I really like this scene, even though the building collapsed on Godzilla. The music playing , the way Ford looks at Godzilla and the way Godzilla seemingly looks back while on the ground just makes me love this scene, it actually warms my heart. Such an awesome addition.
I know it’s Like Godzilla knows which of us are good and which of us are evil, But the way he looked at Ford, it’s like he cares for humans and understands their pain

For those who complain about the darkness of this movie, this is a fault of the bad Blu-Ray print and not the film itself. It's been proven by many people that the print was terrible. Warner or Legendary NEEDS to release a better print on 4k!!!!!!
Is that really the case? I have a digital copy of this movie that I purchased through the PlayStation Store, on my be PS3, back when they still had movies in the store. I have no issues with scenes being overly dark with my copy. Are there any videos or articles backing up your claim? I'm not doubting you, but I'm just curious.

His victory roar holds so much majesty and power… I get goosebumps every single time
This movie and this scene are highly underrated. Such a great and powerful buildup the entire movie that led up to this scene and ending. Godzilla is portrayed as realistic in this as any movie he's ever been in; and the human roles were great as well. We were given the view of a soldier (marine?) placed in this titanic situation of ancient, god-like monsters fighting one another. King of the Monsters was a great call back to original Godzilla films; but this movie made it feel so life-like and what it actually might be like if Godzilla were to ever exist in our world.

I may not watch it a lot when compared to the other monsterverse movies but I really do think this one is fantastic. Not only was it an awesome jumping off point for the series, but it also redeemed Americas track record with Godzilla and gave him the respect he deserves.
This one is honestly the best one of the American monster verse. It kinda goes downhill from here.

This movie still gives me chills even after 8 years the fight scenes are so underated
1:26. I’ve watched this movie billions of times. And i’ve never EVER EVER, seen a Godzilla actually look into a humans eyes. And the human look back into his eyes. And feel each other’s pain. It felt SO emotional. And plus with the music in the background. It felt EVEN MORE emotional.🥲😢😭😓

You should watch Godzilla vs King Ghidorah then (the Heisei version) he directly looks into the eyes of a war veteran and then kills him, in Godzilla 2000 he also looks at the eyes of a man before sending him to his death as well

Really amazing how even though the brightness was turned up, all the scenes and special effects look amazing. They truly did not have to hide the CGI in this movie, because 7 years later it still is some of the best monster effects I've seen.

Agreed, the most brutal Godzilla kills I ever seen in Godzilla history! Godzilla using his atomic breath and went through the muto throat, slicing her throat clean off. Burning Ghidorah’s head in burning Godzilla state. Then, biting down on ghidorah served head, and then, destroyed it with his atomic bomb while, ghidorah was still in his mouth. (This is not an villain death but and hero death), Godzilla charged at kong but rammed into an building head first, then, going on all fours, and then, scratched kong, chest multi times, then, stomped on him twice. Man I tell you what I don’t really want to mess with this Godzilla, at all.

I feel the fact that Brody (the soldier) is only in this movie makes the moment he and Godzilla lock eyes all the more unique. It highlights just how special of a moment this was, that this one man, ultimately and sadly insignificant in the expanding story of the multiverse, had the honor of looking the King of the Monsters in the eye, getting to live with that for the rest of his life as a silent rememberer.
Even Serizawa wasn't blessed with that, only getting at most seconds to truly be one-to-one with Godzilla

I don’t why this scene always gets me so fucking emotional. Like I legit have tears in my eyes. Say what you want about Godzilla, this is the most epic monster ever created, and this specific movie really honoured him. That scream of victory is simply epic and chilling. I fucking love that movie.

Every time I see the part where Godzilla and Ford lock eyes, I just imagine Godzilla basically saying in quiet words “I can’t keep this up for much longer….you must stall her for as long as you can…”
That one scene is so emotional and moving since it gives a point of view of what Godzilla would look like from a human’s POV and also to show a momentary connection between man and monster. I don’t care what anybody else says about G14, I will always like this movie.
