, New Jersey when this aired.
Another Gil Fates winner! I hope more than the three episodes of this program that are on YT as of today still exist. I really like it.
Never heard of this show but then I was going on 9 yrs old that year when the show came on the air.
On WNEW radio in New York City.
Gloria DeHaven was an actress who acted in movies from 1936 to 1997, including the movie "Out to Sea," starring Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon.
Anymore please please
Anymore please
Who would be so honest/ honorable today?
bring the reruns back...
Gene Klavan replaced Gene Rayburn as co-morning host on WNEW-AM radio with Dee Fitch.
29:32- "WAY OF THE WORLD" was a daytime "soap" (sponsored by Borden's) seen on NBC from January through September 1955. Originally scheduled at 10:30am(et), it moved to 4pm during this period.
It was 15 minutes long
That's right.
“ How come you’re so confident?”
Beautiful woman baffled by a plain one taking 7 months to say “ yes”!
Borden’s Double Dutch Chocolate Milk was incredibly delicious
Borden's Company closed down in the beginning of the 21st century.
Can't the contestants speak for themselves on this? Every time that cop was to reply to any question, the host kept answering for him.He rarely got to speak.Annoying.
Ya you right but know it looks like more better
Not nearly enough time for the panel to figure it out.
Mr. Miller seems like a bamf
I hate it
From day one Gene Rayburn and Betty White have both been foul mouthed letches. They both continued and Betty still continues , to grow in her “lowness”! Her physical beauty is no cover .....
I’m guessing you are older than 60.
I thought so about these two in the 70’s. They seemed “ sassy.”
You must of celebrated when Betty White died on 12/31/21, just 17 days before her 💯th birthday. 😂😂😂
Boring. The lady doesn't look too thrilled
