If flop is AKx I get it hits your AK/AA/KK as 3better but why overbet cbet, shouldn’t you cbet small because you cbet at a high frequency because it’s good for your range? Is it the added flush draw?
Not a poker pro myself, but I would think its to target and put maximum pressure on weaker aces or hands like KQ that the opponent might frequently call 3-bets with in these lower-handed games. If you imagine sitting there with like A5s on AK4 for example and you know you'll be all in by the river if you call down, its easy to overfold and let them print money.
I'd guess it can't be more than 1/4 pot river, when you flopped the joint. Like you said, where do your bluffs come from, when you call the turn 3b, with a player behind. Play small bet for a sigh call from his sets & two pairs and give chance for QJ, KJ to spazz too.
