Hey gang! Sorry for the confusing language in the beginning here - I'll always share whether a brand is CF, vegan, 3- free, etc - I am curious to know if it is helpful to explain these terms in every video similar to how I explain what 3-free means! I know it can be confusing to hear a non-food item labeled as "vegan" if you're new to the world of nail polish/makeup products!

I would say keep the details about the brand at the beginning! It might help any new people coming across your videos for the first time. It might get boring for long time subscribers, but I'm sure any new people will appreciate the information :)
I think I agree with you on that! There's definitely some confusion surrounding these terms for newcomers!
I actually worry more that it’s annoying to you to have to repeat yourself on every video but I appreciate that you do it because it helps newcomers learn and also if I’m interested in a brand you’re reviewing I don’t have to go lookup the deets myself and just saves me time when considering how interested I am in what the brand is offering. Just food for thought. L

I'm a long time subscriber and still appreciate the details, I would rather not have to go look it up myself as that can be annoying to find. If I know something is vegan and chemical free before I fall in love with a shade then no stress or disappointment if I were to later find out something wasn't haha

Yay, here it is! I’ve been waiting for this review. I recognized the bottles in some of your other reviews! I received this collection by mistake from Orly. I started the Color Pass sub in March (quarterly sub) after a nail polish declutter this year and after receiving spring & summer I realized I’d rather pick out the colors I’m interested in. This year has been very orange heavy, not a color I gravitate towards, although Birds of Paradise may be my favorite orange, just like Here Comes the Sun is my favorite yellow (wearing that now). Orly’s customer service is excellent by the way. They allowed me to keep the collection. I have been introduced to colors that I normally wouldn’t buy, allowing me to get back into experimenting with nail art again and getting out of my comfort zone. They have a great formula, very self-leveling and I too love the rubberized bottle tops!

Re: reading/writing blahs, I think it has a lot to do with the craziness of last year+. I have been listening to audiobooks instead of reading books, because I can’t focus and get caught up in the story like I used to and I used to devour books. It bums me out. Someone pointed out that a big part of what we’re dealing with is grief, not just for the loss of life but also the loss of the way things were in the before times. It’s also harder to get inspired when your world is so much smaller than it used to be.
I am sooo glad that I decided to take the plunge on the Orly Color Pass for this collection. This is such a gorgeous collection & perfect for fall. All of these colors will match my typical fall clothes, which is so cool.
I never buy full collections but I think I'll have to get ALL of these. They are so vibrant and rich, and can work year round no matter what season. The formula looks so creamy and the wide brush is a dream 😍 I am loving this whole set 👌🏽

When I was in high school , I put “write a novel” on my bucket list. For five years after, I would come up with ideas, but nothing would to fruition. About ten years ago I started writing a story, and kept going and going until now it’s a mess that I call a novel (it is over 200 word doc pages). I “finished” it a few years ago and really haven’t touched it. It needs drastic editing as I did not write the story in chronological order. Ever since I wrote the ending, I don’t feel the need to work on it anymore. I feel like I gave my characters the ending they deserved and I’m no longer emotionally attached to it. I’ve had friends read it and they love it, but I just no longer feel the need to finish it and I can’t muster up ideas to start a new story.

I had the equivalent the past year to your writing story but with reading! I didn't pick up a single book to read (and I work in a library, so you know I love books) in about a year.
The thing that worked for me was picking up a book and reading a single word, which became a page, a chapter, and so on! :) I rediscovered the love. You may just need to take the pressure off yourself to feel like you need to do it in order to rediscover the joy it brings you.
I also like the info, it helps because each brand you review is different.

I like the way you open the videos and go over what "x-free" means. I like that I can point my friends who are new to nail polish in the direction of your channel and they're never confused about what you're talking about (and I find that a lot of my friends who are getting into polish also ask what "x-free" means.
Also, I'm an aspiring...? writer. I'm an established fanfic author, but I'm hoping to have my own novel out there someday.
I like that they included some cool tones in this collection since Autumn colors are usually warmer reds, browns, oranges and greens. Also, please continue explaining the 'vegan' and '# free' terms for every swatch video because it's helpful to know these things. I honestly didn't even know this was a thing until I started watching your videos. Thank you for making such informative videos, Kelli!

String of Hearts reminds me of yesterday's swatch review of OPI's 7th and Flower and the In Full Plume is reminding me of My Studio's on Spring..Probably if they were next to each other I wouldn't think this.

