As a neurodivergent parent and Psychologist, I say well done! Please keep making content!
My son has Autism and cultivating our relationship/ breaking intergenerational cycles is huge a priority. There is mutual Forgiveness daily, so thanks for explaining his continued grace ❤. He inspires me to be more self compassionate and I love him for that.

Thanks for another thought provoking video Sam. I have heaps of "justice sensitivity". I've pondered why and not really got the answer(s). I have an expectation of honesty and an incomprehension of duplicity. I'm a shy loner but open to people and all people are the same (equal) to me so I can't comprehend the tribal politics they use to run the planet. I yearn to be able to help but that would be practical help not emotional support, although I do try with the latter. Sometimes our helpfulness is taken as control-freakery unfortunately. Apparently we are more likely to be whistle-blowers too, which isn't really compatible with a job in intelligence!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, Peter! The whistleblower comment is especially interesting -- I've always wondered if justice sensitivity means autistic people are more likely to report concerns.
I think your approach (having a lot of justice sensitivity, treating people equally, and wanting to help in practical ways) is a valuable and needed one. Sorry that your desire to help has been misunderstood so much.

In its most pure form, forgiveness is the formal acknowledgement of a transgression. The judgement is left implicit as a courtesy.

Thank you very much for your comment! This is really interesting -- you're right that the acknowledgement of a transgression is essentially the sole factor that every definition of forgiveness shares.

Spot on with the comprehensive memory too. I do remember learning to walk (probably younger than two years old). I believe diagnosis helps us realise that a lot of issues are us and not the world. After this we are more likely to accept and confess to our "shortcomings" or biases.
I have to add, we do have strengths too!

That's so interesting that your memory starts before 2! I imagine child psychologists could learn a lot if they collaborated with a focus group of autistic individuals who can actually remember these early ages and potentially provide insight on the child's perspective during (typically) early milestones like walking!
I definitely agree we have strengths! Personally, I believe most traits (autistic or not) have the potential to used for good.
