3 years ago I randomly saw this video on youtube's homepage and decided to watch it, little did I know that by clicking on this video I would be turned into a huge kpopper! That's why JYJ will always have a special place in my heart.
Haha, I can totally related to your feeling. I probably was not that deep into KPop, but I love JYJ's songs and performance. I also love good K-Drama and later like Korean movies all because of Yuchun, no kidding.
If someone write a text book of k pop's history, JYJ and TVXQ will be written down to be first of generation to make success globally in countries like Japan, China and other eastern countries. Although they didn't expand the popularities to western regions, they are one of the first to make K POP going global.
No way! At most to be mentioned as part of the second generation. It's not important what happened, and who tells the story It's like that in politics and in history, and even in K-pop Do an internet search along those lines and you won't find anything about their role. Apart from the comments of their fans. Such is the bitter truth. Maybe one of their fans should write a book or make a movie to properly reflect their contribution, especially JYJ's.
I was one of the western fans and now i can just admire how amazing they were as artists, i still can't process and get over the fact that they're not as popular as they should be now, imagine just imagine a world where tvxq never split.

SM is a terrible company.. but you have to admit they have the best eyes for singing talents & visuals. DBSK was SM’s best 2nd gen bg in Korea bc they all hv beautiful voices & handsome faces. They were the IT group & the inspiration to so many 3rd gen idols (including my bias Xiumin).. until the lawsuit & DBSK split into 2. N you know how SM petty revenge made JYJ can’t perform in Korea & Japan too at that time. I fell in love with JYJ after YooChun’s saeguk drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal in 2010(?) eventho I wasn’t really into kpop before. I recommend to listen to Ayy girl, In heaven & doushite kimi wo suki ni natte shimattandarou.. my all time fave
