Great little movie! It is so good to see that some people have the courage to leave it all behind. Miriam is my amazon hero...! I really enjoyed reading the book, and I am now waiting for a Turkish translation! I am sure the people in Turkey would love to read about their lifestyle too.
I'm sorry I disagree with you. As a very strong and independent woman I have found in my 67 years on Earth that MOST men are intimidated by strong women. That isn't to say they don't feel lust but lust isn't a relationship. We live in a sexist World.
It is a great idea to do what you are doing. I do major backpacking trips and go 100 miles without resupply. People aren't even going outside anymore leave alone knowing how to start a fire. Thank you for the inspiration.
Hi Miriam and Peter I first watched your video a year ago and I have not been able to forget it and it plays over and over again in my head, I found it again and here I am. Funny thing, my favourite childhood program was also Robin Hood and I also had the chance in primary school in Auckland to play the role of Robin Hood which was so much fun. I have always since believed it’s ok to take from the rich in the form of corporations and give to the poor, it’s funny how tv programs can influence us and nurture our core beliefs as children which can stay with us even well into our adult lives. I have my whole life never understood why we must confirm to there way of life and why we are not nurtured into making our own decisions on many many topics including where we choose to live. I have for a long time now wanted to do exactly what you guys are doing and I think there are not enough words to actually describe you two but if I was limited to just a few I would say, brave, enlightened and free. I feel my mind and spirit is trying to bring me home to be free as my soul longs for it and my mind breaks with out and is clouded but craves clarity. I would love so much to sit and talk with both of you and I think you both have a lot of knowledge in areas I am most interested in for example higher states of consciousness. Thanks for taking the time to post these soul inspiring and mind filling videos
I'm from Holland (like her). It really sucks we don't really have much nature here. I have to travel lots to see and experience mountains and forests and quiet and peace. Have been to Norway and Sweden many times but its a long travel.. Just wish I could move into nature in random weekends or short holidays.
Really inspirational...my friend read your book if you remember me telling you when you came into the library...and she said it was life changing...im watching as much stuff about you guys that I can find...you guys are my real life super hero's! How sad that something that is so instinctual for so many of us is so scary to fathom. Society has definitely gone backwards in this sense of evolution. Kia kaha awesome humans!

You might want to try and contact Laura Zerra. But there are a lot of female survivalist out there. When you are in AUS/NZ area try to see if you can meet up with Andrew Ucles. Your energy levels don't match but meeting eachother for a short period and conversing about your common interest should still be very interesting.
I love how you live your lives. Its a shame we have this fear to engage in such decision and turn our backs to all the things this world can offer. I love doing it but Im succumbed with fear. I will regret this my entire life.
I really am a lover of what you and peter have done, im not a lover of the "women only survival expedition diatribe", feminism begins straight out of the wild, many men these days would struggle to survive, esp average wage slaves and white collar brigads.... so why just women?