I think the squishy quality of Lion's Ear is what did it for me. 🦁💛🧡 As for creative ruts; I can definitely empathize with that. I usually fall back on two techniques to move myself out of creative ruts. *1)* I find creativity in anything else other than the industry I work in. So I will watch movies, museum/art exhibitions, Iris van Herpen fashion show replays, and lately I've been loving the anime series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I look at awesome things from other places, so I don't focus on what people in my industry are doing. *2)* I don't put a time limit on how long is 'too long' to be in a rut. It doesn't matter if it's 6 months or 2 years, because the day that I feel like doing it and I just have that desire to shift back into that gear, then I will just do it, and it will feel right when it's not forced. George R.R. Martin wrote "A Song of Ice and Fire" in 1991 and still hasn't finished the series. Do things in your own time, and you'll likely enjoy the results a lot more. 🙂
I think jellies look sooo cool on nails that have extensions!! The translucent tips give off that ‘stained glass’ look which I just love 🥰 if I’m not always changing my nail polish and soaking them in acetone, I definitely would’ve got extensions for that reason alone hahah

Awesome orly collection, will be putting the two oranges, teal, and green on my want list! And yes love writing! Highly recommend getting an old school alpha smart or typewriter. Takes all the distractions away and also feel less pull to immediate edit myself. But I’d agree I think it’s definitely the world atmosphere right now.

I love this collection so much because of the slight dark and warm tones for fall. I'm actually wearing "In Full Plume" and "Blue Tango" with your recent collection as a skittle gradient mani. It actually worked out pretty nicely and the formula is just so easy to use too. Love your swatch videos and thoughts on the collections you review as always Kelli
I was a big reader before the pandemic. I was in 3 book clubs so I was reading at least 3 books at a time. Since the Corona times, I don't read at all, I have no retention and no desire. It is very sad since I did enjoy it so much. I wish I had some wise words to help you get out of your rut, but sadly, I don't. Just hang in there, so many of us are not finding enjoyment for the same things we did in the past. I hope when "things go back to normal" this means our enjoyment for our hobbies too. Of course, I never lost my passion for nail art so that's a good thing.
I've been eyeing some of these ORLY colors for a while lol. They're so pretty! I realized I didn't really have any greens, or fall colors for that matter. I just bought some from this collection, the bejeweled, desert muse, and the china glaze spice to meet you. I'm excited! I'm a recent subscriber, but I love your videos. Keep being awesome!

I’m so glad you reviewed these, seeing your swatches just reaffirms how much I love this collection! Until I got them in my Color Pass I wasn’t sure how much I’d like them given the similarity between the spring, summer and fall collections but each one has actually been beautiful and these were especially unique to me. The olive green was my favorite! And normally I don’t like jelly formulas but the orange and blue were actually very nice! I’ve been doing skittles for weeks using colors from all three collections! I actually used Lion’s Ear and Synthetic Symphony along with LA Colors Constellation from their Diamond Crush collection to make a Halloween mani in celebration of Starbucks PSL launch day today!!! 🥰🎃💅🏼🥳

Totally understand the lack of connection to a book! Sometimes I feel that switching genres for your next book, or even reading a book within your normal genre but with a different plot than your usual reads can help!
I wasn’t sure how I felt about this collection when I received it in color pass. But, once again, your swatches always make me want to try all of them immediately.
Oh wow, I haven’t written anything in maybe a year or two? Mostly I’m uninspired. I almost finished a book, decided to was too cringe and then scrapped it.

And please keep going with the brand facts at the beginning, I am being bit more careful with what I spend my money on so it's good to know how good the brand is animal treatment wise and similar :)

In regards to reading books I would recommend John Green's newest book the Anthropocene Reviewed. It was the first book I couldn't put down, and a change of pace from the normal fiction books I read.
I'm a writer! :) I've got a couple novel drafts in the drawer and have had a couple short stories published. It is totally normal to not be as inspired to write with everything going on in the world right now, and if you add not being inspired by the books you've been reading lately. I sadly haven't really been creative writing except for the odd spurt for the last four years since my concussions plus starting my current job (same work, new position which is more demanding). It can happen sometimes. Also, from what I've heard from my writer friends, it's pretty common to hit a point in writing a novel when it gets rough and you just aren't in it.
I know what you mean about visible nail line. Sometimes you actually want it there because it looks elegant and pretty, but I think it depends on the polish. I've always wanted to write a book too and I'm also voracious reader. Right now I'm reading 4 books. I was reading 6 but I finished two. I love non fiction but I also read a lot of fiction.

