Lorwyn-Shadowmoor was my first full block (I got into MTG around the end of the Time Spiral block), and it's a favorite of mine for that reason as well as my love of the Celtic mythology that Lorwyn-Shadowmoor was based on.
Honestly, I feel our interpretations of Shadowmoor are vastly different, but I appreciate your video all the same. I don't think of it as "dark and stormy" so much as utterly fucking terrifying and everything that was once nice suddenly wants to murder you. But that's just the vibe I got from the lore and the cards that were printed.
There are lots of black Goblins, lots of black Elves, and lots of Blue Zombies. They aren't the most common sure, but entire planes have them (lorwyn/shadowmoor has Black elves and Black Goblins, and Innistrad has Blue Zombies)
@@NizzahonMagic I was more talking about undead versions zombie/skeleton/or even cursed versions like garruk. you were correct about my original statement tthough, i was not sppecific enough. has to be a creature not exclusively in black or more known for being in other colaors atleast. with zombie or skeleton added like elf/zombie bird/skeleton. Also, you specifically got me back intto magic a few months ago aftter a 7 or 8 year hiatus because my collection had been stolen on 2 seperate occasions. i had one of your old halloween videos in my feed and have binged you since. and now me and my fiance are both really enoying arena togethor and playing wih new cards so i have no advantage
@@NizzahonMagic Although now that I think about it, a COLORLESS mill combo deck is basically why everyone hates janky blue decks in competitive play but worse lol, so maybe this isnt much of a victory
Plumeveil and Cursecatcher have seen their fair share of play over the years, and Savor the Moment has finally found its time in the spotlight. Other than that I think the most competitively relevant Shadowmoor U card has been Swans of Brynn Argoll.
@@TheShinyFeraligatr I used to play Plumeveil in my Control deck indeed, it was basically just cheap spot removal that left a board presence and was outside of Lightning Bolt range, all of which made it fantastic against red aggro decks.
I appreciate the joke points some cards are getting now, really adds personality to the lists without taking away from their efficiency at conveying information. Hope they stick around after all hallow's eve ends.
I'll try and keep doing them where I can! After Halloween I'll be doing just 1 here and there per the Patreon unless we can get Nizzahon a bit more funding.
The only plane scarier than Innistrad or Shadowmoor: the plane where Storm is a mechanic.
Onslaught had some creepy card art
@@Garl_Vinland I was referring to our plane of existence, lol. But yeah, Onslaught did have a lot of freaky stuff!
Wilt-Leaf Liege was one of my most favorite cards from that set - I've always been an elf-deck lover, and this was an unbelievably good card for it
"Post taco bell fatality incidents"
I don’t understand this. Is that the name of a deck?
Elliot Belloli after having some Taco Bell I let loose a fracturing gust.
Was about to say
Loving the intro
It is pretty great!
Thank you so much for this video, Lorwyn and shadowmoor are my all time favorite sets ❤️
Nice!
The new formatting looks amazing!! Always good to see your evolution
Agree, he put a lot of polish on his recent videos
Well, we finally went from Innistrad to Shadowmoore. And this is what Nizzahone had in-store.
So, now we can do top 10 vintage cards (minus power 9).
Drew Armstrong, The Glorious Lobster Emperor Top 10 The Dark is still in flavour.

LOVED the video. I love Shadowmoor. Since its release (May 2008) no other set has a higher expected value than Shadowmoor. Thank you for sharing!!
crows fooled : 0 lol
I have to admit. I've enjoyed these productions over the last few weeks. Keep it up man.
Tie-Die Bacteria is my favourite format lol
Redcap also goes infinite with spirit Anafenza, Great Henge, and anything else that gives a +1/+1 counter to things entering the field.
I'd like to see murderous redcap get some more points with the grumgully modern deck
Grumgully and Rythm of the Wild both work, in fact.
@@Ceracio thanks bud! I run a redcap deck and have been out of the scene in so long so it's nice to see ideas for synergy!

Haha, I was definitely underselling how scary it is.
it's sad this video only has 26000 views. It deserves so much more than that. great video
Omfg dat intro. This is excellent.
My apsalute favorite set in magic the gathering.
Personally, the beautiful, spooky connecting lands are my favorite from Shadowmoor.
Also try Manamorphose in EDH Wort the Raidmother. There it reads add 4 mana, draw 2, for 2 mana instant speed. Yum
I run it in Ramos, and it's basically just a zero mana add twelve draw one.
Holy hell! that into was amazing!
Thanks!
Can you do a top 10 best cards ever? I'm sure all of them have been covered over the years, but it would be cool to see them all together in one video
top 10 creature cards not normally in black, zombified. like festering goblin, Llanowar Dead, or Vodalian Zombie

Fun fact: it is physically impossible for Nizzahon to make a bad video.

DUDES
SERIOUSLY.
A top 10 set list....with no blue cards!? What heaven have we stumbled upon?
Haha that is pretty interesting.

Favorite set
Uffff ha mejorado muchísimo, felicidades
I never skip your new intro.
Any possibility of making one of these about time spiral? Some dark art and themes, not like Innistrad or Shadowmoor, but still creepy.
Do you plan to make a top 10 for every set? 🤔 Or every block at least?
10:04 6 format vthas an achievement
Can you start counting pauper play
I wanna join the tie-die bacteria tournaments
What the heck is Tie-Die Bacteria?
It's what the shapes in Manamorphose's art look like.
The newest competitive sanctioned format. Expect it to get 5 MPQs.
No devoted druid? That was in this set
I wouldn’t call redcap Spooky. It’s just down right unsettling.

Woooo
4:49 "Post Taco Bell Fatality Incidents"??
I don't know much about MTG so what does this mean lol
gubi Fracturing Gust always shows up at those events 😨
Fracturing Gust has been a staple in that format for years
I might be ruining the joke but taco bell makes many people fart. Like a lot. Taco bell fatality incidents involve "facturing gusts" (deadly farts).
top ten top ten videos that have changed the most since you last did them?
What is spooky about Wilt leaf liege or metamorphose?
Engage
I’m a fan of where you’re going with the style. Not a fan of where it is.
Thank you?

Not being nit picky but you said no reprints and manamorphose was reprinted. Great video though!
Manamorphose has been reprinted since then, but Shadowmoor was the first printing.
He said no reprints, as in cards reprinted into Shadowmoor
