    I don't understand why the average is 3 1/2 years for an Associates Degree today. I was awarded 4 Associates Degrees in 2 years 3 months. In different fields. 2 Associates of Science and 2 Associates in Arts. I had a total of 220 Credits gained in this time, and only 21 credits for my military experience/training. Further I worked full time as well. I went full time 4 sessions per year. And yes the College is was fully accredited. These are the degrees: Law Enforcement ASc., Criminal Justice Administration ASc. Art AArts., Arts and Letters AArts. All courses were in class none done by testing or portfolio evals. And, all earned with honors. But most importantly, I was told by my High School Counselor that I was not College Material, and that I should consider joining the military and if I die at least I would be a family hero. YES this did happen in 1970. I followed the Counselors advice and joined the Army. ANd when I was medically discharged, I went to college in 19772 because I had guaranteed funding. I graduated 82nd in my high school class. I was second in line for BOTTOM of the class. It was the Army, and specifically the Basic Training Drill SGT that motivated me to endeavor to persevere, if you find an obstacle, go around. And so I did. Apparently I did have what it takes to go to college. Why am I saying this? Well it is not a boast, to was a challenge. I got tired of that bottom of the food chain in educational attainment. And I studied what I wanted, not what anyone else recommended and I was successful. As you too can be. What Ryan is telling you IS FACTUAL and Proven. I may not accept everything he has to say, but he does have a 99% proven format that will work for you. And that is what I personally believe is true. It is up to you to take the challenge.

    University of Massachusetts Global is 3200.00 for 6 months of access to course online? What if you have college credit already will the cost of online access be cheaper?

      If you have credits already, the school may accept a lot of those. Then you shouldn't take as long to graduate. You only pay for the amount of time it takes to finish.

    Hey Ryan, do you think that 6 months is a realistic expectation for the UMass Global Degree? Also, as an international is it the same fee?

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671
      @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671  4 місяці тому +2

      The cost of tuition should be similar. I'm not sure about the administrative fees. It might be a little different, but nothing substantial.
      I've helped students go through U Mass Global in under 6 months. But it totally depends on the student. I've helped students earn Bachelor's Degrees in 3 months, and others take as long as 18 months. There are a number of factors involved. The "Norm" is 6 to 12 months for Bachelor's Degrees.

      Are you a foreign national or have gained at least 1 year of college level credits? If so then present your work history and validation of one year of college credit from a foreign academic institution. For every 3 years of progressive work history, you can validate 1 year of College Equivalency. If all 20 years are in the same field and it was progressive, the Foreign Credential Evaluation Service could consider you have the equivalency of a US Accredited College Degree and you will bypass the necessity for a college Degree. Why? because you cannot be discriminated against for employment because the Immigration and Naturalization Service granted you an H1B Visa and therefore the Credential Evaluation Service evaluation stands as an Accredited award. You can use this evaluation for submission to gain a secondary degree, but it is up to the educational institution to accept the recommendation of the Evaluation Service. But you still have the equivalency, validated and recognized by the Immigration and Naturalization Service at that level to work in the United States.
      If the above is true for you, then you are bonified. Note the Federal Government Civil Service Administration no longer requires a College degree if you meet the "EQUIVALENCY" Criteria of progressive work experience. Here is some basic information: Here is what you need to validate an Associates Degree level for Federal Jobs: 1 year college level education and 3 years of work Experience. For 0 college, you need 5 years of progressive work experience in the same field of employment. For Bachelor equivalency: 0 education and 5 years work experience.
      For Masters equivalency: 0 years of Education and 13 years of progressive work experience.
      Why don't they tell American Citizens that these are the options available? If Foreign Nationals or American Students of Foreign Colleges were to apply for jobs with the federal government, and the above is TRUE, and no degree required!
      Well, it is all about the money and by not telling you the options available, they can get much more income from you, their student. It would save a lot of time and effort and MONEY if the average person knew of these options. Now if you were to gain your RECOGNIZED EQUIVALENCY via the first mode (primarily for foreign nationals/students at foreign colleges), or were a US National/Citizen and focused on the second format of years of experience, you could apply for Federal Civil Service Jobs. You can download info at: www.etsu.edu/human-resources/hiring/equivalences.php which explains it more Indepth. Who knows, this might be your best path.
      If you do either of the pathways, I suggest that you look into credit for work experience. I know that Liberty University awards credit for work and life experiences. Once entered on a Accredited college transcript and if you are awarded at least 30 semester hours, that is considered 1 year of college for the purpose of evaluation of equivalency.
      After you do this, then add Ryan's format to your Education tool chest, and not only will you earn a Degree, and not just the "Equivalency status," at an accelerated rate and lower cost.
      Respectfully,

      If you wanted to enter the Military, an associate degree will start you at an E3 for pay and status. If you have a bachelor's degree, you can enlist as an E4 for pay and status. It is called an accelerated Promotion. Many employers will hire you with an associate degree at mid-range management (Assistant Manager) or Supervisor. The value of an associate degree is that it is Higher than an undergraduate Certificate or Diploma. It also helps you to get a higher starting pay at many jobs.
