Man the movie made me so sad, and I watched it on New Year’s Eve Gotta rewatch it, it is a masterpiece, people have to know how to appreciate life through art That is exactly why I love romanticism
Man I’ve been looking for just a nice video essay on dead poets society and this is fantastic, if you ever have the time I would love love love a pursuit of happiness thesis statement.
This film made me appreciate my father and upbringing even more, I was in a handful of plays in school and he saw all of them. He was never like Neil's father. Thank God. I've often wished others had the parents I did because even with their imperfections, I knew that tragically some in this world have had horrid parents, or none at all...wonderful video also Gather ye rosebuds. While. Ye. May.
I love your way to analyse movies because you somehow find a new point of view I have never taken in inconsideration before. Can't wait for more of your video.
I don't believe Neil's father had to self-awareness to take responsibility. He believes his children are just clay that he can mold them into what he wants. So from that point of view it's Mr Keating's fault. Side note, I love how the portrayal of Mr. Perry landed Kurtwood Larson Smith The role as Red Foreman in that '70s Show.
Dude your video is exactly the kind of content I'm trying to create! Thank you so much for this great video. I hope I can get my channel to grow as well as yours
I was reading Dostoevsky and remembered this movie 🤍 it matches a lot with Dostoevsky's philosophy. "beauty will save the world" - The Idiot, Dostoevsky
Hey there Schloetz! Excellent video essay!! Being a long-time Dead Poets aficionado, I've found it very sad that somehow many people on the internet have attached a completely (in my opinion) off-base theory as to the meaning behind this magnificent film. I am upset that it may influence other creatives NOT to watch the film afraid that doing so would categorize them as the aforementioned. Do you understand what I am getting at - and has this influenced you to not even approach said theory in this video? Just curious...
Hi there, thank you for the compliment, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. In regard to your query, that's a rather vague description so I'm not exactly sure which theory you're referring to

It's a very somber piece, but it's also quite cathartic
I'm literally just binge - watching all your "thesis - statement" videos. You inspire me so much, thank you
Thank you :0

A beautiful way to unpack such an amazing piece of art. Rip to Robin Williams who contributed so much to this project and our childhoods

I wish I had a father like yours, your thesis on this movie perfectly captured the words I fear alot of people couldn't quite find.
