After a long two months preparing our chai business (Chaiwala Chai) for Toronto's biggest Christmas Show (One of a Kind) &&& launching our brand new cookbook (Weekday Whip Ups), Eamon and I felt it was time for a little van life winter vacation. Of course, living in a van in the cold and snowy temperatures means that our reset time is a little less outdoors and more reliant on good food/cafes and indoor activities. So, we decided to show our van life besties The Matney's a good time by escaping with our self converted Sprinter vans to Prince Edward County (about two hours east of Toronto). Hope you enjoy this van life vlog as much as we enjoyed making it!!

Glad to have you back. I was wondering how successful the trade show was for your business? Anywho, I just did a little Christmas shopping for tea and the ebook. I can't wait to see if I like vegan food. You really peaked my interest when you said Bob lost 70 lbs. I am a little concerned about finding some of the ingredients. Can I pick them up at a regular grocery store or should I go to Trader Joe's or somewhere else? Well, I love your positive attitude and am looking forward to more videos. I will be in my van in 10 and 1/2 months if everything goes according to plan. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

I am in Alaska. The darkness sucks as does the snow and cold, but it sure is pretty. We had a bout a foot of snow fall two days ago and I shoveled out the drive at 21 F (same as your -6 c) and it wasnt too bad. Had to hurry cuz it gets dark here at 3pm. Last night it got down to 10 F. We count the days to Dec 21st so we can start gaining daylight!! Awesome that you are finding things to do in the winter.

We've loved living in the van in Ontario because it's forced us to check out so many places we never would've gone to visit otherwise. Prince Edward County is one of those places!!

I'm sorry it wasn't clear but this meal was 100% VEGAN! The loaf was a combination of lentil and nuts :). And for everyone who is feeling like policing vegans and what they share... please know that this does not help the cause and instead makes those who are "doing their best" less likely to share the positive improvements they are making!
Question, being your truck is diesel do you have to plug it in over night or when it gets below 0 degrees?
