I've done the dragon a few times. On an FJR, a Harley bagger, but on a Grom would be crazy fun. I can't believe I'm not sub'd to your channel. Fixed that. Great Vid.
@@ShutterUp ayeee, appreciate the sub! Also, the Tail of the Dragon and all the surrounding rides on a Grom is Extremely fun! Highly recommend if you get an opportunity
Next time go a few miles past the dragon stores toward robbinsville and eat lunch at the Tapoco Lodge. You won’t regret it. Best atmosphere hands down.
so jealous, went up to the dragon with friends and got a cabin this time of year during the pandemic, and it was the best thing we could have ever done
Sounds like you Mumbled Townsend TN . I added side cases a top case with luggage rack and a windscreen to my Yamaha FZ-07 I pack up my riding gear, a tent and sleeping bag and ride to the Dragon on my Motorcycle. Groms are for teenagers to ride in the City. Why on Earth would Jossie leave an R-7 at home? What is slower on the Dragon, a Harley Davidson or a Grom? In 1983 I wanted a 4 stroke dirt bike. I bought a 1977 Honda CR-125 and a Honda SL-125 motor.. Sent the Crank cylinder head and cam off to Powroll. They bored, stroked the crank .. Ported the head and reground the cam. Thus I had a nice light 160 CC Trail bike.. I see 170 & 220 CC big bore kits for Groms. When I was 16 years old I put a GYT Kit on a 1975 Yamaha 80-GT it was putting out 19 Horse power with port work and would go from 0-85 MPH in a few seconds. If the engine even hit the power band it would blow out the 6 volt headlight. Then all the flywheel rivets sheared off and I installed an Internal rotor CDI ignition off from a YZ-80
I live close to the back. I cannot believe that people travel that far to ride on a curvy road. And we have much more dangerous roads than just that. Try Hayters Gap.
Hell yea! Get it girl! 🙌🏽 Cannot wait to get back in the mountains 💃🏽
So fun!!!! Cant wait to go back 😊

Great views. This is on my list of rides for next year. I'm in MA so its not terribly far for me.
@@randomstuffwithjoe Highly recommend! Hope you get to experience it!
A Grom on the Tail is just fun. It’s the big heavy bikes that make it a challenge. I want to bring my Rebel 250 there.
@@MichaelH416 I agree. That would be cool to bring the 250 and run up and down the Dragom
glad to see you guys had fun and enjoyed the area. stay safe out there riding.

Thank GOD. I live in East Tennessee and Townsend is only 20 miles from me. I ride to Gatlinburg every month just to pass the time.