Yesss Kelli you should try watermarbling these! I’ve only watermarbled once a couple years ago and it was such an involved task I never got around to trying it again 😂 but I definitely want to again sometime!
I like the info at the beginning but then again I am trying to get into more clean brands because I have a pretty big collection these days. Also, had to buy this collection because I love how bold and vivid the hues are but also while hinting at drawing back from neons and bright brites. And I am an avid reader too but I used to belong to an RP community that just wrote stories together. It's super hard to find that anymore so I don't write that much but once I learn how to give life to action scenes I would love to get back into it.

I've wanted to be a writer since I was fifteen and have pursued it on and off until about five years ago when I just quit. And regretted it. Last year my mom said something to me (I don't even remember what it was now) that sparked it back into life. In the past sixteen months I've written two books, am finishing a work in progress, am editing one of those books, and have had a professional editor look at the first fifty pages of that book for a critique. Sometime soon I'm gonna get the courage to write a query letter, then start querying agents.
Love these colors. One of the few collections that I considered picking up in it’s entirety. Wearing blue tango right now and I love it. Made sure to pick up Kelli’s emerald when I ordered so that is next on the mani list!
Yes do a water marble. I’ve been wondering if the work well as I here Orly polish take awhile to dry. I haven’t experienced that with your calab polishes, but wondered if it depends on the formulas.

I love this collection! I have the color pass and was surprised how much I love the green on me. These all work really well with my skin tone. I was wearing the fuchsia color when I hacked off the top of my nail way into the quick (yeah it was as awful as it sounds) The upside was I received your two green polishes the next day and Kelli's Emerald went perfectly with my camouflage band-aid.😂.
Your writing is suffering from the flu...we all changed so much during that time; things we loved lost their charm and we picked up new or revisited hobbies.
My favorite fall collection by far! I love Jellies I hope Orly does more.
This really reminds me of Essies's Waterfall in Love collection from last fall. I prefer Orly's Desert Muse collection from last fall, it was so good! I think the info at the beginning is a great idea, very helpful.

Now I do consider myself an aspiring writer, I've def been putting some more serious time into a piece I've been working on for a few years myself! I totally feel you on the rut thing and I do wish I had advice on how I overcome mine. I don't necessarily do full on writing sessions, I have a note in my phone where I'll jot down ideas and just be able to work on them when I have the time!

Great video as usual. I write also, but I’ve had the same issue about inspiration lately. I used to write lots of fan fiction. One I’m very proud of is called , “Harry Potter Finding Grace.” Wrote it several years ago and it’s been read by people all around the world, and occasionally someone still finds it and reads it. Fun!

Also really enjoyed the additional information on the ethical standards for the company…it’s always good to get a refresher on those details but not necessary every video. Maybe once a month, you could pick a company to elaborate more with their standards for production👍🏻
Love your videos and reviews❤️…wondering how hard would it be to compare colors between companies’ collections and launches? Say I wanted an army green and OPI, Orly, etc have similar colors but which one is a better polish and worth the money. I know this is all opinion, but I still like the idea of only one really GREAT army green rather than buying something inferior and being disappointed! Just a thought🤔
Yes! I finished a story I've been writing since I was 15 (and I do mean writing, I used up several notebooks to write it down!) I suddenly decided to start again in 2016, after going ages without touching it, and as I've matured so my story has matured, so I like this version much better. I still haven't finished typing it up though, that's the hard part (and I finished the writing bit in 2019, nearly two years ago!) Now I'm revisting the story I started when I was 17, which I posted on Quizilla (anyone remember that? 😁 )
I love solid jellies (like without glitter or anything) - I wish there were more of them around. I want that orange jelly!

Hey Kelli! Have you ever done a stained-glass window nail art effect with jellies? I think that peek-through effect jellies have would create the perfect "window-like" effect. Also, if you ever do another collab, I hope that you do a green polish with fuchsia and/or blue shimmer. I think that would be a cool combo.
I love the colors, haven't tried them yet, sadly! I also love to write, what helps me is reading books, listening to music, sometimes looking up art helps inspire me with my writing. You might try that, and I hope it works for you! Being stuck with writing isn't fun, I've been there, and I still end up there from time to time. I'm wishing the best of luck with your writing!
