Eastern Canada’s Favourite Ski Paradise is Only 90 Minutes North of Montreal

The Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal are one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world, consisting today of eroded rolling hills that make up Quebec’s largest outdoor playground. Virtually inaccessible until a train was built in the 19th century connecting Montreal to the region, the area has been transformed over the last century to become one of Canada’s most popular vacation spots, with the towering Mont-Tremblant at its heart. With a height of nearly 3,000 feet and 102 ski trails on four sides, Tremblant is Canada’s second most popular ski resort (after Whistler) and offers some of the best skiing in eastern North America, as well as an endless array of year-round activities including hiking, biking, fat-biking, golfing, zip-lining, canoeing, ice skating, tubing, dog sledding and snowmobiling. At the base of the mountain is a colourful European-style pedestrian village filled with great restaurants, shops, hotels and spectacular rental properties that have become famous around the world for their beautiful setting and warm Québécois charm.

Yes that was so sad, I think I may do a separate video on that tragedy and how it helped spur a movement to always wear a helmet when skiing.
