The solution ISNT nerfing the Shadow. I would suggest: *Mage armor with set effects only beneficial to elemental/demonic spells. *Mage special attacks that lowers elemental weakness resistance. This way, nothing takes away the effectiveness of the shadow but still provide excellent options for elemental and demonic spells.
Shadow shouldn't be nerfed to be worse, but have its numbers rejigged so it scales less. Right now the weapon is broken with ancestral but ranges from mid to useless with other armors because of its stat multiplying ability. Raising its inherent bonuses and reducing the multiplier to it hits just as hard in max mage would make it more useful with other magic sets, open up future mage item design, and not nerf the shadow.

Future magic upgrades with magic dmg% will affect shadow 3-4x more than other magic styles, with this format its not possible to buff normal magic without buffing the shadow to the extreme. The fletching minigame seems pretty cool, as an alternative to just training it while bank standing. Also run changes are pretty dope for blast furnace and zmi altar, when I get to train them that seems like a pretty nice buff. RSN Zaavi zc

Makes sense that the BIS mage cape is going to be tradeable. It provides skilled players with a new good money maker and leaves an opportunity for there to be a better mage cape in the future that is untradeable. Only the Demonic Mark will be tradeable so players will at least have to obtain an imbued god cape to make the Eldritch Veil. Jagex cannot effectively ban infernal cape and quiver buyers anymore with the new service methods so this at least puts GP in actual players hands instead of money in a service's pocket
Aaaaaand now the Reddit cry babies want the cape to be tradable again now that its untradeable after realizing this new boss's profits are slashed and this is not an inferno/colosseum equivalent boss....
The quiver was already bad enough being released so close the assembler... not a fan of them constantly scaling up the bis capes... can we talk about something to close the gap more between the msb (i) / hunter xbow with moonlight bolts and the bofa? Ranged is still an insane grind to get end game items.

Honestly i dont think the new mage cape needs to be like the infernal cape or the quiver, nor do i think the -2 prayer bonus is a big deal. Mage is already the best combat style, espeically with the new elemental weakness updates, things dont need to get even easier right now
100k people got inferno cape as of 2025. Shadow is already broken and shows magic is perma hindered now behind powercreep. I got my inferno cape in 21 and shadow in 24, the new cape is bad luck possible it isnt the same as collo diff or the endurence of inferno.

This has nothing to do with anything, really, but I was so distracted in the Hallowed Sepulcher footage in the 'Run Energy Changes' section at the beginning because all I could think of was that line from J1mmy's plug-in video; 'Even with Woox's vision, you still suck, you're still mis-clicking.' I play without any tile markers or player indicators, and seeing practically the exact same gameplay precision I would have despite all the markers on screen just made me laugh a bit. Not saying Kaoz or anyone else actually sucks, especially since the HS run was probably done quickly just for some footage, it was just a fun little observation.
I like the tradeable cape. There are plenty if items that you can have to show off your prestige. If thats what youre interested in go get youre blood torva and infernal and dianas and the various other cosmetics that you can get from compelting raid challenges. We have quite a few prestige items already.

I do not like almost any of these rewards. That cape is fucking dogshit. the boots seem ok, but I am honestly not sure how much it would matter or if I like the fact that best in slot items will become tribrid. I kinda fail to see where you would use the antler guard offhand when you can easily get a defender. The Slightly Worse D-scim is alright. Idk how to feel about the Thrall thing. There is way too little information to go off of and I would rather not occupy my ammo slot for this. I would rather have a buff for the Thralls that make them do a special attack every now and again and the charges be on the Book of the Dead. How they did not think of that is beyond me... It's like they forgot that book existed just like every time I take thralls somewhere. The only one I really like is the Diabolic Aegis. Will likely vote no on the rest until I see improvements.

The new mage cape is not strong enough. Imbued God capes are basically as good in all areas. Wish that Occult didn’t get nerfed so bad.

That cape is fucking dogshit. the boots seem ok, but I am honestly not sure how much it would matter or if I like the fact that best in slot items will become tribrid.
I kinda fail to see where you would use the antler guard offhand when you can easily get a defender. The Slightly Worse D-scim is alright.
Idk how to feel about the Thrall thing. There is way too little information to go off of and I would rather not occupy my ammo slot for this. I would rather have a buff for the Thralls that make them do a special attack every now and again and the charges be on the Book of the Dead. How they did not think of that is beyond me... It's like they forgot that book existed just like every time I take thralls somewhere.
The only one I really like is the Diabolic Aegis.
