All jokes aside, I do have one tip for you want to install this oil filler cap. When installing the new cap, wait a few weeks before installing the sticker. The rubber ring underneath the oil filler cap will shrink a bit because of the heat and moisture. After a few weeks loosen and re-tighten the cap to make sure you cannot twist it any further. Now you can install the sticker and it will sit nice and straight.
If you click on ´settings´ in the UA-cam playbar, you can set the speed to x0.25. This way you can slowly follow the correct steps to replace your cap correctly. It took me a while to find mine, but after I watched the video for the 4th time, I saw that he opened the hood before he changed the cap. It´s a lot easier with the hood open.

I've been putting this mod off for a while now due to its difficulty level. I think I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and take it in to the dealer for this. I'm even going to pay extra for the carbon fiber because I like cats.
Make sure you take a week off to do this job, it can get really difficult 😂

Use a lot of lube, that always helps 😏
A tad off-topic; Did you get a new paint job at any point in this Miata’s life or is it original? Looks absolutely stunning for its age!
As far as I know it’s the original paint! I do try to keep it in the best shape possible with a good clean, clay bar, polish and wax ☺️
Amen to that. My NB with grace green metallic had some scratches and especially stone chippings. Trying to restore it bit by bit now; the bumper is done after a weekend non-stop work :-)
Once it's completely finished I'll come and visit one of your Miating meetings!
Instructions are really unclear. The cap seems to be a little to large to screw over the dipstick. What did i do wrong?

Ik heb met een vriend van mij verschillende Miata meetings georganiseerd (zie Miating.nl) maar door tijdsgesprek ben ik hiermee gestopt. Er zijn genoeg andere partijen die meetings organiseren, zoals MAS (MiatasAtSevenum).
