This man is a giant of the Dhamma
Alfred Quinn. You are so right. He was a giant of the Dhamma. I am so sorry to say he died on Monday 2 April, just after noon (London time). I will make a formal annoucement soon and share the last video footage I have of Richard Jones ‘How I Became a Dhamma Teacher’. Although nothing is permanent, I am so sad and sorry that our teacher and friend has gone. He was so good - an example of all he taught. There was no one like him. May He Attain the Supreme Bliss of Nirvana.

Metta to you Alfred Quinn.

Are you aware of what Stanford University is doing?
Stanford University
Working for Freedom on All Fronts: The Radical Dharam Framework for Liberation
I am afraid that the facility are kicking boulders.
No I wasn’t. It looks very interesting. Thank you. Are you involved? What do you mean by “Kicking Boulders” please?
@@LondonBuddhistVideos It is not a good development. They are injecting critical theory into Dhamma and indoctrinating the unsuspecting with false teachings. The boulder is Devadatta.
The course is being funded by the endowment fund, apparently. They are changing the teaching from the Cannon in a program to create activists. The boulder is this program being taught at Stanford University and claiming to be legitimate teachings from the Pali Canon.
Confusion is what it is creating.

This should help you find what I am talking about.
Metta.
I find it interesting the way you give a lecture it is convenient for Asian students as well.
Did Richard Jones write any books? Or, any papers on the Dhamma? Very clear and concise teachings. Thank you.
Hello W P. I am not aware of any books Richard wrote but I will try to find out. I know he wrote some articles for a Buddhist Journal and if you send me an email I will send one or two to you in due course. One of Richard’s dhamma teachers was Walpole Rahula who wrote to the famous book ‘What the Buddha Taught’. Richard highly recommended we read this book and I believe he drew upon it for his own talks. So, I’d recommend the same to you if you appreciate Richard’s simplicity and clarity.
Good job
Thank you. Metta xx
What book does page 69 come from, what is the source for this teaching. Many thanks for this study.
